I look around and I see many heroes and angels that walk amongst us.They may not take the form that we visualize, however they are amongst us and working in a positive way for us. It is when we can see that everyone has sometype of angelic quality that we can relate better to everyone we meet and thus create positive interactions and shift to positive energy. I have seen the angels in actions recently as they provided me with the opportunity to be a contributor to the book Sources of Wisdom Book 2, when I said yes without knowing where I would find the $115 and then I mentioned oit to someone and they wrote a check for $115 saying I believe in you. I am so grateful for this person and the angels that spoke through her. I then began to realize that there are those watching over us and pointing us in the proper direction. I began to read the facebook posts by Doreen Virtue, Mariane Williamson, Guy Finley,Depak Chopra, Wayne Dyer, Michael Bernard Beckwith, and many others and I began to see the messages that were being delivered and each one seemed to be directed or related to me.
This post was inspired by Up With People as I just saw a trailer for the documentary Smile Until It Hurts, which chronicled the Up With people group or as many have described them a movement. The are many people who support what Up With People stands for while others are still questioning their motives. I find what Up With People does to be spiritually moving in shifting the consciousness of those who attend theor shows and understand the value of a smile, a kind word, and respect. Imagine if we all took the stance that I will not judge you and I will get to know you as I continue on my spiritual path. It is when we begin to implement the ideas of peace, love, and happiness that we begin to see both personal and spiritual growth. I had the privilige to work with the cast when they came to Coral Springs, FL. in the late 90’s and I was moved by those I worked with as they were from different cultures had varyibg beliefs but were able to take action to put their differences aside and realize that together working in harmony for a higher good that a positive impact could be and was made that week. They did many community service projects and helped to mark Martin Luthe King Jr. Day with a special performance at The Citi Centre(now known as The Coral Sprongs Center For The Arts). Their message was one of hope and you could see the dedication of the performaners and the staff to deliver a message but also to allow that message being spoken through actions.

There is something very spiritual for me about being in a press box and being the public address announcer for a football game. It is like the universe telling me this is your calling to bring joy to others through the use of your God given gift of an announcer voice. From the moment I walk into a stadium until the time I leave I feel a sense of joy come over my body and a feeling of gratitude in my mind, and my soul is nourished with the knowledge that my efforts are making others happy. As I left the field today (8/25/12) as the Lauderhill Broncos Games were cancelled due to tropical storm Issac I looked to the heavens and asked God for guidance and he guided me right to A Starbucks and sent the message to write this blog. As I began to write the blog all that I needed started to appear in front of me through searches and I realized that the cancellation of The Lauderhill Broncos games was a blessing as God had other plans for me today.
Riley Nelson may not be a be a big name star but to those he served in Barcelona on a mission trip he is a hero. Riley Nelson is now a senior at BYU and I know I will be following him this season.
I choose BYU because of their honor code and the fact that many of their players do a mission trip of 2 years. I applaud any player that makes the commitment that BYU asks them to make as they are spreading their beliefs and helping others to come to a spiritual path by seeking salvation in the lord. BYU’s mission statement is “To assist individuals in their quest for perfection and eternal life. That assistance should provide a period of intensive learning in a stimulating setting where a commitment to excellence is expected and the full realization of human potential is pursued.” While it is strongly encouraged that nineteen year-old Mormon men and 21 year old women serve a mission, it is not mandatory.
Spiritual Awakening: Expand Through Community Service
As I embarked on a new project, Forest of Angels, which is a program where businesses and organizations sponsor and decorate Christmas Trees and select a charity to represent and compete for the title of Best Decorated Tree I began to think how great it is to expand personally and professionally through community service. When you visit www.forestofangels.com you will see the program and the charities that are involved. The actual event will take place at The Westfield Broward Mall in Plantation, FL from November 17 – December 24.
To Expand Your Level Of Service Visit www.forestofangels.com
As I began to make calls to find sponsors for the trees I felt an energy expand and come over me that created a joy that then enabled me to continue my expansion. As I presented the project and began to state that the tree sponsorships are $1,250.00 I began to get more comfortable. I then realized that the more you give the more you get. It is when you take action and become awake and aware that you begin to expand and grow.
In working with charitable causes I have found that making the mind, body, soul connection becomes easier as you truly feel the passion for what you are doing and you begin to realize that what the mind can conceive and the hert can believe you can achieve. As you begin to see the joy you are bringing to the world by being involved in your community you begin to open up channels to receive and your life seems to be flowing better. I ask what are you passionate about and how can you bring that passion to a community service project.
Spiritual Awakening: What Are You Applauding and Celebrating?
Kool and The Gang encourages us to celebrate.
I often comment on posts that I applaud and celebrate you and it makes me feel good and helps me to continue to stay centered and grounded. When I see people doing great things to help other I get motivated to continue to shine my light and celebrate the good things in my life. As I celebrate and applaud the good it opens up a realm of possibility that I may not have been aware of.
I am celebrating the opportunity to work with clients who should be applauded for their work as they impact the community that they serve. I applaud www.addictsmom.com, www.feelthehugs.com, and www.forestofangels.com for all they do to make a positive in the lives of others. I celebrate the chance to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays through my involvement with The American Cancer Society Relay for Life of West Boca Raton, schedule d for February 23-24, 2013. I celebrate the opportunity to share my knowledge with others about marketing and media relations. I celebrate action takers who are making positive choices to improve their life and the lives of others. I invite you to share what you are applauding and celebrating?
I decided to use Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs to illustrate that you deserve great things and that you are worth it. How many times have you offered a great service for what you believe to be a reasonable price and been asked why should I pay that? I always answer because I am worth it. Being a spiritual entrepreneur does not mean giving your talents away it means being of service and value and getting a reasonable exchange for your services and products. When you begin to tell yourself I am worth it you will begin to get paid what you value yourself at. I have learned in the last 2 years that if you do not put a high value on yourself and your talents noone else will. This was illustrated a few weeks ago when I was approached to do a voice over for a video and offered to do it for $100 and was told that they would find someone on fiverr, to which I replied go ahead, well guess what the video isn’t done and they are still searching for that inexpensive voice, when they could have had one of the best. The lesson I learned is stick to your guns as word will get out that you value yourself and you are worth it.
Babe Ruth was someone who understood his value as illustrated by hisanswer when asked why he shoud be making more money than the president? His answer because I had a better year than he did. Babe Ruth knew he was worth it.
When you think of the word Community what does it mean? Think of that for a second. Got it? Hold that thought until the end. In 2012 we are evolving the meaning of Community with social media. Let’s break it down, Community can be defined as a group of people living or interacting in the same space, and a society that helps each other. In the past, your interaction with your community ended when you were no longer physically in the same place. Now, thanks to the glories of the interwebs, we bring our community home and further expand our network beyond the physical. Indeed, most people find it odd for someone not to have a Facebook account. A normal person functioning in society is believed to be someone that is engaged in his/her community. Facebook is now part of life and if you’re not on it then you’re considered to be isolating yourself from your community. In social media we are interacting and helping each other, whether it is to make a professional connection, find old friends or make new ones, we are expanding our life experience day-in and day-out. The internet is a known space where interactions happen. Think about the last time you were considering who you should donate to and you saw something come up on a social media platform posted by a friend. At that moment you experienced a moment of clarity, “OMG, I have to help my friend!” Yes– O-M-G. Not only have we expanded our communities but we have evolved our language as well. ROFL, TTYL and LMAO had no meaning 15 years ago and now you know exactly what they mean and people even use them in verbal communication. What does community mean to me? It means being connected and in 2012, social media is part of how we make that connection. Now you can let go of that thought you had in the beginning. Share in the comments! What does Community mean to you?

I was having a conversation with Debbie Ford on her radio show on Wednesday when she mentioned that there is a time to be phony like when she is at a book signing and feeling tired and has to put on the smile and sign more books and take pictures. She also mentioned about going to someone who may be sick and telling them they look okay. I felt like yelling Debbie Wake Up and Be Who You Are. Many times as we are on our path we may find ourself being “PHONY” which at times does serve us, however I find it is best when you are authentic and truthful. If you are truly going to be awakened you have to be true to yourself and others. In many cases you see a need to act a certain way to placate the situation. If you do not derive pleasure from the experience of signing books and can not be enthusastic without having to fake it then you need to change what you are doing. I know that it can be draining to take pictures, sign books, and go to many dinners, however that is what you chose. I ask did you chose this to make money or did you chose this because you truly believe in what you are preaching.
Spiritual Awakening: What Is At The End of Your Rainbow?
Forget food trends eat the rainbow. This post was inspired by Becca Tebon, The F.I.T. Preneurs, who was on Get Motivated Withe Jonathan JDOGG Lederman, which is heard on Monday from 7-8 PM EDT at www.blogtalkradio.com/hrafnstongradio, and made the statement about to be healthy you want to eat the rainbow. I then began to comtemplate what is at the end of the rainbow and I determined it was not just a pot of gold but a pot also filled with better health and wellness. Being in good health and having good physical and mental wellness are an integral part in expanding the mind, body, and soul connection. The following is a guide to help you eat the rainbow.
Eating healthier and making better choices will lead to your pot of gold as studies have shown that healthier people tend to make more money than unhealthy people.
I have often said it is when we look at the world with love and put our love glasses on that great things happen. What are you doing to put your love glasses on? I have this ritual in the morning where I look in the mirror and I say I love me and today I will show love to others. Sometimes it is difficult as people come into my life through the day that can be challenging, it is at those times when I take a deep breath and do my best to be loving.
Beckah Shae delivers a message to remind us to put our love glasses on.
Spiritual Awakening: Spreading Love
I listen to Janet Lee Kraft’s Love is The Highest Way and I am reminded that we should be loving and caring in all that we do. As you shift to love many great things begin to unwind and you begin to see things in a different light. The light of love begins to open more doors and create a better life. There are many ways to spread love.
1: Smile and give a positive thought to someone –
2: Breathe in and remind yourself that you are love and you deserve love
