Spiritual Awakening: Getting Back Up!!!

      Through the spiritual awakening process I have come to understand that when life’s trials and tribulations seem to be knocking you down take time to reconnect to GOD, Jesus, Source, And Spirit. The last 12 days have been an emotional rollercoaster as I attended the celebration of life for my friend Dianne Fischer and the next day received a donation from her son-in-law, Christian for The 2021 American Cancer Society Relay For Life. A few days later I was watching the news when I learned of The Surfside Condo Collapse and was saddened by the loss of life. I started to think about those who survived were feeling and how they would have to get back up. There was a glimmer of hope when I learned of the efforts to get supplies to first responders and all those affect by this tragic event. I sat in mediation today (6/30/2021) and the message of get back up kept emanating in my mind. I realized that I was looking at things from a bad perspective as I was beating myself up for only raising $1813 toward a goal of $2500 for The 2021 American Cancer Society Relay For Life instead of being proud of raising the money. I was also feeling bad as I haven’t found steady employment after being out of work since June 2020. It was as though my joy had been sucked out of me and was wondering how I would get it back and then it hit me I must detach from outcomes and simply use my talents for good on a daily basis and everything will be fine as I get back up. I share this with you to let you know that GOD only puts on your plate what you can handle and will provide resources for you to handle everything that you are facing. Now is a time to get back up and use your talent for good.

     Over the last 12 days I realized that I was not motivated to do much as I had some setbacks and then I realized it was me worrying that was stopping me from getting back up and that it was now time to face everything and rise to make better choices and to get up and start taking action again. It was time to walk in my truth and to take action that would help to bring bliss and abundance into my life. I was feeling down but then I turned to the scriptures and found that it was time to get back to my spiritual base and awaken and to take action to overcome the emotions that were stopping me from moving forward in a positive direction of my goals. It is now time to break the shackles and to connect with GOD and get back up.

    As June ends and we turn the page into July may you commit to removing the shackles and getting back up. One way to overcome the feeling of being defeated or sad is to pray and give praise and show gratitude for what you have and what you have accomplished. I was so busy looking at being short of a goal or people speaking bad about me that I basically shut down then it hit me I need to be the action taker and shine my light to illuminate the world by walking in my truth and understanding some will, some won’t, some waiting, so what, next. I was getting so caught up in all the nonsense that was coming at me that I shut down for 12 days however I did  discover that I can get back up and move forward in my spiritual journey so that I can enhance my personal and professional life.  I share this experience in hopes that it will help you to see that you are not alone and that we all can get back up and step into our power and achieve the greatness that is our birthright. Though the times may seem dark take  moment to smile knowing that GOD has plans to improve your personal, professional, and spiritual life.

In the last 12 days I felt as though my smile was broken and then I received some positive results from the actions that I was taking that I began to fix the smile and allowed my inner joy to come out and realized that whatever happens for me is happening for a reason. Sometime it is in the small steps that we can get back up and create the life that GOD has intended for us. The last 12 days gave me the opportunity to regroup and to get back up slowly. Namaste.

Spiritual Awakening:Getting Higher!

As I left an interview with a staffing agency today (3/22/2019) I began to think how important it is to radiate and vibrate at a higher level of consciousness so as to tap into our inner divinity and create our best life. As I went out collecting donations for The American Cancer Society Relay For Life I was reminded to vibrate at the highest level possible and detach from the outcome. As a result of being centered, balanced, and focused I was able to resonate with my message and had people donate and be kind. It may have helped that I was dressed in a suit and I looked like an executive which reinforced my belief that when you look good and feel good you can do good.  It may have been that I felt a special connection with GOD today and GOD was allowing me to get higher. In staying connected to GOD and taking action you begin to function at a higher level of consciousness thus allowing you to attract more peace, love, joy, and prosperity into your life. It is said the better your attitude the higher your altitude. It is now time for you to soar higher than you have soared before by getting higher in your mind, body, soul connection.  As you get higher it is important to feast on the fruits of spirit.

Spiritual Awakening: I Got Your Blessing Right Here!!!

As I sat at a memorial service for a friend’s mother I had an opportunity to pray and commune with GOD who directed me to Psalm 23 and Ecclesiastes 3. As I read the scripture I began to realize that GOD has all the blessings and will give them to you when GOD feels you are ready to receive them.

As I left the chapel and witnessed the butterfly release I began to think about the blessing GOD has given to us all and that is the ability to metamorphize. Like the caterpillar we to need to die to ourself so as to metamorphize and become a butterfly so as to become the beautiful being that GOD has created and to soar to the heights that GOD has intended for us to reach. It is important to understand that what GOD gives to you is meant to help you grow personally, professionally, and spiritually. Many times GOD gives us messages so that we can metamophize and change our lives and the lives of others. GOD recently gave me a message to ask for help so I did by setting up www.gofundme.com/help-jdogg-save-his-condo-and-more and I have had a few people make donations. I am grateful to all that have come through in the last 8 1/2 months and have helped me in my time of need. I am working on turning things around. I have continued to assume an attitude of gratitude while realizing that if GOD brought me to it GOD will bring me through it. GOD will send blessings and messages and it is important to take action and detach from the outcomes. I have found that GOD is with you and wants a relationship with you.

It is knowing that through good times and bad times that GOD is with you and all you have to do is stay connected so as to make a mind, body, and soul connection. In accepting that GOD’S Plan is far greater than the one you have for yourself you will begin to receive blessings and as a result your life will be filled with much peace, love, joy, and prosperity. GOD will bring you through storms and create rainbows filled with hope and healing in your life.

As you are facing storms of your own take solace in knowing that GOD will bring your through it and make you stronger. Namaste!!!

Spiritual Awakening: Gotta Keep On Moving!!!!

As I write this it has been 8 months since the passing of my DAD and I am struggling financially as I have not had steady work for nearly a year. I have worked some announcing gigs and have managed as I had a savings account but I have depleted that and now find myself at a crossroads. I have found my spiritually being tested and at times have wanted to quit but I knew I had to keep on moving as there are people who will help me by visiting www.paypal.me/jdogg8265 and making a love donation. I am trying many things to get into a better financial position however it seems as though just when things seem to be improving a set back occurs. This was the case on Sunday 3/10/2019 when I was on my way to an awards banquet and my car was run into by a pedestrian and when I asked if he wanted me to call EMS he ran away. My car now has a nice dent in it and I don’t have the money to fix it. I have had 3 months with virtually no income so I turned to GOD and asked for his guidance. I received the message to keep on moving and that people will be presented to help you. Ideally finding people to use my services as a PA Announcer, Emcee, and Voice Over Talent would be be great. I have been applying for many jobs as I have a very diverse skill set that GOD has given to me. I started to look back on all that has happened and I have realized that if I am to prosper I need to take action and continue to move forward in a positive direction toward my goals.

As tough as things seem as I deal with high blood pressure, hypertension, Type II Diabetes, a sports hernia, and the stress of not know where my next dollar will come from I take solace in knowing that GOD only gives you what GOD thinks you can handle. With all that is happening in my personal, professional, and spiritual life I am heeding the message from GOD to keep moving. I have come to understand that I need to get back to the pillars of spirituality and come from a position of gratitude. I need to become a man in motion and be driven by the messages from GOD, Jesus, The Ascended Masters, and The Angels.

I have come to realize that I need to surround myself with action takers who will lift me up and help me in my time of need. I have come to understand that if GOD brought me to it GOD will bring me through it. I thank all those who have already helped. It is time to lay it on the line and keep moving. I am grateful for those who have reached out and checked on me as I am having a tough time. I have begun to put myself out there and share my challenges in hopes that people will see me moving and going forward and be inspired and empowered to continue to move forward in their personal, professional, and spiritual life.

As I look back over the last 7 years and all I have faced I have come to understand that I must be focused and balanced so that I can move forward. It is scary to face the fact that you may loose everything but sometimes in loosing everything you gain more of what GOD has intended for you and your life becomes better because you kept on moving forward. I have tried things that I thought would be financially successful only to find that I need to change the way I approach projects and how I share with others if I am to move forward.

It is time to move forward and praise GOD by being grateful for what I have and not wanting what I don’t have. It is my hope that I will break the shackles that have been blocking me from being in a better financial position so that I can move forward while being of service and value to others. I share my story of challenge so that others will see that they are not alone and that there is help to allow you to move forward and create a better life for yourself. Namaste!!!

Spiritual Awakening: Stretching The Limit!!!

    As I walked around the lake today (9/21/2018) I kept hearing a message, you are limitless. As I finished up my training for my position as an Outside Community Service Advisor with Alexander -Levitt Funeral and Cremations I began to realize why I was getting the messages to stretch the limit it was because GOD want me as well as you to prosper by being limitless in our thinking and to follow our heart by understanding that the only one stopping us is ourselves. How many times have you heard you can’t or that is impossible and you believed it so you didn’t continue to do what you were doing only to utter the words I wish I had at a later time. As you become more and more awake and aware you need to stop listening to the doubters, the haters, and the naysayers and simply stretch the limit.

Passion + Action = Success

     There were many people who doubted me and told me I would never be an announcer because I had a learning disability and at one time in my life stuttered. Well I defied the odds and I developed my GOD given talent and I landed several announcing gigs including doing The Miami Caliente of The Legends Football League Games and Lingerie Bowl 7. Since my foray into becoming an announcer, an emcee, and a voice over talent I have learned that you must follow your passion and take action in order to find success. In stretching the limit and going after what I wanted I have found some success and I hope my stories of overcoming adversity will encourage you to stay on your path to grow personally, professionally, and spiritually.  There comes a time when we must follow our inner divinity and connect with GOD so that we can stretch the limit and manifest the life we desire. That time is now for if you want to truly attract bliss and abundance into your life you must become an action taker who doesn’t allow people to tell you that you can’t do something. You are a divine child of GOD who can accomplish anything that you put your mind to it. It is your time to break down the boundaries and to take to the limit.

     When you decide to take it to the limit you will find yourself accomplishing things that some people only imagine. In 1995 I was named one of The Top 5 Jaycees in America as I took the idea of service to humanity being the best work of life to the limit. It has be 23 years since this accomplishment and the award still hangs in my bedroom as a reminder of what can be done when you listen to your heart and GOD and don’t allow others to tell you that it can not be done and you take action to do it. In those 23 years since earning that very prestigious honor I have continued to take it to the limit by being of service and value to others and not worrying about what others my think for at the end of the day what matters is did I please myself and did I please GOD. 

  As I continue to stretch the limits I have adopted this song as one of my anthems because I have come to know that the only one that can stop me is me. I have had many a set back and challenge but I know that as long as I am connected to GOD, Jesus, The Ascended Masters, and The Angels that nothing will break my stride and as long as I move forward in a positive direction toward my goals that I will attract peace, love, joy, and prosperity into my life. It is when we stretch what we perceived to be limits that we have the greatest success. When you walk in your truth you are going to encounter those who will try to bring you down. To those people I simple say thank you for your doubt only made me stronger.

  Now is your time to break the chains that have held you back and created blockages by seeing increase and stretching the limits that no longer exist as you have become an action taker and are creating the life that you desire. It is time for you to stop you negative self talk  and to understand that you are limitless and capable of amazing things. It is time for you to step into your power and become great by stretching the limit.

    It is your time to go get it and be prosperous in this season as you stretch your limits and don’t let anything hold you back. IT doesn’t matter about the economy, who is in political office, or what others says all that matters is that you believe in yourself and that you take action to stretch the limits and to be the exceptional person that you are. It is your time to shine bright and illuminate the world and don’t let anyone else tell you differently. Namaste

Spiritual Awakening: Throw Your Troubles Away!!!

As you experience a spiritual awakening it is important to throw your troubles away and understand that if GOD brought you to it GOD will bring you through it. This was very evident this morning (8/8/2018) as I arrived at the bank to make a payment on a home equity loan that my DAD had and that I have assumed since his passing on June 7,2018. I had cash and the bank would not accept it as I was not on the account. I had to use mt debit card from my bank and then go to my bank to deposit the cash to cover the payment. as much as  this was inconvenient it was also a learning moment so that I can now share with the readers of this blog the importance of being listed on your parents accounts so that when they pass you can easily navigate the system. I also learned the importance of making sure that your parents have a will so that when they pass you can easily move forward and avoid the probate process. As I drove over to Starbucks to write this blog entry I just kept thinking that it is time to throw the troubles away and to take action to make things simpler and easier in life. It is time to go deep inside and tap into your inner divinity and truly be guided by GOD preparing to take action on the messages that are being sent your way. The key is to understand that you can only control yourself and not the policies and procedures of others. As much as their policies and procedures may affect you you must go with the flow and do the best you can with the tools that GOD has given you so that you can throw your troubles away. It is time to become unchained and face everything and rise.

Spiritual Awakening: Break All The Chains!!!

As you undergo your spiritual awakening you will experience many obstacles in the form of mental chains that have been holding you back from manifesting the life that you desire. Mush of your challenge can be faced by simple breaking the mental chains that are stopping you from thriving by making a connection to a higher power,  whatever you call that power be it  GOD, Jesus, Source, Allyah, Spirit, or another name remember it is your connection that creates a oneness consciousness that then allows you to attract peace, love, joy, and prosperity into your life. When you are disconnected you create the mental chains of anguish that stop you from living a life of purpose that has been predetermined by a higher power. As you begin to break all the chains and praise GOD for all the goodness that GOD has provided you will find yourself creating many opportunities where you will flourish. Many times we keep ourselves mentally chained because we do not see that we are divine children of GOD destined to be great and thus we stay stuck. Well now is the time to break all the chains and go from stuck to unstoppable. Stop listening to doubters, haters, naysayers and instead begin to list to the divine messages that are being delivered and take appropriate action. If you have found that you are doing your best to fit in and it isn’t working remember that you were not put on this earth to fit in you were put on this earth to stand out and to thrive while being of service and value to others.  It is time you eliminate the people and things that are creating mental chains and stopping you from living the life you desire. You have 2 choices you can face everything and rise or you can forget everything and run. I have found it is when you face down a challenge and realize that if GOD brought you to it GOD will bring you through it. It is when you let go and let GOD that you will break the chains of mental bondage and begin to make the mind, body, and soul connection that will lead to personal, professional, and spiritual growth.
It is when we have the desire to break free and take action to leave behind the people and things and sometimes the places that are holding us back that we begin to tap into our inner divinity and as a result we remove the mental chains that in the past and up until now have held us back from creating a life filled with bliss and abundance.  Over the years I have found that by detaching from circumstances and allowing things to flow as GOD has intended that my journey is filled with calmness and happiness.  When we free ourselves from our stinking thinking and our negative self talk we realize that we are powerful beings that none but ourselves can stop. It is when we stand in our power directed by GOD that we become stronger and are able to better serve our community. In breaking away from our own mental chains we help others to break free from their mental chains and as a result we create a world where peace, love, and understanding become the way.

When we make the divine connection and break our mental chains we begin to see that we are free to live the life that GOD has planned for us. So many times we find ourselves listening to others and worrying about what people will think or say about us that we stay slaves mentally chained to limiting beliefs that we never take action and thus we find ourselves living with regret and resentment. Do not allow people to tell you you can not do something because you are capable beyond measure to achieve great things. Now is the time to break your mental chains and to experience the freedom to be divinely guided on your spiritual path and to see where your path will lead by simply believing in a higher power and allowing that higher power to direct you.

Spiritual Awakening: Grooving On A Sunday Afternoon!!!

As I sat down at Starbucks to write this entry I took a quick look around and it was amazing to see all the people simply grooving on a Sunday Afternoon. There was a group playing Rummy O, a guy working on editing his photography, people reading, and others simply enjoying life.  As I absorbed all this great positive energy I began to think how important it is to be spiritually awake and in tube with your inner divinity so as to attract much peace, joy, love, and prosperity into your life. I began to realize that if you want to manifest happiness and abundance into your life you must exude happiness and come from a place of abundance. So many times we get caught up in the things we can not control that we forget to take charge of what we can control and thus we create blockages that get in the way of grooving not only on a Sunday afternoon but everyday. Now the question is how are we going to awaken spiritually and take control of our lives and let GOD be our guide. The answer is to first embrace the fact that you are a divine child of GOD destined for greatness. After that it is important to make a commitment to yourself to take care of yourself so that you can be of service and value to others. Then after you begin to be of service and value start to release that which no longer serves you. As you continue to follow your path guided by GOD  you will see that when you are connected to GOD you will see great things unfold so make it a priority to praise and honor GOD daily so that you can grove everyday and reach your higher calling.

Spiritual Awakening: Tools To Help You Groove Everyday!!!

I have found that The Serenity Prayer, Positive Affirmations, and The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz  to be excellent tools in assuming an attitude that will allow me to be open to grooving daily.

I have learned that music can be a great way to get into the groove and to vibrate on a higher level that attracts people  to you so that you can manifest the life that you desire.

 

Over the years I have discovered that books such as these and others available by following the Hay House Link on this page are excellent tools to help you get into the groove.

Kindness is a trait that when put into action serves as great tool to groove daily.

 Giving praise and glory to GOD is a fantastic tool to help keep you centered, focused, and grounded so that you can groove everyday and live life to the fullest.

 

 Essential oils and incense are excellent tools to use while clearing your mind so as to groove daily.

Meditation has served as an exceptional tool in releasing that which may be stopping you from grooving daily.

Take a moment to walk in nature and create a sacred space where you can go to communicate with GOD, The Ascended Masters, and The Angels so as to receive the guidance that will allow you to grow personally, professionally, and spiritually as you continue to make the mind, body, and soul connection.

Find spiritual places like The Rice Terraces in the Philippines and take a trip without all the accouterments that we have grown accustom to and simply take in the messages as you get connected to source. Sometimes the greatest tool we have is our ability to detach and disconnect from the human life that we have come to know and get in touch with our divinity.

 

When I find it difficult to get into a groove or I find myself stuck I use the tool of reflection to remind me just how good my life has been and I remember times that brought great joy and a sense of accomplishment into my life like the 6 months from July 2002 – February 2003 when I was a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Buang La Union, Philippines. I look at the photo of the church and the arch and I realize how many lives I touched and how the people in this community changed my life and it gets me into a positive frame of mind knowing that I am capable of great things and if I can not do great things to do small things with great love. It is said that photographs and memories are great tools to help you get into the groove.

Spiritual Awakening:Just Say No To Concessions!

Movie Theater Concession Stand Worker Be obtained at us gas on I was at the movies last night (12/1/2015) watching the movie Creed, and I managed to bypass the concession stand as I have committed to eating healthier so as to better make a mind, body, soul connection. As I bypassed the concessions stand I thought about how important it is not to give in and make concessions to others because when we make concessions we drain ourselves personally, professionally, and spiritually. We must commit to bypassing concessions.Just like we know that the processed food and sugars that we would buy from a concession stand compromise us physically and mentally so does making concessions in our personal and professional lives. The idea is to have the mindset of I am doing what is best for me so that I will be in a position to be of service and value to others.  I have found when I become a conscious action taker that my life is more balanced spiritually, personally, and professionally.  I have also learned that if I helping myself and I am getting healthier then I will be able to do more and thus create a oneness consciousness where no one has to make any concessions. Think about how many times you have made a concession and the emotions that resulted. Was there resentment, anger, or jealousy? These are all drains on our spiritual being and also on a drain on our mental and physical well being. The way to combat this is to simply say no to concessions.

The first step to saying no to concessions is to change our mindset. Ask yourself does my decision serve me well, will my decision have a positive effect on my personal and professional life? When you begin to change your thoughts you will change your life. About 3 weeks ago I started working with a personal trainer and he has also guided me to make better food choices. At first I was resistant but when I change my mindset and made a conscious decision to work out and eat healthier things in my life began to change. I have seen that I now feel better about myself and have begun to re-establish my power and thus making it easier to be of service and value to others.

Spiritual Awakening: Keep Going!!!

I remember a day back in 1980 when I was a freshman in high school and was participating in my first swim meet when my coach entered me in the 500 yard freestyle. I knew I could do the 20 lengths of the pool as I had plenty of endurance. I kept reminding myself to just keep going and not to give up. I swam what is considered a slow time of over 8 minutes and when I finished the fans all applauded. I didn’t know if they were applauding that I had finished or that they could move onto the next race. Over the years I would improve and eventually I would be come a top ranked competitive swimmer in the state. Not only did I do long distance my coach would enter me in the 100 yard free style and 200 yard freestyle and I would start to win those races as well as the 500 yard freestyle. When I went to college I swam what it referred to as unattached as the university did not have a swim team yet but had built this great aquatics complex. I share this with you to illustrate just how important it is to keep going. The day I decided not to swim competitively any longer was the day I realized a higher calling and that was to teach swimming. One of my biggest rewards came when one of the younger kids about age 5 who was really afraid of the water said I will go in if Mr. Jon takes me. I took the child into the pool and he clutched me and wouldn’t let go but at least I had him in the water. Over the next 10 days I would work with that child and he would start to hold on to the wall checking that I was with arms reach and then on day 11 he moved his arms and legs and swam from the wall to me about 15 feet away. The summer went on and each day the boy would go a bit further and further. On the final day of camp it was traditional to pick up any tips at the office. There was one tip that stood out it was from the young boys mom and a note that read I don’t have much but I wanted to thank you for giving my son a great summer. The steak I bought that night tasted a bit sweeter knowing that I kept going and as a result made a positive impact on a child. As The Fall Semester began I received a letter from the camp director with a hand written note that said they said not to hire you they were wrong I want you back. I went back the next summer and on the first day of camp there was the little boy from the year before and now he was swimming in the deep end and moving up to next Red Cross Swimming Level. When I saw this a sense of pride came over me. It was then that I realized my calling is to help other people excel.
It has been 28 years since I taught swimming at Hofstra University yet the words of the camp direct Sy Levenger still fuel me as I know there are those that are doubters that  will say what others have said don’t hire him or don’t use his services. I have learned that people will judge and try to hold you back but you will also have lifters and those who believe in you so remove those who no longer serve you and surround yourself with lifters. It is when we decide to keep moving and follow our spiritual calling that we create peace, love, joy, and abundance in our lives. It is when we take action despite the naysayers that we find success. Our human existence often interferes with our spiritual existence because we worry so much about what others will say and so many times what they say affects us. In overcoming this and understanding our own spirituality we can take action to let go and let GOD. We can adopt anthems that keep us going. I have  learned that their will be disappointments but in reality it is not a disappointment it is something happening in GOD’s plan as GOD knows your name and your purpose and will deliver to you all you need in each season of your life. In high school GOD needed me to show others that persistence and hard work pays off. In college GOD needed me to show children that they were capable. As I get older I begin to understand that I am a conduit for GOD to utilize to help others excel as they experience their own spiritual awakening.
