Spiritual Awakening:Spiritual Lessons From Sports!
Lessons Learned From Vince Lombardi
One of my favorite coaches( though I never saw him coach) is Vince Lombardi. Vince once taught a very important lesson that anyone who has had a spiritual awakening should know and that is to do everything with enthusiasm. Enthusiasm and passion are ingredients that lead to success. When you are fired up about something it shows and comes across and many people respect that as it shows that you are being authentic. Vince’s Green Bay Packers were taught to be winners on and off the field. His players had a spiritual connection as they knew they were all interconnected and together they could accomplish more. Their spiritual awakening came in the form of winning and the knowledge that it took stepping into their power and using their talents for good that would bring them together. Vince was an action taker who spoke his truth and wasn’t afraid of what others thought. His belief that winning wasn’t everything that it was the only thing taught people that regardless of what you do you should do it great with a winning attitude. Vince’s message of what it takes to be #1 has been used to help many people make a spiritual connection and led to many spiritual awakenings.
Spiritual Awakening: Other Spiritual Lessons From Sports!!!
In February 1980 a group of young upstart American Hockey Players under the direction of Coach Herb Brooks taught a nation what can happen when you are spiritually connected and committed to being your best. A week prior to The Olympic games they had faced Russians on (USSR) and were defeated handily. They were not expected to make it to the medal round but they did and they faced The Russians and Mike Eruzione shined bright as he scored what would be the winning goal. This victory propelled Team USA into the Gold Medal game, where they face Finland and defeated Finland. 33 years later this is referred to as The Miracle on Ice. herb Brooks was called home to GOD on August 11, 2003. He taught us what can happen if we believe.
Spiritual Awakening: Athletes Express Their Faith
Sandy Koufax was an amazing pitcher who also was committed to honoring his heritage. He is best known for refusing to pitch on Yom Kippur ( The Day Of Atonement). He put his entire career on the line to stand up for his beliefs. As a result he earned much respect from other players. Today many players are sharing their spiritual lessons because of Sandy Koufax.

Spiritual Awakening: The Spiritual Experience In Sports
After each game the Miami Fury and the opposing team gather in a prayer circle to acknowledge that they
are all interconnected and that they respect each other on and off the field. This sign of spirituality teaches us that though we may come from different backgrounds that we are all one.
As we take the lessons learned from sports let us continue to recognize that we are all divine beings of GOD. Until Next Time Stay Positive!!!
