Spiritual Awakening: No Waiting!!!

Today (7/26/2022) I had my endocronologist follow up appointment due to me having Type II Diabetes which I had neglected when I was 1st diagnosed a few years ago because I was afriad of what the doctor would tell me. After a 6 day stay in the hospital from May 23-29, 2022 I decided that it was time to take action and that waiting was no longer an option. This was a wake-up call of sorts as I have come to realize that if I am not taking care of myself I will not be able to take care of others. I am pleased to say the appointment went well and I am down 10 lbs to 214 from 224 lbs on my last visit. I have been able to modify my eating habits and as a result my blood sugar level has been in the range that the endocronologist wants it in. I go back in 3 months for another follow up. I have come to realize that by taking action that I can get healthier. In taking action I can also share my story and hopefully encourage others to get checked while they overcome their fears of seeing the doctor. The Type II Diabetes is one of many medical challenges I am facing which I am taking care of as I have come to recognize that part of the spiritual awakening process includes being aware of your body and doing what you can to stay on a path to wellness. The point I am making is that one should not wait to be healthy that you should make health and wellness part of your daily routine.  I ahve come to understand that when you look good and feel good you can do good. The idea of releasing weight had been on mind for years but I talked about it and never really acted upon it until I was hospitalized for 6 days then I decided to commit to making changes so that I can help others to awaken while I strengthen myself mentally, physically, and spiritually. It was in listening to GOD that I decided to finally take care of myslef and to do the things needed to grow personally, professionally, and spiritually. It was time for me to face the truth and to believe in myself and to take action so that I can move forward in a positive direction of my dreams and goals. Through all my medical challenges I have learned that help is on the way.

In accepting that help is on the way I am able to become more and more aware and awake. In seeking help I have realized that there is no waiting to make the connection with GOD as GOD will send you messages and guide you so that you can walk in your truth and be the best version of yourself that you can be. Over the last 3 months I have made a decision that instead of forgetting everything and running that I will face everything and rise. It may take some time to remove blockages that have held me back however I no realize that when it comes to health and wellness and being of service and value to others you must take care of yourself first. Now is your time to stop waiting and to rise.

Many times when things seem the darkest and you want to wait that is the time to take action and allow things to play out as GOD has intended. Make today a day where you rise about that which was holiding you back so that you can thrive and begin to attract peace, love, joy, and prosperity into your life. Don’t hesitate to take care of yourself for when you tak action to stay well you can face all challenges that come your way. I learned the hard way as I didn’t see doctors for many years and kept saying to myself I will be okay only to find out that I was creating more issues that have now manifested themselves which I am taking care of however now. I hope that this entry will stop you from waiting and encourage you to take care of yourself. I encourage you to make each day count and to make sure you are not waiting to take care of important things in your life. As you stop playing the waiting game remember that this is the day that the lord hath made so be glad and rejoice in it. As you continue on hyour spiritual path and creating a life filled with bliss and abundance remember to take it one day at a time. Namaste!!!

Spiritual Awakening: Making Change!!!

As you experience a spiritual awakening and go through the process you will find yourself going through changes. Throughout my spiritual journey I have come to understand that changing the way I look at things and the way I react to things changes my attitude and makes for more positive outcomes. Look at what is causing blockages in your personal, professional, and spiritual life and commit to making a change. Sometimes it is as simple as looking at yourself in the mirror and peeling back the onion and being brutally honest with yourself so that you can make changes that will positively impact your life and the lives of others.

It is when we commit to change and start to take action to bring peace, love, joy, and prosperity into our life that we evolve and move forward in a positive direction of our goals. It is when we start to change our mindset and go from a position of lack to a position of abundance that we are able to be of service and value to others. It is when we stop saying I have to and start saying I get to that we find more bliss and abundance in our life. When we change our beliefs from limiting to limitless we find that what the mind can conceive, the heart can believe, and you can achieve. When we decide to follow through on changes we find ourselves in a better place. One thing to remember is that you are a divine child of GOD and GOD’S plan is far greater than the plan you have for yourself.

When we use our talents for good and let go and let GOD we begin to create a better life for ourselves and others. I have turned to the serenity prayer to make the changes I can accept that which I can’t and to gain the wisdom to know the difference. When we make a change and decide to stay connected to GOD, Jesus, The Ascended Masters, and The Angels we are able to create favorable outcomes. When we walk in our truth and we are transparent we attract the resources we seek to be successful.

When we decide to walk in our truth and count our blessings instead of our problems we put things in motion that allow us to make a mind, body, soul, connection. One big change to make is to look at how you are communicating to yourself and others. It is when you stop the negative self-talk and start building you will find that you are doing things that you once thought was impossible. When you stop comparing yourself to others and you simply become the best version of yourself you will find more positivism occurring around you.

When you find yourself having negative thoughts about yourself change the words by listening to GOD and heeding GOD’S words as GOD know of the greatness that you have inside of yourself. GOD knows your name and will help you to make changes so that you can face everything and rise instead of forgetting and everything and running. When you show gratitude and praise GOD you will find that you are rewarded in a myriad of ways. Remember that when you make changes and tap into your inner divinity GOD and The Universe will give you tools to continue to help yourself and others to excel. I have seen firsthand what masking changes can do in one’s life as I have started to change the things I focus on and how I approach people about them understanding that my message may not resonate with everyone and that is okay as it is not my job to convince people and that I am simply sharing and those that need my message will accept the message and share it with others that they believe can use the message. In my spiritual journey I have come to realize that it is important to change and evolve so that you can shine your light and illuminate the world as you begin to make changes by thinking globally and acting locally. It is through change that we can make a positive difference while we are here on this earth. Now is the time to look at what needs to be changed in your Life and top make changes and to make a plan that will improve your life so that you can create the life that you desire. It is time to clear negative energy and embrace positivism and understand that all things taht happen for us happen for a reason.

May the changes come easy.

Spiritual Awakening: Get Back Up!!!

Through the spiritual awakening process I have come to realize that you will face many challenges and it is important that you understand that theses challenges are put in your life to allow you to get back up and be stronger in mind, body, and spirit. As many of you who frequent this blog you know the medical challenges that I have been facing and how I am making changes to get back up. Today (7/18/2022) I visited the colonrectal surgeon and was told I need surgery for The Pilonadil Cyst and The Fitsula and it could take 6-8 weeks to heal. If I get clearnce from Primary Care Physician, Endochronologist, and Cardiologist I am scheduled to have the Surgery on August 15. All I could think about as I arrived home is how I am going to get back up so I can honor my commitment to announce fot The Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs and The Plantation Wildcats this football season. If all goes well I will only miss 1 game each for each team as I am told I should be able to drive 1 week after surgery. As I begin to process everything I start to comprehend how important it is to not let things go and to face challenges head on so you can get back up and serve as an example to others. Now is the time to tap in to my inner divinity and get back up and become stronger.

It is when you commit to getting back up and making changes in your life to improve yourself and to overcome challenges that you set in motion all things neccessary to make you stronger. In getting back up and seeking guidance from GOD, Jesus, The Ascended Masters, and The Angels You are able to face everything and rise so that you can rech your full potential and create a life you desire. Yes there will be setbacks however most setbacks are set ups for something better as GOD will never give you anything you can’t handle. It getting back up it is important to find the thing that you are passionate about and take action so you can have success. The challenges that are put in front of us may seem overwhelming but remember if GOD brought you to it GOD will bringyour through it. As I wrote in the article The Great Wake Up Call GOD will sometimes go to extremes to make sure you get the message. The message I received was time to take care of myself and get back up. It is time for everyone to heed the messages and to become stronger.

The key to getting back up is to kniow that you are getting stronger and that GOD has a bigger plan for you. I have come to realize that we are all divine children of GOD and GOD wants us to prosper so we can prosper others. In getting back up it is important to maintain a positive attitude even though what you might be facing is scary. It is when we keep walking our faith walk that we are able to get back up and walk in our truth thus becoming a person who is of service and value.

I have found that a great way to get back up is to take time to walk in nature and connect with GOD, Jesus, The Ascended Masters, and The Angels and seek guidance and be prepared to become an action taker on the messages that you receive. It is now time to take adversity and turn it into an opportunity to thrive and serve as a beacon of hope for others.

 

In getting back up you should embrace the idea that all things are possible through Christ who strengthens us. Now is your time to get stonger and to use your experience to help other people excel so you can get back up and help others to do the same. Now is the season to make a come back and to step into your power by walking in your truth and facing all the challenges and knowing what does not kill us will make us stronger. It is now your opportunity to overcome adversity and to start attracting peace, love, joy, and prosperity into your life as you get back up. It is your time to rise and to step into your power by contiuning on your path and knowing that you are meant for greatness.

It is time to get back up and to go with the flow and allow yourself to be guided by GOD, Jesus, The Ascended Masters, and The Angels, Namaste!!!

Spiritual Awakening: Don’t Conform, Transform!

Most of our life since we came out of the womb we have been told we must fit in and conform when in reality it is the non-conformists who tend to find the most success. When we go deep inside and find our purpose and see what problem we were put on the earth to solve we are able to find our way and our why that we are able to take action and find our definition of success. In American Society we are told it is about wealth and materialistic things when in reality it is about being a lifter and helping others and showing others that service to humanity is the best work of life. Yes money is needed to take care of basic needs like food, shelter, and clothing and yes money will allow you to touch more lives but money should not be your only motivations. Living for the fancy house, the fancy cars, and the fancy clothes only puts restraints on reaching the level of self actualization. It  may be great to have all the materialistic things but these materialistic things can also stifle our ability to grow personally, professionally, and spiritually. It is when you arrive at a level where you have wealth that you begin to spread it around to help other people excel. It is when you lift others that you are lifted. I encourage those reading this to make a commitment to transform instead of conforming. Be the person who stands out and shines their light bright for the world to see. Some may look at you a bit strangely but that doesn’t matter because when it is all said and done and that judgement day comes all that will matter is how you served and honored GOD.

We are taught from day one that we have to look fro the future when in reality we must detach from the expectation of the future and live for the moment. We must put the past behind us and stop projecting and simply live in the moment and let GOD’S master plan direct us. It is time to stop conforming and to start transforming. It is time to live our lives on purpose and turn our dreams into reality.  It is good to have a plan of action however you must be willing to tweak this plan accordingly so that you can achieve what you perceive as success.  I have come to understand that you must be motivated by your inner divinity and allow that inner divinity to guide you along your spiritual path so that you can grow personally, professionally, and spiritually.

Spiritual Awakening: Keep Going!!!

I remember a day back in 1980 when I was a freshman in high school and was participating in my first swim meet when my coach entered me in the 500 yard freestyle. I knew I could do the 20 lengths of the pool as I had plenty of endurance. I kept reminding myself to just keep going and not to give up. I swam what is considered a slow time of over 8 minutes and when I finished the fans all applauded. I didn’t know if they were applauding that I had finished or that they could move onto the next race. Over the years I would improve and eventually I would be come a top ranked competitive swimmer in the state. Not only did I do long distance my coach would enter me in the 100 yard free style and 200 yard freestyle and I would start to win those races as well as the 500 yard freestyle. When I went to college I swam what it referred to as unattached as the university did not have a swim team yet but had built this great aquatics complex. I share this with you to illustrate just how important it is to keep going. The day I decided not to swim competitively any longer was the day I realized a higher calling and that was to teach swimming. One of my biggest rewards came when one of the younger kids about age 5 who was really afraid of the water said I will go in if Mr. Jon takes me. I took the child into the pool and he clutched me and wouldn’t let go but at least I had him in the water. Over the next 10 days I would work with that child and he would start to hold on to the wall checking that I was with arms reach and then on day 11 he moved his arms and legs and swam from the wall to me about 15 feet away. The summer went on and each day the boy would go a bit further and further. On the final day of camp it was traditional to pick up any tips at the office. There was one tip that stood out it was from the young boys mom and a note that read I don’t have much but I wanted to thank you for giving my son a great summer. The steak I bought that night tasted a bit sweeter knowing that I kept going and as a result made a positive impact on a child. As The Fall Semester began I received a letter from the camp director with a hand written note that said they said not to hire you they were wrong I want you back. I went back the next summer and on the first day of camp there was the little boy from the year before and now he was swimming in the deep end and moving up to next Red Cross Swimming Level. When I saw this a sense of pride came over me. It was then that I realized my calling is to help other people excel.
It has been 28 years since I taught swimming at Hofstra University yet the words of the camp direct Sy Levenger still fuel me as I know there are those that are doubters that  will say what others have said don’t hire him or don’t use his services. I have learned that people will judge and try to hold you back but you will also have lifters and those who believe in you so remove those who no longer serve you and surround yourself with lifters. It is when we decide to keep moving and follow our spiritual calling that we create peace, love, joy, and abundance in our lives. It is when we take action despite the naysayers that we find success. Our human existence often interferes with our spiritual existence because we worry so much about what others will say and so many times what they say affects us. In overcoming this and understanding our own spirituality we can take action to let go and let GOD. We can adopt anthems that keep us going. I have  learned that their will be disappointments but in reality it is not a disappointment it is something happening in GOD’s plan as GOD knows your name and your purpose and will deliver to you all you need in each season of your life. In high school GOD needed me to show others that persistence and hard work pays off. In college GOD needed me to show children that they were capable. As I get older I begin to understand that I am a conduit for GOD to utilize to help others excel as they experience their own spiritual awakening.

Spiritual Awakening: Expose Yourself!!!

It is when you expose yourself to the spiritual teachings and embrace the spiritual gifts that you have been given by GOD, The Angels, and The Ascended Masters that you begin to release your attachment to materialistic things and realize that none of your earthly possessions really matters. What really matters is the fact that you can knowingly and authentically state that you are living a life of purpose that is bringing service and value to the world. The other day i heard people bragging about their cars and I thought well you can not eat your car and you can not feed others with your car. I then thought your car could bring to places to get food and buy food for others but at the end of the day that fancy BMW, Bentley, Mercedes, or Lamborghini is going to get you to the same place as my Chevy Cobalt.  These same people then started to speak about their fancy homes and their mortgages and I thought wow  do you really need a five bedroom home if you are single. Then they all began to complain about the bills that came with the cars and the fancy homes. I again thought if all this materialistic stuff isn’t bringing you happiness maybe you need to expose yourself to what the root of the issues are.  In taking action to expose yourself to what the root issues are you will see that it isn’t always about materialistic possessions or your surroundings it is about  who you truly are and embracing that person and then exposing yourself more and more peeling away the layers that have led to the blockages that are stopping you from moving forward.

On of the greatest ways to move forward is to consult clergy after you do this self assessment.Once you expose yourself and get naked with yourself you will find it easier to come alive and be of service and value to your community. In removing the fear of what you might find out you will be able to become more and more detached from the concept of being right and start to do the right thing.  In exposing yourself you will able to more effectively move in the direction of your dreams. In doing a self assessment you will begin to see what emotions are hindering you and what emotions are helping you. The key is to continue to understand who you are and what is your calling is and to work toward answering that calling.

 Many times when I need to expose myself to new messages or new teachings I will purchase some spiritual candles and light them while I sit in prayer and meditation. I will quiet my mind and thus I able to get centered and grounded and receive the messages that are designed for me.

Spiritual Awakening: Seeing Signs!!!

In 1993 Ace Of Base released this song, I saw the sign, at tat time I didn’t realize just how prophetic this song would be in my spiritual awakening. Today ( 5/15/15) when I woke up the song popped into my head and I took it as a sign to write about seeing the signs that are being put right in front of us. I started to reflect on how many signs I had missed as I was not aware and awake and then I reflected on the benefit of now being aware and awake and in tune with signs that all around me. As I have become more and more aware and awake I have been able to take action on these signs and follow my divine inner guidance system that I call GOD’S Purpose System (G.P.S.) when I use this GPS I tend to find anthems like my GOD is Greater. I have  come to adopt a mantra of if GOD brought you to it God will bring you through it as a result of seeing the signs and then getting in alignment with GOD’S Message and then allowing things to unfold as he has planned. I have  learned that one can plan out their work and work their plan but if it is not in accordance with GOD’s plan for you no matter how hard you may try it will not come to fruition. Sometimes the signs appear and we are unaware or not in the oneness consciousness mindset that we miss the signs at first. Then the ascended masters work with GOD and send us the sign again like a catcher giving a pitcher the signs a second time. Once we see the signs we should not shake them off but rather act upon the signs and allow the process to take place and see where our actions guided by GOD takes us.

All around us are signs to help us mover further along our spiritual path. Sometimes these signs clog up our mind that we must sit back take a deep breath and ask GOD, our angels, and the ascended masters, for the meaning. If we seek we will  find the answer. There are many resources that GOD has put around us in the form of signs to help us create a oneness consciousness  so that we can create a world that is filled with caring and compassion. Each day there will be signs for us to follow just like getting directions for a trip so we can arrive at our destination safely and continue to move forward and evolve on our spiritual journey we need to be in tune with our GPS. If our GPS is off we may get lost along the way but once we fix it and make adjustments to The GPS we get back on track and are able to grow personally, professionally, and spiritually.  It is when we see certain signs and we find their meaning that we are able to stay on our spiritual path and thus be of service and value to others.

Spiritual Awakening: Leave A Message!!!

As I stood at the podium today to pay my respect’s to Barbara Theodoiou’s son Daniel, who I encountered only a few times over the last 8 years as he battled the heinous disease of addiction, I realized that the world lost a vibrant young man who loved life and showed us all to be compassionate and understanding when we encounter others. As I sat an listened to others speak about Daniel I thought what a message he left us all. He  may have had some very challenging issues but despite all he had been through he remained kind and caring. He may have done some outlandish things because of the stronghold drugs had on him. As Barbara read many of his poem I thought what poignant messages he had to deliver and how unfortunate a young life was lost. Often after a loss we ask GOD why? and we do our best to find a reason. Perhaps GOD has used Daniel for the purpose he had planned and reminding us that it is up to us to deliver messages that are filled with hope and healing so that we will make our world a better place one person at a time.  I was given the honor of being a Pallbearer and as we unloaded the coffin and placed it above the grave preparing it for it’s final rest I began to ask GOD what message he had. As I sat in my car waiting to leave the cemetery the answer came and it was to continue to share a message of positivity and to be of service and value to all those I come in contact with so as to continue to shine my light.

 I have learned through the spiritual awakening process to leave a message that makes people feel like they are appreciated. I have  gone as far as giving thank you notes to the baristas at Starbucks, the tellers at my bank, the cashier at Walmart, and those who donate to my effort to help those touched by cancer who visit http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg2 and make a donation. Recently I took my message of showing gratitude to another level when I visited www.tofa.us and bought 5 tokens of appreciation to give out to random people who did somenthing nice for me. If our awakening allows us to come alive and answer our calling to be more compassionate and appreciative to the people who we meet along out path then we improve the lives of others by simple assuming an attitude of gratitude.

Spiritual Awakening: God’s Conduit!!!

... , positioning ourselves as a conduit of God’s blessings to othersYou are a sacred conduit through which God flows into this world.....Have you ever switched on a light switch and wondered how it knows to turn on a light?  It is a conduit that sends a  message through an electric impulse that we perceive to be electrical energy and thus the light is turned on. This same principle apples to us as we undergo our spiritual awakening the switch for us is GOD as he turns us on and directs us in ways he wants us to fulfill the purpose he has for us. Just like the light will not illuminate the room when turned off or burnt out we can not function at our optimum level without being turned on by GOD. So many times we have a tendency to block the conductivity of GOD because we allow the human experience to interfere with the spiritual experience. When we allow ego, which is edging GOD out to drive us our energy levels and our ability to resonate and vibrate with others on a positive level is reduced. It is when we feel this reduction that we must take action to reconnect with GOD.Just like changing the lightbulb when it  burns out we must change our mindset to be more connected with GOD so that we can be the conduit that shows others that all things are possible when you have oneness consciousness and a connection to GOD. Many times we have blockages in our personal and professional life because the conduit to GOD has been broken. To fix this broken connection and become a more powerful conduit for GOD we must look inside and find out what it is that is creating these blockages and make the necessary repairs. Many times it will call for a rewiring of our belief system and the understanding that part of the spiritual awakening process entails letting go and letting GOD. This can be difficult as many times we do not control the outcome so we must remember to ask GOD to grant us the serenity  to change the things we can accept the things we can not and the wisdom to know the difference.

Serenity Prayer Pink Poppies PosterIn stating this prayer and seeking GOD’S guidance we are able to step into the power that GOD has given us and achieve great things. I have often acted on the messages from GOD and as a result have been rewarded. I often state to people it is not me I am just a conduit for GOD to use to show people that service to humanity is the best work of life. I have found out that it is not my job to bring people kicking and screaming onto a spiritual path but rather it is my responsibility to shine my light for others to see and to be a lifter for those I come in contact with. Last night (2/15/15) I stopped in at a local McDonald’s to use their restroom but I felt a little guilty about not buying anything so I bought a  soft serve ice cream and a strawberry cream pie. As I left there was a gentleman asking fro money I had no money to give him but I gave him the strawberry cream pie and said GOD Bless You and I went to my car. This was one way in which I could be a conduit for GOD and to be of service and value.  In doing good deeds without the expectations of return you will be rewarded. I have come to realize that GOD loves a cheerful giver and we all have something to give.
