Spiritual Awakening: Tom Cochrane Driving The Spiritual Highway!!!
Tom Cochrane inspired this post today with his song Life is a Highway. In the song he speaks about driving the highway of life and finding someone to share it with. He spoke of driving the highway all night long. This led me to think about how we are driving our spiritual highway and who or what we find along our spiritual highway as we continue on our path to spiritual awakening. The spiritual awakening process starts as you begin your travels in acknowledgement that you are a divine child of GOD. This spiritual awakening continues as you become an action taker and continue your travels along the spiritual highway answering your calling by finding your purpose. The spiritual highway is filled with many detours and traffic and you begin to make a change in your personal and professionallife and you continue to make a mind, body, soul connection.
Sometimes on your spiritual highway you may feel like Irene Cara’s character Coco Lopez from Fame out there on your own, however know that spirit is always with you guiding you along this spiritual path and protecting you. When you take the exits off of the spiritual highway know that you are not alone and that it is okay to show your emotions and that many feelings will be felt and it is okay to feel all of them. When you pull into that hotel off of the spiritual highway know that you have time to reflect and unwind and to rejuevenate for the next phase of your journey. Know that it is the alone time when you find the answers in the quiet. It is when we feel alone that we find the oneness consciousness along our spiritual highway and discover that all we need is being provided for us by GOD.
Spiritual Awakening: Traveling The Spiritual Highway
As I found the poem written by Mae Stein, I was reminded of a previous blog entry, What Is At The End Of Your Rainbow, which I wrote as I continued to travel along my spiritual highway. When you drive your spiritual highway you will find that you discover many things that reasonate with you and help you in keeping cenetered and grounded. It is in slowing down while driving the spiritual highway that you begin to find an appreciation for things along the way. How many times have you pulled to the side of the spiritual highway to experience the divinity that exists everywhere you look? If you look at the clouds in the spiritual highway photo you will see dofferent things that embody your spiritual awakening. When you travel your spiritual highway you will encounter detours and traffic in the form of nay sayers and those that do not vibrate on the same resonance as you, when this occurs take a deep breath, hold a place for them, and pray that when they are ready to trave their spiritual highway that they will be led by grace and love.
Which exit will you choose to take when traveling your spiritual highway?
What will you see along your spiritual highway?
Spiritual Awakening: Where Does Your Spiritual Highway Lead?
One of my stops on my spiritual highway was in Bauang, where I served as a U.S.Peace Corps Volunteer at a Regional Rehabilitation For Youth in Bauang, La Union Philippines. I attribute taking this exit as the beginning of my spiritual awakening as I had many opportunitites to discover that I was a caring compassionate person filled with spirit and under the direction of an all powerful GOD. It was at the market where I learned to interact and embrace the fact that I would be fed for the day, it was at the beach that I learned the lessons to take a break and observe nature, it was at city hall that I learned love for the people there embraced me and made me feel part of the community. It was at the resorts and The VFW that I learned compassion as I had the opportunity to help with many projects such as being Santa Claus For Orphans.
Today my spiritual highway has taken me to an exit in Sunrise, FL where I help other people excel by helping them to step into their greatness. I have learned much along my spiritual highway and I am still traveling the path and seeing where it will take me. Where will your spiritual highway lead.
As you begin or continue your journey of spiritual awakening take the steps and cherish the moments and see where your spiritual highway will take you. Stay Positive, Safe Travels!!!
