Spiritual Awakening: Making The Change-Honoring Gandhi
I found this video by MC Yogi honoring Mahatma Gandhi who would have been 147 years old yesterday (10/2/12). I think of the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and his fortitude to stand on his principles and have an entire nation follow. In honoring Gandhi and make a decision to be principled in spirit you are moving further on your spiritual path so that you can also change the world. You have a power inside of you to make changes in yourself that will change others and thus one by one the world is changed.
Gandhi’s message of finding your power inside gives us insight into the way our spirit works. When we take action to find the power inside of us we begin to find all of our inner talents and when we develop the talents and use them for the power of good good things begin to happen. We begin to have an awakening and thus by being conscious and awake we are able to move in a positive direction to change ourselves and to change others.
Gandhi’s message can help us to find the humanistic side in all of us and to create a world where we coexist and learn that regardless of our own beliefs we are all interconnected and thus have a responsibility to enhance each others personal and professional lives. It is when we are open to receive and willing to recognize that we are all divine beings that we make the world a better place. Gandhi came alive and answered his calling and affected change building a sense of community and showing us how to chase our dreams.
As yourself what do you want to create to affect change and what action will you take to be that change. One of my projects is to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays through my participation with Relay for Life thus I have created a website http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogglederman where you can help me be the change I want to see in the world. The power to change and the emotional desire to change the world is inside of you so find the one thing you want to change and change yourself and then make that change.
It is a great feeling to have when you conceive something, you believe in it, and then you achieve it. It is when we allow the flow of our thoughts and words to propel us to do good that we find happiness. Think of whatrt you are doing and if it is allignment with your thoughts, words, and actions.
Imagine if we recited this daily and if we shared this with others how effective it would be. I would suggest getting this printed on one sode of your business card and your information on the other. This could be the begining of something great as you honor Gandhi and practice some of his principles. The idea is for you to make the change by changing yourself and then being a shining light to help others.
It is when we eliminate the greed factor in our life that we begin to truly connect with others. This week when you buy bread buy 2 loaves one for yourself and one to give. It is when you begin to do for others that other will do for you. Share what you are doing to help others.
It is when you step up to help others that you truly help yourself. You may never know the result of just sharing a smile or a kind word but do it anyway. Your action for the betterment of all will shine long after you are gone so do something.
Continue to have faith in others and continue to be a shining light for those you come in contact with. You have a power to create a world that is full of love, peace, and happiness. There are many doing good and following the lessons of a leader like Gandhi that we are seeing a global shift for good. If you know of someone doing good work in their community please share under comments.
May you find peace, love, and happiness in all that you do.
