Spiritual Awakening: Changing On The Fly!!!

As many of you know I have been helping to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays by seeking donations for The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Sunrise, FL by asking people to visit http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg3. I have also been seeking donations for The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Boca Raton, FL by asking people to visit http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg4. This week I had a very big spiritual lesson occur as a result as I learned that sometimes you have to change on the fly. I was sending messages out on Facebook and it seems that they thought I was using the feature improperly by copying a message and pasting into my friends messages. The feature was shut off so I had to make a change on the fly and find a different way until the service was available again. As I found alternatives I went back to taking action and as a result I now sit at $1012 raised for The Sunrise Relay. I sit at $508.50 raised for The Boca Raton Relay. In sitting in reflection and realizing In have to change on the fly for it is imperative to remember GOD’s Master Plan.

In is when we follow the messages of GOD and make changes on the fly that we are able to be of service and value. Today my plan was to go to TD Bank and turn the change into cash that I had collected for The Boca Raton Relay For Life well I get to TD Bank and guess what their Penny Arcade Change Machine is broken, In the past I would have been angry and gotten upset  but today I regrouped and thought quickly and had the teller call another branch. The other branch told me their machine was working so I went there and as a result will have $15 to turn in for The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Boca Raton. I also made another change on the fly as I was going to go to get my haircut at one barber when due to my having to go to a different TD Bank it took me out of the area where my original barber was so I ended up at Super Cuts and had my hair cut.  I then ventured to Starbucks and had to make another change on the fly for the table I wanted to sit at was being occupied. i sat at the high table in the middle and when the table I wanted to sit at became available I moved. Now I could have said why is this happening to me and then I realized all these things were happening for me as the plans GOD had for me today were far greater than my original plans.  When I steeped back and started to look at things from a different perspective I was able to feel a shift that has now led to me being in a more positive frame of mind.

Spiritual Awakening: Seeing Signs!!!

In 1993 Ace Of Base released this song, I saw the sign, at tat time I didn’t realize just how prophetic this song would be in my spiritual awakening. Today ( 5/15/15) when I woke up the song popped into my head and I took it as a sign to write about seeing the signs that are being put right in front of us. I started to reflect on how many signs I had missed as I was not aware and awake and then I reflected on the benefit of now being aware and awake and in tune with signs that all around me. As I have become more and more aware and awake I have been able to take action on these signs and follow my divine inner guidance system that I call GOD’S Purpose System (G.P.S.) when I use this GPS I tend to find anthems like my GOD is Greater. I have  come to adopt a mantra of if GOD brought you to it God will bring you through it as a result of seeing the signs and then getting in alignment with GOD’S Message and then allowing things to unfold as he has planned. I have  learned that one can plan out their work and work their plan but if it is not in accordance with GOD’s plan for you no matter how hard you may try it will not come to fruition. Sometimes the signs appear and we are unaware or not in the oneness consciousness mindset that we miss the signs at first. Then the ascended masters work with GOD and send us the sign again like a catcher giving a pitcher the signs a second time. Once we see the signs we should not shake them off but rather act upon the signs and allow the process to take place and see where our actions guided by GOD takes us.

All around us are signs to help us mover further along our spiritual path. Sometimes these signs clog up our mind that we must sit back take a deep breath and ask GOD, our angels, and the ascended masters, for the meaning. If we seek we will  find the answer. There are many resources that GOD has put around us in the form of signs to help us create a oneness consciousness  so that we can create a world that is filled with caring and compassion. Each day there will be signs for us to follow just like getting directions for a trip so we can arrive at our destination safely and continue to move forward and evolve on our spiritual journey we need to be in tune with our GPS. If our GPS is off we may get lost along the way but once we fix it and make adjustments to The GPS we get back on track and are able to grow personally, professionally, and spiritually.  It is when we see certain signs and we find their meaning that we are able to stay on our spiritual path and thus be of service and value to others.

Spiritual Awakening: Go Ahead: Make My Day!!!

 Today’s entry was inspired by an encounter I had with a women whom I just met at The American Cancer Society office. We were both walking out at the same time and I asked her what company she worked for and she told me and I told her the reason I asked was because when I am not volunteering with The American Cancer Society Relay For Life I host a TV Show, The Anything Bucket, which airs on www.wrpbitv.com on Tuesday at 6:30 PM. This opened a conversation where I handed her my business card and she noticed www.the-spiritualawakening.com and she was intrigued. The conversation continued and  I told her I had a gift for her and went to my car and gave her a copy of the book Don’t Die With YOur Music Still In You. She was overjoyed and told me I made her day.  It was then that I asked her to give me her hand and that I wasn’t being fresh and as I massaged her hand I felt some of her tension and immediately told her that I believe she is conflicted about a recent decision about a relationsship. She opened up to me about her going through a divorce. She gave me a big hug and said we should get together for coffee. I said sure let me know how I can be of service and value to you.

 Ask yourself each day how can I make someone’s day? How can I be of service and value? How can I improve the community? What can I do that will bring peace, love, joy, and prosperity to my life while enriching the lives of others.  People will say to me all the JDOGG but don’t you want the fancy house, the nice car, and the expensive clothes and I always say no what I want is a world where people are kind, caring, compassionate and help one another  regardless of their monetary position. It is when we get lost in service that we are rewarded.  What makes my day is seeing that someone took time to visit http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg2 and made a donation and then seeing a story about breakthroughs being made in cancer research that is saving lives because of money raised through The American Cancer Society Relay For Life.

 I find that my day is made better and enriched when I detach from outcomes and do not force things and let them flow. Today (4/10/15) has been a good example of this After making a presentation and dropping off money at The American Cancer Society Office I headed to Starbucks where I met a representative from American Greetings we exchanged cards and guess who now has an email about Relay For Life. As I was sitting writing this blog a gentleman, Christopher Thomas Wilson, who I interviewed for my TV Show and also donated to Relay For Life came in and we had a nice talk about how GOD is working in our lives. Christopher has a movie out titled You have His Eyes, which documents his search for his father and what happened when he found him.  GOD and The Ascended Masters are working to bring the right people into your life to help make your day.

Spiritual Awakening: Taking Advantage of Cut Backs!!!

starbucks-logo[1] On may wonder what Starbucks has to do with a spiritual awakening?  I used to order the venti caramel frappuccino and I realized that as much as I liked them they were affecting my spiritual balance so I started to cut back and started ordering the grande size instead and I began feeling better. I also found that when I chose the iced green tea or black tea that I also felt better. In being aware of how my choices at Starbucks were affecting me spiritually, physically, and emotionally I have been able to take action and take advantage of  making personal cutbacks.

It is up to the running back to see the lane and go through that lane for a positive gain. In our spiritual development we also seek cutback lanes so that we can move forward on our path so that we are more aware and awake allowing us to make positive gains in our personal and professional life. In football the goal is to get to the end zone and put points on the scoreboard. In our spiritual growth the goal is to connect with GOD and create a oneness consciousness so that we score favor and thus are rewarded personally and professionally.  In football it takes everyone executing their position and meeting their responsibility to be successful. In life  it takes guidance from GOD, The Angels, and Ascended Masters who help us to execute our position to be successful. In football the coach can call a play but the team must execute.In life GOD calls the play and it is up to you to execute.

Spiritual Awakening: Action, Action, We Want Action!!!

 I must have been about 11 years old and in middle school when I first heard the cheer A-C-T-I-O-N Action, Action, Action We Want Action.  At the time I did not realize the impact that cheer would have on my however through the spiritual awakening process I have learned that it takes action to create the life one desires.  I then heard this song by Elvis and I began to think how appropriate as if we want to find love we must take action to be love and to pursue love. If we are truly to awaken spiritually and become aware of the divinity that we possess we must begin by taking action. In all we do we must take action steps to manifest what we desire. One of those action steps can be to set your intentions in writing and then to take the action necessary to turn that intention into reality. In one of my workshops I speak about if it is in sight in can be put into flight but if it is out of sight it is out of mind. Right now as you are reading this take out a piece of paper and write down 3 intentions for the week, then write down action steps to take to bring this intention to fruition.  I have been using this method for several years and I can tell you that when I write a statement starting with I Will I accomplish what I wrote.

Heroes finish the fight.Last year I wrote that I will raise $1500 for The American Cancer Society  Relay For Life Of West Boca Raton and I saw that intention everyday. I took daily action and as a result I raised $2557. This year I wrote that I will raise $3000 and I am taking daily action to reach this goal. The 2015 American Cancer Society Relay For Life of West Boca Raton will take place on May 2, 2015 from 12 PM – 12 AM at The St. Jude Catholic Church in Boca Raton. As of today (11/3/2014) I have raised $977 and continue to ask people to visit http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg2 and support this effort.  In taking action you will move forward in a positive direction of your goals. In sharing your purpose and story you will attract people who want to help you.

When I first heard about The South Florida Gold last year I called and auditioned to be their Public Address Announcer and I was hired.

Spiritual Awakening: The Power of The Platforms!!!

 

Home » Leopard print platform shoes - RedWhen one thinks of platforms they often go to the idea of ladies shoes instead of the concept of platforms to communicate their message. There is a power in both. have you ever watched a man and his reaction to a woman in platform shoes? This power can also be used to spread your message by looking at what platforms you have to use to express your message. I have found that most women who wear platform shoes exude a confidence and deliver their message quite effectively. As I discovered this fact through my spiritual awakening I thought what If I could figuratively model the behavior of those confident women and find ways to use the power of my platforms?  As I sat in meditation and sought the answer to the question of how to use the power of my platforms to empower and inspire others the answer came to me. The answer was to just go with your heart and let everything else flow as it is intended to.  Over the last few months I have learned that we all have a voice and a power to utilize it for the betterment  of our world. I have learned that one of the best ways use the power of the platforms is to understand that we are powerful beyond measure and the only thing that can hold us back is our self. So many times we do not step into our power because we do not know just how powerful our voice can be. many times we do not take actions because we are afraid that someone might say no or not share the same enthusiasm we have for our passion.

I immediately walked over and introduced myself and gave them my business card. I have a great platform with www.wrpbitv.com as I host a TV Show, The Anything Bucket, which airs on www.wrpbitv.com on Tuesday at 6:30 PM EDT. The Anything Bucket is reaching over 50,000 viewers in 145 countries every week. This is a powerful platform as people can come on The Anything Bucket share their message, but the clip of their appearance, and utilize that clip in all of their marketing.  The greatest platform you have is getting out in public and sharing who you are and what you do with others as you never know who you may meet and how each of you can be of service and value to one another.  Part of the spiritual awakening process entails reaching out to others so as to enhance their personal and professional lives. It is through helping others that we help ourselves. Sometimes all it takes is the courage to say hello  to a stranger and watch what unfolds. Remember you have something to offer others and when you shine your light the entire world is illuminated.

Spiritual Awakening: Serving Warmly!!!

As I sat at Starbucks this afternoon (7/30/14) I took a glance down toward the bag that contained my banana bread at there it was a sign of a spiritual awakening the words, WARMLY SERVED. I sat an pondered the idea of being connected to source and making a commitment to serve warmly without expectation of return. I watched The Baristas as they interacted with the customers and how each one showed a level of gratitude for the customer. Many knew the customers by name and greeted them very friendly and warmly. As a result much positive energy was released into the universe.  It was in witnessing positivity that I began to think how important it is to serve warmly.  Thus I ask you to reflect and  ask how am I serving warmly!!!

After you answer the question of how you are serving warmly it is important to make a decision to shine your light. In shining your light you will illuminate the love and greatness that you possess and thus you will give others permission to shine their light. As we all begin to serve warmly and shine our light the whole world becomes illuminated with a sense of hope.

 In the movie Monsters Inc. the slogan is we scare because we care as they were used the fear of the children that the monsters generated to create energy for the community. Then one day a young girl breached the barrier as she created more energy by laughing and as a result Sully and Mike Lebowski and Boo discovered that laughter was more powerful that fear and began to harness the laughter and thus the energy crisis was fixed and by serving warmly the entire energy changed.  Think of ways you can change fear from forget everything and run to face everything and rise. When you can laugh in the face of adversity you can meet and overcome the challenges that sometimes come into your life like the energy crisis in Monsters Inc. The question is how will you face down your monsters?

Spiritual Awakening: Pressing On!!!

 As I drove to Starbucks today (5/23/14) I was listening to Reach FM and this song was playing on the radio. I started to think since my spiritual awakening how many times I have pressed on despite the trials and tribulations that have been presented in my life. I have been asked several times JDOGG how do you keep moving forward? My answer, I become an action taker and I press on. I have come to realize during the spiritual awakening process that there are some that will, some that won’t so I say so what as there are some waiting and move on to the next person. I have discovered that I will not resonate or have a vibrational mix with everyone and that not everyone will share my passion and enthusiasm for life. The key is to be committed to pressing on and moving in a positive direction of your goals and dreams. I have discovered that as long as I shine my light and give glory to GOD that I will be able to press on and find success.

 In pressing on I have adopted this as an anthem to remind me to continue on my quest toward spiritual enlightenment. I have begun to ask myself everyone morning how I can be of service and value to others? I have made it a point to press on by being committed to make a difference in the lives of others and thus enhance my personal and professional life.  In pressing on and never giving up I have been able to experience a myriad of successes. In taking action and getting involved in the community I have seen changes being made because of people coming alive and committing to press on and stay positive. In pressing on I have had dreams come true like announcing a championship football game or emceeing a large community event.

 I was reflecting during the spiritual awakening process as I was working through releasing what a sixth grade teacher had told me 37 years ago that I wouldn’t amount to much. I shred the story how I overcame the diagnosis of a specific learning disability and the negatives associated with that diagnosis. I got my payback in 1988 when I was assigned to substitute teach at my old middle school. There I was in the teacher’s lounge when that teacher came in an I stood up and introduced myself and told her that I substituting teaching there and asked so how are you liking me know.  This story reminds me that no one can hold you back but yourself and how important it is to overcome and press on.

Spiritual Awakening: Serving Yourself So You Can Serve Others!!!

As I sat in my local Starbucks today preparing to write this article I began to think about the spiritual awakening process and how important it is to serve yourself before you can serve others.  As I enjoyed my caramel ribbon crunch and a blueberry scone I began to realize that we must nurture ourselves so that we awaken spiritually and set in motion the events that will allow us to help others.  In taking action along our spiritual path we set in motion events that will lead to success.  I have always believed in service as evidenced by my many years of involvement in charitable causes. In July of 1989 I joined The Coral Springs Jaycees and when they formed The Tamarac Jaycees I became president of The Tamarac Jaycees. I attended many conferences and won many awards through out my time with The Jaycees. In July of 2002  I left the Jaycees to follow a higher calling to serve as A U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in The Philippines. In February 2003 I returned home  to Coral Springs and quickly looked up community service opportunities. I decided that I would re-join The Jaycees and also do my part to help those affected by cancer by getting involved in The American Cancer Society Relay For Life. As I began to get re-acclimated to life here in The States and get my health back on track I began to realize how important it was to serve myself so I could serve others.

 In making sure I was centered and grounded and making a mind, body, soul connection I was able to understand that when you put yourself first you are able to make a bigger impact on the community. I am not saying be selfish I am saying make sure you are taken care of so you can help others. Through the spiritual awakening process I have learned that it is important to make sure you are in good shape mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually because if you are not you are of no value to yourself or others.  It is great to serve others and shine your light bright to see, however to do this you must serve yourself first.  If you take care of yourself first and you honor yourself as GOD wants you to prosper you will be given the tools and resources to help others.  When you begin to take care of yourself and you then take care of others you will see a shift in your life that allows you to grow personally and professionally. In many cases it can be a simple act like knocking on your neighbors door and seeing if they need anything. I recently went to my local Publix and there were many buy one get one free items so I bought what I needed and then made a bag up for my local church’s food pantry. It was such a good feeling to know that I had food and was able to share my abundance with others who may have gone without if not for the church.

Spiritual Awakening: Shake It Up!!!!!

 As I sat in The Starbuck’s at The Walk today ( 4/4/2014) I started to think how important it is to shake things up during the spiritual awakening process. Sometimes we have to just go with the flow and follow the message that GOD is giving us and understand that sometimes a set back is actually a step forward. In some cases it is GOD’s way of telling you that you deserve to be attracting a better class of clientele to use your services. In some cases it is GOD telling you not to worry about the financial gain or hardship but to understand that all things you need will be provided for you. As I went through a trying situation from 3/23/14 – 4/1/14 with a client over non-payment I struggled with what to do and then I followed the message from spirit and I feel very relieved. Another client who has dealings with the client who did not pay me tried to intervene and it was not their place to do so. I then prayed and GOD reassured me that he had bigger plans for me and wanted me to begin to work with people who were fully capitalized and who understood the responsibility that when you hire someone you pay them in a timely manner. GOD also told me that I needed to shake it up a bit and step into my power more and understand that my calling is to help others but to be compensated for my services.
