Spiritual Awakening: What is Your Power?
When I was a kid I remember watching Superfriends on Saturday Morning and thinking how powerful these characters are. As I got older I began to ask the question, what is your power? Over the years of exploring I found my power to be the ability to bring people together for the benefit of others. In high school I was the one who captained our March of Dimes Walk Team, in college I was the one who organized the special events like The Homecoming Bon Fire, where we collected donations for a local children’s hospital. After college I joined The Jaycees and quickly began chairing special events. Today I do volunteer work with The American Cancer Society through Relay for Life and have found my power in fundraising. For the last 9 years I have been a STAR Supporter of The Relays that i participated in, raising a minimum of $1500 each year. Finding your power can be done by:

3: Finding What Makes You Come Alive
4: Looking at What Brings You Joy
5: Studying and Reading
Spiritual Awakening: Using Your Power
Once you discover the power you have and how powerful you truly are it is time to decide how you will use the power to enhance your personal and professional life while enhancing the lives of others. It is when you step into your power and understand noone else can usurp your power unless you allow them to that you can maximize the power that you have.
You may be a great painter who can deliver a strong message through imagery. People like your work and begin to offer you top dollar for your work. You begin to accunulate disposable income. You are upset that Art classes are being cut in schools so you begin to use your disposable income to help fund programs and you volunteer 1 day a week in your local school. More people begin to discover you and continue to support your mission and now you have used your power to make a positive impact on this world.
A great example of someone who found their power and began to use it for the power of good is Evelyn Ballin, The Heart Painter. Evelyn had a vision to use her power of painting hearts and delivering an inspiring message and oppened up a studio in Boca Raton, FL, The Heart Painter’s Studio, which has helped numerous people to overcome challenges in their personal and professional lives with a myriad of programs. Her dedication to helping children is amazing as seen by her many special programs to assixt children’s organizations such as S.O.S. Children’s Village. Evelyn has also opened up her studio for many groups to use to come together and share.
