Spiritual Awakening: The Spiritual Party: A Case Study!!!

It was a long 6 KM walk to The San Fernando Botanical Gardens and along the way I was having a spiritual party for myself interacting with some of the locals and learning more and more about The Philippines lifestyle as I was serving as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer teaching English, Math, and Livelihood Skills to youth offenders at a Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth. When I reached the top of the mountain where the botanical garden was I was thirsty and that is when I held a spiritual party with much water, pancit, lumpia, and other Filipino delicacies. As I began to watch in amazement the birds and all the wild life I realized that my decision to serve as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer was the right one. IT was on the journey back to my host family’s home that I realized that each day is a day to grow mentally, physically, and emotionally. Each day from that day forward it became a goal of mine to stay connected to spirit and to be be guided by GOD and be as righteous as possible in all I do.
