Spiritual Awakening:Light It Up!!!

In a world that seems so dark at times with the news media covering so many negative occurances it is time to light up the world and to be come a beacon of hope for others to see. I have seen so many good deeds being performed as people start to awaken spiritually and realize that being of service and value is a priority. I have often stated the bible vers that GOD loves a cheerful giver. Giving and being a shining light for others to see is not always about donating money many times it can be about donating items that you have that you no longer use or giving of your time to volunteer at activities. There are many ways for you to shime your light and illuminate the world. Many tines it can be as simple as just taking time to listen to someone and help them in their time of need by being an encouraging listener. In taking action to become a bright light for others to follow you will find that you bengin to attract more peace, love, joy, and prosperity into your life. In helping others you will find that you grow personally, professionally, and spiritually and as a result your mental and  pysichal well being will improve. I have found that when I seek to be a light and ask GOD, Jessus, The Ascended Masters, and The Angels for guidance that I am able to alleviate the darkness that was creating blockages that were stopping me from walking in my truth and becoming a better version of myself.  Through the spiritual awakening process you will be able to find your purpose and answer your calling by making positive changes that lead to you becoming a light to lead the way for others. In becoming a light and coming out of the dark you will see that you come alive and detach from outcomes by simply knowing you are doing the best you can with the tools you have at this time just as GOD had planned.

As a spiritual being you will face challenges for it is through overcoming challenges that you can face everything and rise so that you become a light that passes the torch to others so they too can illuminate the world. Sometimes it is in our darkest hour that we have the greatest breakthrough as we seek to go into the light and shine so bright that others are empowered and inspired by us. Instead of buying into the doom and gloom that is being spouted in the media step into your light and find ways that you can positively impact your life and the lives of others. in many cases it can bea  simple act of giving books to friends of the library so that you gibve a gift of reading to others. Instead of getting into political debates think of ways you can think globally and act locally soi that everyome benefits. Walk in the ligh and good things will happen.

When you walk in the light you will realize that all things are possible as GOD will provide the resources needed for you to step into your power and achieve greatness. Instead of being consumed by negativity take steps to walk in the light and create more harmony, bliss, and abundance in your life. Remember that you are a divine child of GOD and GOD wants you to propser so you can propser others. Remeber that when you help to light a candle your light dioesn’t dim it is strengthened because now there are two candles light the way for others to see a path toward personal and spiritual development.  It is when you believ that you are a light that you can make a mind, body, soul, connection.

It is through believing in yourself and being guided by GOD that you will light up the world and make changes by spreading positivism one person at a time. Look for ways to brighten some one’s day and make a not of the feeling you had and try to duplicate your actions so that you can lift others for in lifting others you will be rewarded.

Spiritual Awakening: Photographs And Memories!

As I was going through photographs I began to reflect and realized that a spiritual awakening can be evoked simply by the memories that a photograph represents. Here I am am in The Philippines as A U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer. This photo brings back memories of joy of knowing that I was being of service and value to others. At first I was a bit timid but I took a deep breath and knew I would be okay as the owner of the Caribou was very close. Yes those are rice fields that you see in the background and yes I did help to harvest the rice. The process of harvesting the rice taught me patience and brought me a sense of accomplishment as I would help to bag the rice and sell it at the dry market. It was at the dry market that I realized just how important it is to be centered, focused, and grounded.

Here I am receiving The Munford Johnson Community Service Award from The SAKE Committee of The City Of Lauderhill. In my acceptance speech I spoke about holding fast to your dreams. I remember afterwards one of the commissioners coming up to me and telling me how I was a good orator. This award was earned because I took action and committed to helping other people excel by showing that passion + action = success. Success is measured in many ways some measure it in materialistic accomplishments others measure it in lives touched. Being part of The SAKE Awards that night showed me the importance of coming from a spiritual base.

Is is when we go through old photographs that we are able to reflect and pause for a moment to be grateful for the memories that were created. As we continue along our spiritual path we will have many opportunities to create special moments in time and to relish in shining moments that will permit us to move forward in a positive direction of our goals.

      When we experience shining moments in our life they are imbedded in the cortex of our brain allowing us to pull them from our memory bank to fuel us to be the best version of ourselves that we can be. The shining moments we create will impact us and others.
       It is when we commit to manifesting moments is time that we open up the spiritual passages necessary changes in our personal, professional, and spiritual lives so as to attract peace, love, joy, and prosperity into our lives. It is when we rise above everyone’s expectations that we thrive and grow. As we look at moments in time we can use the memories to improve our world one community at a time. In the end all the trials and tribulations can be overcome simply by tapping into your inner divinity and creating special moments in time.

This young girl is a cancer survivor and I had the honor to be the announcer for STRIKEOUT CANCER Day where she through out the first pitch. This photograph serves as a reminder to continue to move forward in my quest to help those touched by cancer. It also serve to remind me to use my talents for good to create positive memories that resonate with others as I continue on my spiritual path. The memories we create will be etched upon our heart to allow us to be heart centered in all we do so that we can show others that what the mind can conceive and the heart can believe we can achieve. It is in creating positive memories that we can shift the paradigms in our life and create bliss and abundance for ourselves and others.

Here I am announcing a Miami Fury Women’s Tackle Football Game. When I look at this photo I am able to reminisce about some of the positive things I was able to do while connected with the team. I am no longer affiliated with The Miami Fury however I have some great memories and some excellent experiences that I will utilize to enhance my personal, professional, and spiritual life. When I look at this photo I understand that announcing is one of my callings and that I right where GOD has intended me be.

 As I listened to this song by Abba I began to realize that on a spiritual path gratitude and using your talents for good are important in tapping into your inner divinity so as to bring peace, love, joy, and prosperity into your life and into the lives of others. We all have talents inside of us and when we use these talents for good GOD rewards us. When we step out and let our talents out we shine our light bright and thus give permission to others to do the same. When we use our talents for good the entire world is illuminated.

 

The Parable of the Talents (also the Parable of the Minas and the Parable of the Pounds), is one of the parables of Jesus, which appear in two of the canonical gospels of the New Testament; a thematically variant parable appears in the non-canonical Gospel of the Hebrews. Although the basic story in each of these parables is essentially the same, the differences between the parables that appear in the Gospel of Matthew 25:14-30 and in the Gospel of Luke 19:12-27 are sufficient to indicate that the parables are not derived from the same source.[1] In Matthew, the opening words link the Parable of the Talents to the preceding Parable of the Ten Virgins, which refers to the Kingdom of Heaven.[1]

In both Matthew and Luke, a master puts his servants in charge of his goods while he is away on a trip. Upon his return, the master assesses the stewardship of his servants. He evaluates them according to how faithful each was in making wise investments of his goods to obtain a profit. It is clear that the master sought some profit from the servants’ oversight. A gain indicated faithfulness on the part of the servants. The master rewards his servants according to how each has handled his stewardship. He judges two servants as having been “faithful” and gives them a positive reward. To the single unfaithful servant who “played it safe,” a negative compensation is given.

As I work with clients I see there talent and come up with ways for them to monetize their talents. Many times I hear all the excuses why they are not using monetizing their talent and they keep throwing up roadblocks. When they do this I say let’s find a way to really integrate your talent with ways to make money so you can be of service and value to others. I hear all the time how the market is saturated or I don’t have a big name. I answer you have a talent and you will attract the people that are seeking your products or services. What roadblocks are you putting up that is stopping you from using your talents to create the life you desire?

Spiritual Awakening: Times They Are A Changing!!!

As relevant today 38 years after this song was performed in 1966 it is important to understand that through out the spiritual awakening process the times will continue to change. As the times change it is up to us to adapt and become more self aware so we can make the changes to thrive. It is when we awaken spiritually that we are able to make changes. Today for those that watch the news you are bombarded by tragic events as media manipulation has led many to become sheep and not understand that every individual is a spiritual person with a power to affect change. Many of these sheep are sheep only because they have not been awakened yet. many are sheep because of the fear that they hold and have not realized that the world becomes a better place when individuals share a common goal of being of service and value to one another. I often think what would happen if we all shut off the TV, radio,  and social media for a week and began to interact and effectively communicate with one another?  When was the last time you knocked on a neighbors door just to say hello and see if they needed anything?  The world today has so many people that are self serving that they have lost their way and we are being inundated with the sad upsetting stories for the media is being used to control us.  It is time to change  and to awaken and to become the powerful individuals that we are that when we work together for a common goal things change for the better. I hear people complain everyday about things an when asked what action they are taking to change them I hear oh I can’t do anything. I tell them yes they can they can become engaged in the community and begin to change the world one person at a time. Some people feel powerless and they do not understand that they have a  divine power inside them that when connected no one can conquer.

It is when we reach down inside of ourselves and discover our own divinity that we will affect positive change. We will question why GOD does what GOD does for that is human nature, however their is always a reason. Recently I questioned why GOD would take a 15 year old boy from his family and call him home after a hit and run accident?  I could find justifiable answers  as it was a wake up call to all of us to take better care of the kids or maybe it was done to rally a community to become stronger and start talking to one another. The rationale answers and the humanistic answers all make sense however the true answer lies with in the spiritual teachings and the messages that lie with in. The answer I received when I asked GOD was to show people to value life. Many times we buy into the media manipulation that reports on cops being killed, which is tragic but they don’t tell of the 1000’s of cops who made it home safely after their shift. If we are truly to affect change we must look at the balance that is out there in our everyday life. I remember asking GOD why he took my mom on July 5, 2o12 and I was told so she wouldn’t suffer any longer and to use you fro a purpose of being love and showing love while helping cancer patients and their families. In understanding the messages I have been able to make effective changes in the lives of those I come in contact with.

There are many great tools available to us to help change the world however if we are to change the world we must first change ourselves.  In our transformational process that is led by our spiritual awakening we will not only transform our life but we will inspire others to transform theirs.  It is stated that the journey of 1,000 miles starts with the first step so it is time to take that first step and see what changes occur along our path. Spiritual Awakening: Moment By Moment!!!

 

On August 8,2008 the world had an opportunity to experience a spiritual awakening as nations from around the world gathered to celebrate the greatness of their respective athletes as they gathered in Bejing, China for The Summer Olympics. This is awakening showed us the beauty of China while also waking up the world to human rights violations and thus reaffirmed that in our spiritual practices we will see things that we must act upon so that we can positively shift our world and help those who may be oppressed. It is up to us to take each moment and learn from the moments so that we can enhance the lives of others. When the Olympics ended we had many great memories however the fact that people are being oppressed all over the world remains today. This oppression can come from the mind set that has been driven into the psyche of most humans from day one that you were programmed to do what your parents and what your government wants and any resistance is futile.  This oppression may be self imposed as you don’t think you are good enough or every time you face a challenge you forget everything and run. Oppression can be overcome when you look at each moment and you face everything and rise. In facing everything and rising you will experience some hardships however you will win in the end.

In the movie Teen Wolf we learn a lesson that in life their comes a moment to step up and embrace our uniqueness and to use our power for good. The movie showed us that we could use the power of the wolf that lies in us and control our situation and without getting overly aggressive we can face whatever oppression we may be facing then we can conquer it and have our shining moment.

Spiritual Awakening: Shine Your Light!!!!

 As I was listening to REACH FM today on my way to The Car Dealership I heard a song about learning to shine your light. As I listened to the lyrics I thought how many people need a quick reminder to shine their light. So many tines we get caught up in our human existence that we lose sight of our purpose and that is to shine our light and walk in our truth for others to see so that they will be inspired and empowered to shine their light. As I stopped to collect donations for Relay For Life and to promote my TV Show, The Anything Bucket, which airs on www.wrpbitv.com on Tuesday at 6:30 PM I asked GOD to give me the proper energy to shine my light. He did and upon walking into the barber shop to seek donations and invite them onto my TV Show I felt a shift of energy and a confidence come over me. The gentlemen not only donated they liked my quick intro about their shop that they took out their phones and made a quick promo video. It was quite the enlightening experience as I realized that if I shine my light and am authentic I create a ripple effect of positivity that enriches the personal and professional lives of those I come in contact with.

 As I left the barber shop and finished the rounds at the shopping plaza I began to think ready or not here I come. This Britt Nicole song reminds us that ready or not it is time to take our message out to those who are waiting to hear it. Sometimes through our spiritual awakening we may not feel ready but we reach down deep inside ourselves and we unleash our message thus shining our light so bright that we attract he proper people who are meant to help us further our mission. In discovering your mission you begin to shine your light everywhere and your passion comes through and the world is a better place.

 In shining your light it is important to give praise to the person who makes it all possible. You can call this person Jesus, GOD, Source, Spirit, Allah, Yehova, Yeshua, or Higher Self, whatever you call that person remember it is that person who allows you to shine your light. In shining your light and walking your truth you will give permission to others to do the same and thus you  will be part of a global shift toward positivity. The enemy will put up roadblocks and try to discourage you. It is when you face these roadblocks and shine your light that you are able to continue to be an action taker and  create the change you want in this world.

 When you shine your light and you show others your light you begin to encounter positive experiences that will help you to grow personally, spiritually, and emotionally.  I had declared 2014 as The Year Of Transformation and one aspect to make this transformation possible is a commitment to shine your light.  The light you have inside is meant to be shared as you are here to be a lifter and an encourager. In shining your light you allow others to shine theirs and soon the whole world lights up.

When you are a lifter and an encourager you can help people to keep smiling and to keep shining. In finding opportunities to shine your light you will find that you begin to expand your spiritual horizons and your path and purpose becomes more clear  and thus you begin to easily manifest what you are seeking.

 When you encounter doubters along your path to spiritual awakening remember the best tool you can have is a BIBLE, basic instructions before leaving earth. I was out collecting donations for The Relay For Life one day with a canister in one hand and my bible in the other, I walked into a store and the man behind the counter asked me what the book was and I said it is my BIBLE, he responded you have a weapon. He then proceeded to ask everyone to put something in the canister. The BIBLE serves as the most awesome tool you can have when your desire is to shine your light and walk in your truth.

As you answer your calling & come alive by shining your light remember that the key to awakening is remembering you are a divine child of GOD with a purpose to enhance the quality of people’s lives while you are hear on earth. It is your duty to follow your dreams & to help others to excel. In the end all that will matter will be the lives that were positively touched because you had the courage to shine your light. As you stay positive, remember that the only one you have to answer to is GOD. POSITIVELY SHINE!!!!!

Spiritual Awakening: Savoring A Moment In Time!!!!

 Every moment where we take action is a magic moment. It is in the savoring of the moment  that we are able to continue on the path of spiritual enlightenment.  It is when we awaken spirituality and embrace our divinity and realize that things are happening for us and it is our vibrational attitude that creates these things.  It is in awakening that we become more aware of our purpose and calling and take the steps necessary to succeed in all of our endeavors.

Every year one NCAA Basketball Team is crowned Champion. The anthem for the tournament is One Shining Moment. In 2013 there were many moments that stood out. This brought up the thoughts that win or lose if you give it your all you can create a moment to savor and draw strength from that will propel you forward along your spiritual path. In savoring all the moments good and bad we learn lessons that will strengthen our spirituality as we learn who we are and what we are here for.  As a public address announcer I have had the opportunity to call many moments and I often reflect on those moments as they brought joy to victors. There is something very magical and spiritual when you can be part of moments that will be savored by many for years to come.  Even in defeats there were moments that brought happiness to the game. The idea is to savor and cherish the moments and use them as fuel to bring joy to your life and to the lives of others.

   Today would have been my mother’s 74th birthday. My mom, Judith Miller, was a strong woman who for 3 1/2 years battled non-operable metastatic lung cancer and on July 5, 2013 due to complications from a massive heart attack was called home to GOD. As followers of this blog and those who know me know that my mom and I were very close. I am honoring her memory by creating a legacy of hope for those affected by cancer by participating in The American Cancer Society Relay For Life and have set up a website at http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg1 where people can make donations or you can click on the donate page here.

 During one of our walks with her dog, Charlie, we began to talk about Inner Strength. My mom said to me “Jonathan it is all about your BS (belief system) if you don’t believe in yourself none will believe in you.” I thought about this as we walked and as we discussed what it takes to truly find your inner strength I realized that part od the spiritual awakening process is to peel back the onion and discover how strong you truly are. We returned to her house and we sat out on the patio for a bit and we discussed life in general. I asked her “Mom how do you do it, you have faced adversity and you continue to overcome.” Her answer was “Jonathan I had to be strong for you kids and by being strong for you I became stronger.” I guess this is where my ability to be a lifter of others comes from as my mom was a lifter and an encourager. My mom was the first to mention meditation to me. She was the one to gift me Don Miguel Ruiz’s The Four Agreements. I credit my mom who is now my angel in heaven for putting me on a spiritual path and for helping me to find an inner strength. It is in finding our inner strength that we gain the courage to take action, adopt anthems, and experience a spiritual awakening that enhances our personal and professional lives.

Spiritual Awakening: The Journey Continues!!

 

 Today as I sought the theme for today’s entry the universal powers conspired to deliver this son, 93 Million Miles by Jason Mraz, to me.  As I listened to the lyrics I began to understand that the journey towards spiritual awakening and enlightenment continues as it is an everyday walk. Each day presents opportunities to shine your light and to live in light and thus enlighten and awaken others. I have begun to sign comments on social media like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and others with the phrase Keep Shining Your Light.  I began to do this as I understand that by lighting another candle you only increase the light so when you shine your light and are value of service you increase the brightness of those around you. In the spiritual awakening process you begin to understand that the journey to enlightenment starts with the first step. The question to ask is am I ready to take that first step and discover who I truly am? The journey will be fraught with trials and tribulations as well as filled with much joy and abundance. As you continue your journey you will begin to understand that everything that happens is happening for us not to us as GOD has a master plan for you. In making the decision to make the mind, body, soul connection and walk your path daily you will be able to understand why some things happen. In all that we do on this continuous journey we receive lessons and messages. In is the way we react to the messages and how we apply the lessons that determine our level of awakening and enlightenment.

Spiritual Awakening: Opening The Inspirational Funnel!!!

 As I emceed The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Coral Springs I witnessed many opportunities that opened up the inspirational funnel. This particular moment was when Kids of Love honored Aaron who was celebrating his 6th birthday. Aaron is a cancer survivor and when he took the microphone and said “Hello, I love you,” to the crowd you could feel the inspiration that he exuded. Through out the night seeing his smile and all the survivors kept the participants inspired to keep walking as they celebrated those who have survived cancer, remembered those lost to cancer, and fought back by raising funds for research, education, advocacy, and services.  As of Saturday morning over $129,000 was raised.

 Through out Relay For Life there were many times that the inspirational funnel was opened. Just after The  Luminaria  Ceremony, where candles are lit in honor or memory of those affected by cancer a family arrived at Relay For Life. They were on the way back to their hotel to rest and make funeral arrangements as their mom had passed at 10:05 PM that evening. They saw The Relay as they were driving by and they stopped by to see if they could purchase a luminaria in their mom’s honor. The answer was don’t worry about a donation we will be happy to help you remember your mom. They were brought to the stage where DJ Willie told their story. They walked down the stairs and everyone that was at Relay joined in a lap with them. We stopped close to the start/finish line where I had everyone make a circle and I led a prayer for the family. The family thanked us and continued to walk for a while. I kept thinking if this doesn’t open up a funnel of motivation what do you need? At that point I walked over to the luminaria bag I had purchased, with the money collected at my pool area, to remember my mom and I sat on the track and realized my mom’s presence and a sense of pride for doing what I was doing while motivating others to take action to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.
