Spiritual Awakening: Let’s Get Juicy And Scrub Our Souls!!!!

SPRING. IT’S TIME FOR A SOUL-SCRUB.
     I’m needing a soul-scrub.  Maybe it’s spring in the air; maybe it’s just that I’ve let too much psychic debris accumulate in 2013; maybe it’s emotional triggers stirred up by media coverage of tragic events.  But I’m definitely wanting to release some of the build-up in my life right now.  I’ve started pulling clothes out of my closet to give away . . . I’ve started unsubscribing to email lists . . . I’m purging my kitchen of foods that don’t nourish.
It feels good, but it’s not enough.  I need a top-to-bottom, emotional rub-down.  In case you’re resonating with any of this, I invite you to join me in a 21-day spring-cleaning event on all levels.  I’m asking my wisest guru friends for advice.  I’m culling from my own workshop practices.  And I’m spending time in meditation every day, inviting Universe to guide me in a grand scale Let-Go.
Here’s how it will work:  For three weeks, starting today with this newsletter, I’ll give you the best practices I can dig up for releasing all that doesn’t serve — physically, psychically, emotionally.  I’ll send you two more installments over the next two weeks.
Let’s start by deciding to do it.  Set the intention with me right now that you’ll be lighter, freer, far more clear and vibrant — just 21 days from now.  Know that it’s entirely possible, with just a bit of effort and commitment.  You with me?  Let’s go.
Week One:
 
Our physical environment is always a mirror for our internal landscape, so start by looking around your living space — home, office, wherever you spend the most time.  How do you feel when you walk into your home, or your bedroom, or your workspace?  Do you sigh?  Do you groan inwardly as you scan all the piles that represent unfinished projects that once felt exciting to you but have since lost their appeal?  (Or am I the only one experiencing that?  LOL)
Do you feel guilty when you don’t finish what you start?  Take a deep breath right now and intentionally release that guilt.  Your one precious life is far too important to spend a single second of it beating yourself up.  Your time is limited — only you know what lights you up and makes your soul sing.  You are allowed to change your mind.  You are allowed to make decisions that honor your ever-evolving path and your highest joy.
Reminders of unfinished business tug at your energy and deplete you whenever you see them.  Set aside a few hours this week to clear your living space and/or work space of anything that does not bring you joy when you look at it.  Can you imagine how liberating that would feel?  That means banishing thoughts like, “I might want this one day.”  If today isn’t the day, you need to assume you will not want it.
Take a moment to imagine yourself loading up your car and driving to the nearest charity.  Doesn’t it feel awesome?  Take out your calendar right now and find the hours.  Block off those hours with the giant word: PURGE.  Then keep that appointment with yourself!  Honor it the same way you’d honor an appointment with your most important client.  You deserve this!  What kind of message does it send the Universe, when you wouldn’t dream of breaking your appointments with others, but routinely break the appointments you make with yourself?
While you have your calendar out, I want you to find a tiny, 15-minute period that you can give yourself every day to begin your internal cleansing as well.  Just look realistically at your days and see where you could find a regular 15-minute window to commit to.  You could always get up 15 minutes earlier if that’s the only way to fit it in.
I’ve selected a really powerful cleansing meditation for you to use during these 15-minute gifts to yourself.  It’s a piece of cake.  I’ll talk you through it.  You’ll feel the difference after just one session — I promise.  And by next week, you’ll feel a substantial shift toward a lighter, freer you.
