Spiderman had Peter Parker, Batman had Bruce Wayne, and Superman had Clark Kent. Each character illustrates a transformation from who they were perceived to be to who they could become. How do you use your alter ego to transform yourself and create the spiritual well being that you seek. At times we may become conflicted because of our alter ego or the duality we feel we must face as we are affected by the thoughts and beliefs of our childhood and the fear of being a bit different than what is perceived as normal. We often ask ourselves what role must I play? How must I act in this situation because of fear. many times we create an alter ego to compensate for our short comings and we begin to discover who we truly are and we do some deep introspection and discover that we are who source desires us to be. We all play a role in this and despite our duality at times we become the shining lights of hope for others.
Many of us struggle as to who we really are as we tend to be in the mode of pleasing others instead of doing the things that bring us joy and happiness. The key is to not to allow the alter ego to take over however instead to use it as a strength to become our authentic self. We can embrace the person we are becoming and remember that it is okay to have the alter ego if it is used properly to enhance our transformation not to mask our transformation. In certain professions having the alter ego is a great benefit and is necessary for the success in that given industry, however when the alter ego’s purpose is done we put it away and go about being wh we truy are and who we weremeant to be.
Miley Cyrus portrayed Hannah Montana as a fictional character so she could express herself as a singer and at the end of The Hannah Montana Movie she reveals she is Miley and said she couldn’t be Hannah in her home town an dthe reason she had the secret was because in the music industry she needed to create an alter ego so as to sell tickets, sell albums and get recognition. The Hannah Montana Character ran its course and Miley Cyrus is now be who she truly is. There is a time that the alter ego will serve us and then we put it away.
Chad Johnson who now plays with the Miami Dolphins created an alter ego of Chad Ocho Cinco so as to feed a need for recognition and recentky changed his name back to Chad Johnson. Chad exemplifies something that many on a spiritual path go through and that is the struggle to find their true identity.

It is when we truly embrace who we are and acceot what we can become that we find our I AM. Your I AM will change as you evolve on your journey and you will discover who you are becoming. In finding your I AM you will go through many transformations and you will go through trials and tribulations. The idea is to be true to yourself and to use the alter ego as a transformative power to find your I AM.
