Spiritual Awakening: Time To Take Action!!!
In the spiritual awakening process it is important to understand that our time is limited and that we must take action to use it wisely. If we see an injustice it is our responsibility to do something to change it. If we are truly going to turn dreams into reality we must become action takers and go where we are divinely guided to go. We all have a voice and we must use our collective voices to effectively change the way we are heading. If we want to effectively change things then we must see the wrongs in ourselves and make a cognizant effort to change them so we can shine our light and change others. It is when we come alive and get on the same wavelength that our vibrations resonate with each other creating a better community for all.
In the last week we have been bombarded by the transgressions of several high profiled NFL Players, Ray Rice, Adrian Petterson, McDonald, and Hardy. In a truly spiritually enlightened world these men would have understood that they are divine children of GOD and would have shared their divinity with others and not struck innocent women and children. The truth of the matter is that they allowed their human side to get in the way of their spiritual side. Since these players are in a high profile position the general public finds out about these situations and then is divided on what should be done. I personally believe that we can forgive them for their transgressions but at the same time they can be punished by not allowing them to be associated with The NFL ever again and to seek some guidance so that they never commit these horrible acts again. Today The Minnesota Vikings reinstated Petterson and I thought only in America can you abuse your child be charged with a crime and still get paid millions of dollars to play a game. These instances have found me having to go deep inside myself and ask the question where has our moral and spiritual compass gone? When has it become okay to hurt others and no have consequences. Our morals have become very skewed because of where we put our priorities. Now is the time to take action and bring the problems and challenges to light and find a solution through spiritual awakening.
A solution is to place this prayer in every public place that we can and begin to shine our light for others to see. It is time to take action and change the course that our country is heading in. We need to begin to get right with GOD and begin to treat each other with dignity and respect. If we have issues with some one we can politely let them know and hopefully they will respond in a polite manner. If they do not respond in a polite manner than the best action you can take is to walk away.
When I served as A U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in The Philippines from July 2002- February 2003 I taught English and Math to At Risk-Youth at A Regional Rehabilitation Center For Youth.The Ten Commandments were prominently displayed at the center and in many public places reminding us to follow GOD and obey his laws. There were issues like we have here in America but they were being addressed and improvements were being made. I used many of my spiritual teachings to turn the negative behaviors into more positive behaviors. The key was to remember that we are all divine children of GOD and GOD doesn’t make any junk. I made the observation that people aren’t inherently bad they tend to do bad things. It was through this observation that I was able to peel back the onion and begin to work on repairing the children that were entrusted to my care. It was not my goal to fix all of them but to help those who wanted to change. As the six months went by I saw the children being more positive as I began to understand what drove them to end up at The Regional Rehabilitation Center For Youth. It was when I began to change my attitude that the children’s attitudes changed.
It s time to take action and build strong children with a strong spiritual foundation so that we stop the occurrences of violence in our society. It is time to get back to our spiritual base and truly shine our light for others to see. The problem of violence will not go away overnight. It will take many loving and caring people to come together and make a change.
The first step to change starts with you. So look in the mirror and see what changes you can make and then go be the change you want to see in this world. When we change the way we look at things the things we look at change. Instead of finding fault find the reason and then give the people who are doing evil help to change their ways. The reality is some may not be ready to change so find and help the one who are ready. Stop making excuses and enabling bad behavior give them a reason to change.
