Spiritual Awakening: Day By Day!!!

Much has transpired in the last 35 days since my last blog entry and I am taking things day by day. ON may 3rd my Dad had a bad fall fracturing his t10 in the spine. He called me telling me not to worry but he couldn’t help me with Relay For Life. He was in excruciating pain and went to the hospital where the admitted him and a few days later they did an MRI. It showed the fracture and he elected to have surgery. The surgery went well and he was improving. He was doing so well they moved him to acute rehabilitation. Unfortunately while there he became non-responsive and wasn’t breathing thus he was rushed to the hospital where he was in ICU. It seemed he was on the mend but on June 7, 2018 at 2:00 AM he wasn’t breathing and he was called home to GOD. It has been a challenging couple of days to say the least however with a strong faith in GOD I have been able to take action and move forward by resolving to take things day to day. I have often stated in this blog that if GOD brings us to it GOD will bring us through it.
As I started to reflect on the time spent with my DAD in the last 35 days I realized just how proud he was of me and what I am doing with The American Cancer Society Relay For Life Of Sunrise. On May 4 I participated in The American Cancer Society Relay For Life Of Sunrise and when I spoke to my Dad on May 5 he told me that I was doing great. I have raised $3239 so far. People have asked me what they can do now that my DAD is gone. As I come to grips with my dad’s passing I realize that time is fleeting and we need to cherish every moment that we are given on this earth.
