Spiritual Awakening: Finding The Positive!!!<\/h1>\n

\u00a0As I sat on the bench in prayer at the cemetery today paying respects to my mom who passed a year ago the message for this blog entry came to me in the words Finding The Positive.\u00a0Through challenging times my mom would find ways to make me and my brother feel better about the situations we were facing.\u00a0As I sat on the bench all the positive memories started to come back. There was a sense of joy and sadness at the same time. I looked to the heavens and thanked god for all the time he gave me to have with my mom. I thanked my mom for all the great times she gave me over the year. I then wen to my car and retrieved the stone I brought with me to symbolize that I was at the cemetery, I cleansed it in the fountain and then found a place to \u00a0\u00a0place the stone and said a prayer. As I started the car I felt the presence of my mom telling me to stay positive.<\/p>\n

<\/a>\u00a0As I left the cemetery I found it quite fitting that I would be driving in a thunder and lightning storm as my mom disliked driving in these storms. It was like a message saying I am with you. Instead of complaining I put on the windshield wipers, drove slow and thanked GOD for nurturing the earth and cooling things off. As I arrived at Starbucks the rain stopped. Shortly after while I was inside the heavens opened then a butterfly flew by my window. I believe that was my mom checking in and saying everything is all right.<\/p>\n

\u00a0It has not always been easy to find the positive however since my own spiritual awakening I have been able to let go of the negative much easier. Such was the case yesterday as I kicked off my fundraising campaign for The 2014 American Cancer Society Relay For Life of West Boca Raton. While I was collecting at The City of Sunrise Fireworks Event A gentleman was very rude and aggressive toward me instead of getting mad and raising my voice I told him I would pray for him. At that my moment I went down on one knee and prayed that GOD would heal him of any issues that were causing him to be mean and rude. I then went about my collecting. By taking action and shining my light I was able to stay positive. Upon returning home I thanked GOD for those people who donated. I have now adopted an attitude of gratitude as an anthem and now focus on finding the positive in all that happens for me.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0By finding the positive in events even when it is the most difficult of circumstances such as the loss of a loved one you can continue to follow your passion with a purpose. My mom’s passing has fueled a fire deep inside of me to shine my light\u00a0 and create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.
