Spiritual Awakening: Staying Awake!
In today’s world where what once was thought wrong in now right and what was once right is considered wrong it is imperative that you stay awake as you continue your spiritual journey. In staying awake it is important to realize that the only thing you truly can change is you and the way you carry yourself. In my spiritual awakening I have come to understand that there will be times when decisions are made that you have no control over. I came to this realization as I work for a large retail establishment and as a sales associate I don’t have much input on how they run things despite that I have knowledge in this arena that spans over 30 years. I know that I possess a great gift in the ability to see things that others do not however I have come to accept the fact that many people are not as awake and aware as I am and many have egos that do not allow them to receive input from those they perceive as being beneath them. In staying awake and aware and giving input to others we risk many things such as losing our job. This fear is what stops many people from staying awake. My solution is to go to work do what I am asked to do and when I am not working to use my spiritual teachings to stay awake and to be of service and value to others.
As an action taker I have been able to stay awake by letting go and letting GOD. As a result I have been able to take stock in where I have been and where I want to go thus allowing me to awaken to new heights by answering my calling and coming alive to be the change I want to see in the world. In connecting to GOD I have been able to stay awake and detach from outcome and simply let GOD work the plan he has for me. As those of you reading this blog I have faced many setbacks. I have been asked how I continue to keep going and my answer is that I believe that faith in GOD gives meaning and purpose to human life. In holding to this belief I have been able to gain more clarity as to what my purpose is on this earth. In staying awake and connected to GOD you begin to fully embrace the idea that if GOD brought you to it GOD will bring you through it thus allowing you to grow personally, professionally, and spiritually.
In staying awake and not being afraid of falling short you will find that you create a flow that allows you to successfully complete what ever you started.In staying awake and being focused and grounded you will find that you create more happiness and thus experience the greatness that you were meant to achieve.
In staying alive it is important to take time to reflect so that you can continue to move forward in the positive direction of your dreams. Many times we find ourselves getting discouraged as we didn’t get the response we wanted from our projects or from our promotions and we focus on what we didn’t do instead of what we did do. It is important to focus on what was accomplished and build on the accomplishments instead of looking at what wasn’t achieved. In staying awake it is important to remember that what we focus on expands thus it is paramount to our growth that we focus on the things we are achieving. I was recently at a store rally where I work and all the sales manager kept stating we didn’t make plan or we didn’t make credit and this brought morale of the employees down. As I listened I thought what if they would have said we had good sales yesterday and we signed up people for credit keep up the good work and we will make plan. In staying awake we must comprehend that it is not what we say but how we say it. I am very involved with The American Cancer Society Relay For Life and I recently changed the way I state where I am in my fundraising. Instead of saying I am short of my goal I say I am closing in on my goal.. The importance of staying awake is to stay on your path by changing the way we say and do things. If you stay positive you will stay awake and you will create the life you desire. Now is your time to stay awake!!! Namaste!!!
