Spiritual Awakening: Tracgic Events Like Hurricane Sandy Lead To Positive Shift!!!
It has been about 5 weeks since Hurricane Sandy ravaged The Northeastern part of The United States and there are many families who are still digging out and rebuilding what was lost. In the direct aftermath of the storm people were coming out and doing relief efforts and the news media was all over the story. Relief efforts are still underway and yet the news cameras are gone and the general public has seemed to have moved on to other endeavors. A storm in many cases is the catlyst that is needed to bring people together for a positive shift. It is sda that it takes a tragic event to wake people up to the idea that being kind and helping your neighbors is the right thing to do. Many times we have a power to help others and do the right thing long before a storm hits. By being a person of action before, during, and after a storm you can create a positive shift to enhance your life and the lives of those you come in contact with. There are those who will say a storm like Hurricane Sandy was a message from GOD to us all that he is very upset by the way we are living in our country and how we are treating one another.
Perhaps with storms like Hurricane Sandy God is testing all of us to see if we change our ways and get to our spiritual teachings and begin to eliminate the sins like Greed, Glutony, and Sloth and repair our communities by also repairing oursleves by going deep inside ourselves and using our talents to sow our good.
Spiritual Awakening: A Divine Message Found in Tragedy of Chiefs and Cowboys
Two incidents in the NFL took place over the last two weeks that show us just how quickly life can change and how important it is to cherish the time we have on earth. Linebacker Jovan Belcher of The Kansas City Chiefs shot and killed his girlfriend and then shot and killed himself leaving many to ponder why? In an interview Herm Edwards made a point that this scene is played out all to often in our culture and it is sda that it takes something of this magnitude to bring it to the forefront. Josh Brent of Nose Tackle For The Dallas Cowboys is facing Intoxocation mansalughter Charges in the death of his good friend and Teamate Jerry Brown. Josh Brent was driving under the influence when he lost control of his car and it flipped over leaveing Jerry Brown dead. In an interview one of the commentators asked why didn’t Josh Brent take advantage of The NFL’s free car service provided by for the players when they need a ride of any type? These events show us that GOD is sending us a message to reach out and help others so tragic events like these can be avoided. It is when we go back to out teaching of the fruits of spirit that I have mentioned before that we truly see teh divine message.
By living as an example of these fruits of spirit tragedies like the ones mentioned above can be avoided.
Spiritual Awakening: Triumph Over Tragedy Gives Hope!!!
There are many who have overcome a tragedy in their life and have gone on to help others and to spread a message of hope to others. Programs such as NBC’s Chase American Giving Awards focused on those who are giving back and taking what some would consider amazing odds and winning. The following video Highlights on of the charities featured during the show. which aired on December 8, 2012.
