Debbie Ford made her transition yesterday (2/18/2013) upon hearing of her loss I immediately thought about all the lives she impacted and how many more she will impact because her legacy lives on through her teachings that have been turned into books and videos.The lessons Debbie Ford will definitely enhance your personal and professional life on the journey of Spiritual Awakening. The greatest lesson I learned from Debbie was to be a giver and to put the right energy behind your giving.

I opened up my aol and there in the headlines was the news that the charasmatic owner of The L.A. Lakers had passed. Jerry Buss taught us all valuable lessons about being a star and a champion both in the arena and outside the arena. Jerry was a believer in helping others to fufill their potential. One of the greatest coaches in our time, Pat Riley, credits Jerry Buss for his success as it was Jerry who saw Pat’s talent and gave him a shot at coaching. Jerry Buss was always quick to help others as evidenced by all of his philanthropic endeavors. He was proud of his accomplishments but also humble as he creditted the many people around him for assisting him to achieve the goals and objectives he set for The Lakers. Jerry’s kindness showed in all he did be it a press conference, a championship celebration, working in his office, at a charity event as he was a class act. The biggest lesson I received by watching Jerry over the years was to nuture others and allow them to shine.
Though I never met Jerry or Debbie I was able to observe them and study them and learn valuable lessons like giving from the heart, forgiving people, being kind in all you do, being authentic, speaking your truth, taking risks, and make your life have meaning and purpose. Looking at photos of Jerry and Debbie I see two very special people who understood their spiritual calling. Now as they reside in heaven as angels watching over us let us remember their teachings and do our best to be spiritually awake and shine a bright light on all those we come in contact with as we go through life.
The link between Jerry and Debbie is that they both battled cancer valiently and graciously. They taught us to dream and to move forward in a positive manner despite all the obstacles that they faced. They taught us to believe in ourselves. They were both champions in life and now in death their legacy of lessons taught will live on to help us further our mission and tofind our purpose as we continue on our path to awakening.
To Debbie and Jerry and all those in heaven I dedicate this song to you as one day we will meet again.
