Spiritual Awakening: Changing Through a Bottle of Water
As I sat in my local Starbucks I started to think what are people doing to make a difference. I then saw the bottle of Ethos Water and read that for every bottle bought Starbucks will donate 5 cents to support humanitarian programs in coffee growing communities, providding clean, safe, water to those in need. As a Returned U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer I was very moved to make a purchase of this bottle of water. As I researched more about Ethos I found out that they are changing the world one botlle of water at a time. I bought the 23.7 OZ Bottle for $1.95 and felt good that I was helping a good cause. I started tot hink how wonderful it would be if everyone who patronized Starbucks would purchase a bottle of The Ethos Water. This started me thinking hoiw many small actions can we take to change lives. It starts with a small purchase of a bottle of water and then it moves forward from there. When we are conscious of our actions and we make an effort to have those actions positively impact others that is when we truly awaken and realize the gifts that we have been given. Think about it this week you can spend $2 on a bottle of water stay hydrated and help others across the globe.
Spiritual Awakening: Taking Action
It is when we decide to take action that an awakening occurs. For many that awakening and enlightment will take place on 3/24/12 when they take action to attend The Spiritual Entrepreneurs Visonary Awards at Unity Church in Pompano Beach from 9 AM – 4 PM by purchasinga ticket for $75 while here on this blog. Part of the ticket sales will be donated to The Reaching Out To Cancer Kids Program. Speakers include Dr. Mia Merritt, Sarah Spiritual, Rev. Dr. Dee Adio- Moses, Ernest Chu, and Ken Esrig. These 5 speakers have taken action and continue to serve the community by delivering a positive message at events such as The Spiritual Entrepreneurs Visionary Awards. It is when you take action that you begin to enhance your life and the lives of others.
For me taking action meant getting involved in the community at a young age to help raise funds For The Muscular Dystrophy Association. My backyard carnival was so successful that it landed me on The Skipper Chuck Show and gave me a platform to encourage others to follow my lead. Since that 1st event I have taken action to help many charitable causes and by taking action I have made key contacts that have asssited me in following my passion to help other people excel and to prove that service to humanity is the best work of life.
There are many small actions you can take to make a difference such as:
Collecting Pull Tabs for Ronald McDonald House
Getting involved in Your Local Relay For Life
Hosting Spiritual Events like Book Club, Healing Classes, Mastermind Sessions
