Spiritual Awakening: Cheerfully Given!!!
As I was collecting donations for The American Cancer Society Relay For Life on July 4, 2014 at The City of Sunrise Fireworks I stated GOD loves a cheerful giver and one of the attendees put $20 into the canister and said cheerfully given. I took a deep breath and realized I had just met someone who was spiritually awake and who got the concept that when you give you get. Others followed suit and said the same thing cheerfully given. This led me to think how does the concept of being a cheerful giver relate to the spiritual awakening process.
One of the first facets one adopts as part of the spiritual awakening process is that of being kind.In being kind and giving you open up channels to receive. When you take action to become a giver you put in motions the wheels of the universe to turn and prosper you. Look at how many times you were cheerful in your giving and the positive impact it had on your personal and professional life. Giving can be a great anthem to adopt. In giving it is not always about a monetary donation it can be giving services, being a listening ear, giving of time, or simply giving direction. In awakening to the concept of giving you will reap many rewards.
The key idea is to be a cheerful giver and when the opportunity is presented to give one should be compelled to do so. Sometimes it is a small gesture such as buying a bottle of water and a bagel for someone who appears to be hungry. Sometimes it is as simple as grabbing your spare change an placing it in a collection canister. Sometimes it is as simple as hanging a FREE HUGS Sign. The opportunities to become a cheerful giver are all around us. In giving we come alive and watch others come alive as we change our attitude and bring the proper energy to the idea of giving we create a positive shift that not only helps us but also helps others. When we cheerfully give without expectation of return we are able to positively affect our community and thus enhance our personal and professional lives. When we detach from the expectation of return and become a cheerful giver we are rewarded.
As you continue to be a cheerful giver take note of your vibrational change and how your state of mind changes. When you commit to being of service and value to others you will see that many opportunities start to be presented to you to prosper you. I remember emceeing The American Cancer Society Relay For Life and being very happy to do so and a gentleman who was doing another event later in the year asked me how much I would charge to do their event. I said $300 he said you are hired. I did that event and I donated a free hour consultation to their chance drawing ( a $100 value). The person that won took the consultation and then agreed to do a few more sessions at $100 each. I share this to show that I have experienced a return by being a cheerful giver.
I encourage you to be a cheerful giver and to share your giving experiences here in the comments section. Sometimes it can be as easy as just walking up to someone with collection canister and putting your change in the canister or just paying for the next person in line coffee. It is when we give cheerfully and shine our light that we receive. Remember GOD wants to prosper you and one way he rewards you is when he sees you giving cheerfully.
