Spiritual Awakening: Don’t Conform, Transform!

Most of our life since we came out of the womb we have been told we must fit in and conform when in reality it is the non-conformists who tend to find the most success. When we go deep inside and find our purpose and see what problem we were put on the earth to solve we are able to find our way and our why that we are able to take action and find our definition of success. In American Society we are told it is about wealth and materialistic things when in reality it is about being a lifter and helping others and showing others that service to humanity is the best work of life. Yes money is needed to take care of basic needs like food, shelter, and clothing and yes money will allow you to touch more lives but money should not be your only motivations. Living for the fancy house, the fancy cars, and the fancy clothes only puts restraints on reaching the level of self actualization. It may be great to have all the materialistic things but these materialistic things can also stifle our ability to grow personally, professionally, and spiritually. It is when you arrive at a level where you have wealth that you begin to spread it around to help other people excel. It is when you lift others that you are lifted. I encourage those reading this to make a commitment to transform instead of conforming. Be the person who stands out and shines their light bright for the world to see. Some may look at you a bit strangely but that doesn’t matter because when it is all said and done and that judgement day comes all that will matter is how you served and honored GOD.

We are taught from day one that we have to look fro the future when in reality we must detach from the expectation of the future and live for the moment. We must put the past behind us and stop projecting and simply live in the moment and let GOD’S master plan direct us. It is time to stop conforming and to start transforming. It is time to live our lives on purpose and turn our dreams into reality. It is good to have a plan of action however you must be willing to tweak this plan accordingly so that you can achieve what you perceive as success. I have come to understand that you must be motivated by your inner divinity and allow that inner divinity to guide you along your spiritual path so that you can grow personally, professionally, and spiritually.

It is when we lead with our hearts and stop conforming that we truly to find our joy that then allows us to create peace, love, and prosperity. Jim Carey followed his heart despite being told by several people that he wasn’t going to succeed and he pushed forward and has become a role model for the dreamers of this world. Remember our self talk has power and it is up to us to follow our hearts so as to create the life you want. It is important to speak life and not allow the naysayers or the haters to permeate any of your thoughts. Many times our own family members will scoff at our ideas and tell us we must conform when they should be helping us to reach our dreams and becoming lifters. I am reminded of the scene in the movie Accepted where Bartleby asks the question to the board about what they really wanted to be when they were younger and the chairman went up to him and said I wanted to be a trumpet player. This made me realize that instead of making people conform we should allow them to transform.

It is when you discover your why and stop conforming that you will not only transform your life but you will transform the world. It is when we commit to transforming that we make a positive impact on our lives and the lives of others. What is stopping you from making your transformation?
