Spiritual Awakening: Moment By Moment!!!
As I watched Villanova capture another NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship I started to think back to their first one when they were the underdogs against a very powerful Georgetown Team and how sports is a great metaphor for life as you have to go moment by moment. Each year I watch One Shining Moment and I think of all the shots made and all the shots missed and how in one moment their is joy on one sideline and on the other sideline the pain of losing and how the people involved in these moments will have their lives changed forever.
Jay Wright understands all too well about living life moment by moment and being an action taker. In 2001 Wright left Hofstra University as Basketball
Coach to go to Villanova and as they say the rest is history. Jay took his can do positive attitude to Villanova and began to build a championship caliber team which resulted in Villanova winning a National Men’s Basketball Championship for the second time in 3 years. As I watched Jay Wright cut down the nets I started to think what moments am I creating that will forever be etched in my mind to draw strength from when things get challenging? I then began to think about how every moment that we have can shape and determine the legacy that we will leave behind. One key question to ponder as we awaken spiritually is what will we be remembered for and how will our legacy be seen by others? In awakening spiritually we need to use all the minutes that we are given to be of service and value to others so as to create a legacy of hope and healing.
How do you move from moment to moment? How are you measuring your years? Do you look at your years as separate entities or as carefully connected moments that set in motion the life that GOD has created for you? In each moment we have choices and those choices will determine how high we soar. Ask yourself Am I doing things according to GOD’S Plan or am I trying to do everything on my own? If you find yourself disconnected from GOD in any moment take a second or two to breath and get reconnected for the plans GOD has for you are far greater than any plans you have for yourself. In my spiritual journey I have come to realize that when you are following the messages from GOD you experience more peace, love, joy, and prosperity into your life. It is when you awaken spiritually and understand that if GOD brought you to it GOD will bring your through it that you will find that your life will improve personally, professionally, and spiritually. You may be given many challenges but remember GOD never gives you what GOD knows you can’t handle. In your moments of trial and tribulation you should turn to GOD, The Ascended Masters, and Jesus for the answers and then go moment by moment as you move forward in your quest for spiritual enlightenment.
In showing love as we go moment by moment we can create the life that we desire by being in tune with our mind, body, and soul. Sometime it is simply a matter of taking a chance on someone and realizing that they add a tremendous value to our life as they allow us to give and receive love. How many times have you found yourself not taking a chance because you were afraid of things going wrong? It is time to stop forgetting everything and running and to face everything and rise. Sometimes the biggest risk we take reaps the biggest rewards. I remember the day I took a chance and asked a very special lady, Pam Hamrick, who has since been called home to GOD to dance. There was a special connection in that moment and that special connection lasted for awhile. I recall the many happy times we had together. The day I learned she took her own life was a tough day. There are many days when I walk in nature and I find myself thinking wow Pam would have loved this moment. I have learned to cherish all the moments for they can be fleeting. Make the moments last and capture those moments so that you have fuel to move forward and grow personally, professionally, and spiritually.
Make your moments last. Do not rush through life as life is short and meant to be cherished. Take a moment to create last memories filled with positivism that will live on after your are gone.
