Spiritual Awakening: Walking With Spirit!!!!
Today as I was working in the club room at my clubhouse is Sunrise, FL a worker from our complex cam in and he was wearing a Christmas Hat and jingle bells. I commented how I liked his Christmas Spirit and he replied thanks just doing my part to spread some joy. I thought for a moment and thought he is walking in spirit. I thne began to think how can we all walk in spirit and show the 7 fruits of spirit through our actions and then I thought simply by allowing ourselves a moment to be grateful for what we have and having the ability to share with others. Today answer the question of what am I grateful for and how will help others. You will see that soon you are walking in spirit and your entire outlook will change.

Many times it is when we turn back to the spiritual teachings and begin to explore the fruits of spirit and the faith we have in a higher power we begin to walk in spirit and as a result people see this and are attracted to us and more likely to nhelp us with our mission. What mission have you chosen? For me I have chosen to help create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. I have set up a page at http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogglederman and hope you will show love, while being kind, spreading joy, experiencing peace, being patient, understnading goodness and faithfulness, being gentle and excercising self control. For it is not about the materialistic things that we may receive it is in the intrinsic feelings that we truly walk in spirit.
One of the greatest ways to walk in spirit is to help others that may not have as much as you do. In 1989 I began to chair The Spreading The Joy Project for The Coral Springs Jaycees and served as chairman until 2001. Upon my arrival home from U.S. Peace Corps Service in The Philippines in 2003 I was asked to take the project back over, which I did until 2008. I was definitely walking in spirit and as a result over 1,000 needy children were able to have a joyful Christmas. I remember the days standing in front of KMART asking for donations. I remember one day The Manager came out and asked why do you do what you do? I answered because I don’t have money to give to these kids, however GOD gave me a gift and it is through that gift that I can help others. I further said becuase the look on the kids faces when they come shopping at your store is amazing. As I refelct on that day I realize that by walking in spirit and helping others you help yourself. For many of the kids on the shopping spree it wasn’t about the gifts it was about seeing that people cared.

Spiritual Awakening: Ways To Walk In Spirit
I am asked many times, JDOGG How Do You Walk In Spirit? My answer is always there are many ways to walk in spirit and here are a few.
1: Be impecable with your word if you say you are going to do something then do what you promised.
2: Don’t take anything personally as people will talk and they will make judgments without knowing the whole story.
3: Don’t assume make sure you are informed and understand what is being expected of you
4: Do your best – Give 100% to all you commit to. I always say I don’t care if there are 5 or 500 in the audience I am their to deliver a presentation and I give it my all as I owe it to the people who showed up to do so.
5: Share your gifts- I remember my dad telling me the story of how he was on vacation and went into a meat market just to check it out and the gentleman behind the counter was struggling with a piece of meat he was cutting my dad being a trained butcher went over and helped him thus sharing his gift and walking in spirit. The gentlman offered my dad a job but dad explained he was on vacation.
6: Be kind in all you do- The simple things like letting soeone go ahead of you in the grocery line sometimes makes a world of difference. I was on line at Publix one day and a women had a boquet of flowers and I said go ahead I can wait and she said thank you. She told me she was on her way to a funeral for a friend, I told her NAMASTE as she left and she said GOD be with you. By walking in spirit you can and will positively touch lives.
7: Love yourself and show others love and the love will spread and soon more people will be walking in spirit.
