As the final buzzer went off, The Miami Heat were victorious 117 -92 over The Indiana Pacers in Game 6 of The Eastern Conference Finals Advancing to their 4th straight NBA Finals I kept thinking about how this relates to having a spiritual awakening. The Heat were determined to take strong action after a game five loss. Taking action is an important step in the spiritual awakening process. They saw a deficiency and rather than make excuses they took action to fix it. In the loss The Indian Pacers learn what they need to do to get past The Heat as The Heat has knocked them out of the playoffs for the last 3 years. The Pacers now know that they must make some adjustments. In the spiritual awakening process one will experience loss. In working through the loss you will grow by making adjustments that lead to victory.
During your spiritual awakening you will become filled with fire that will fuel the energy for you to create the life that you desire. In being consumed with the fire of spirit you will be able to find clarity in purpose as you are creating a oneness consciousness with GOD that will allow you to step into your greatness and achieve the prosperity which is your birthright. As you are consumed by the fire of spirit it is imperative that you write your goals down and that you put a plan of action in place to achieve these goals. As you work toward your goals and answer your you will find that the heat is on and GOD will continue to feed that heat so the fire is always kindled inside. There will be set back and there will be times that you may want to extinguish the fire. Do not extinguish the fire with in keep in burning because as long as there is one burning ember inside of you a flame can be turned into an inferno thus allowing for great things to happen in your personal and professional life.
In being immersed in the fire that burns inside you will begin to light the creative juices that will propel you forward in the positive direction of your dreams. The heat is on side of you and now is the time to turn it up and set a fire inside others. In shining your light and sharing your burning embers you effectively change the world one person at a time. In sharing positivity and being of service and value the fire spread and when the fire spreads for good everyone involved benefits.
In the James Bond movies he has a catch phrase when ordering his martini, Shaken Not Stirred. As I reflected back on this phrase I immediately thought that there are many times when we take action that we are shaken and not stirred and when we are shaken we must find something to un-shake us and put us back on our spiritual path that will allow us to continue in the spiritual awakening process. This song was one of the reminders that if you have faith and you create a oneness consciousness you will not be shaken, however if you are shaken you can get back on track. In answering your calling and following your heart you will have some detractors who will do their best to shake you and take you off of your path. Do not allow these naysayers and doubters to shake you simply detach from them and move forward in the positive direction of your dreams. As you begin to change those that are involved in your life will change. At first this may shake you up as you eliminate people and things that no longer serve you. As you get past the initially shake up you will begin to come alive and see that you have greatness inside of you and that it is time to step into your power.
Spiritual Awakening: Shaken Not Stirred- A Success Story!!!
Sometimes in our efforts to be of service and value we will be shaken as not everyone will resonate with our efforts. In my quest to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays through my involvement with Relay For Life I used to take it quite personally when someone said no or made an excuse or was mean towards me. I recently realized that if I am shaken this doesn’t serve my purpose and that I must detach from the outcome and continue to do what I am comfortable with. I was a bit shaken during the fundraising for The 2014 American Cancer Society Relay For Life because I kept comparing my results with the results of others. As I was telling someone that I have raised $1862 so far they said that is great. I replied yes but there are people who have raised a lot more. The person’s response to me after that was JDOGG you have to stop comparing yourself to what others have done your $1862 is $1862 that the organization didn’t have before you did fundraising. I reflected on his words and thought he is right. It was at that point that I became un-shaken and continued to do the fundraising the way I was comfortable and looked at each dollar raised as a triumph. I began to use the concept of gratitude and instead of being shaken I was able to stay the course an now look at from the perspective that some money raised is better than no money raised. I now look at the detractors in a different light as I know some will, some won’t, so what, some waiting, next.
Imagine that your life is like driving on the autobon without a speed limit and ask yourself why am I putting a limit on what I do. The idea of evolving spiritually is to become limitless and shift from a position of lack and fear to a position of abundance and joy. So many times I hear people say things like I Can’t and I answer give it a shot the worst thing that will happen is you will learn from the experience. I remember the rope climb in high school I kept thinking I can’t do that I am not strong enough then one day I said I am going to do this and though I only made it half way to the roof I felt a sense of accomplishment after weeks of training and many attempts I finally reached the roof. I knew at that time that we can be limitless in our beliefs if we just go for it. The shift can be as simple as going from:
1: I can’t do that I am not strong enough to I will use my strength and let it lead me to success
2: I can’t afford that to I will find a way to afford this
3: I am not good enough to I am getting better each time I do this
4: I am overweight to I have a desire to be healthier
