As I witnessed many of the events unfolding this week I began to see a lot of hate being spewed by so many people and I thought back to a campaign done by The WWE, Rise Above Hate. When we make a conscious decision through our spiritual awakening to rise above and hold a special place for everyone even those who have wronged us we can start an avalanche of positivism that leads to a world filled with peace, love, joy, and prosperity. When we decide to let go of issues and begin to understand that we are more alike than we are different we can rise above by helping people to become better personally, professionally, and spiritually. It is when we decide to take action becoming a vessel filled with hope, compassion, and love that we will shine a bright light and illuminate the world.
Yesterday was The International Day of Peace. I believe peace day should be every day and we should do everything that we can to preserve the sanctity of life. We should make it a point everyday to rise above all challenges that are blocking us from becoming peaceful and compassionate beings. We should be looking for ways to be of service and value to others daily. Each day in order to rise above we should be looking for ways to be kind to one another. Each day is an opportunity to grow and make a positive difference in our lives and in the lives of others. I suggest that we begin to focus on the positive and to begin to encourage people to assume an attitude of gratitude. If we are truly going to rise above we need to start with being grateful.
As you awaken spiritually you begin to see that living life as a spiritual warrior is what your were meant to do so as to shine a light that will illuminate the world. In becoming a peaceful warrior whose actions are filled with love and compassion you grow personally, professionally, and spiritually. In understanding the idea that you must stand for something or you will fall for anything you begin to strengthen your ability to make a mind, body, soul connection. In taking action to be a spiritual warrior you set things in motion that will attract peace, love, joy, and prosperity into your life. In becoming a spiritual warrior and living like a warrior you start to see that the outcomes you are getting in life are related to the energy you are bringing to the tasks you are performing.
Mother Teresa once said if you can not do great things do small things with great love. Mother Teresa was a spiritual warrior who impacted many lives and taught us many lessons of love and compassion. Mother Teresa taught us that each day we can start over and light a fire that will burn bright to light a path for others to walk so that peace, love, and understanding become the way of the day. It is important that we light the flames of hope of healing and keep them burning by becoming peaceful spiritual warriors who share peace, love, joy, and prosperity with others.
Spiritual Awakening: Clearing The Hurdles Of Life!!!
As you experience a spiritual awakening you will find that their are many hurdles that you will be challenged to clear to manifest the results you desire. In some cases you will find that not everyone will support you and some will go to extremes to try to defeat you. When you begin to take action and live a life filled with passion and purpose you will encounter many people who will not agree with you or your methodology. Such was the case this week when someone who professes to be a professional wrote me a hateful and wrote a response filled with anger. I called to see what I could do to rectify the situation and was called an asshole, an idiot, told no one gives a shit about what I have to say, and to go f-myself. I told the gentleman that I am sorry he feels this way and and that I will happily remove him from my contact list. I started to think why do people act this way and then I realized that it is GOD’S way to send a message and teach a lesson. In this case GOD was telling me to find another way to solicit donations for The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Boca Raton and to find people who resonate with my message. In taking action and reaching out to everyone I must remember that is is not my job to bring people kicking and screaming on to the path but to shine my light bright for them to see by being of service and value so that when they are ready to change and create a life that is enhanced personally, professionally, and spiritually that I am there to be a shining beacon of light to help illuminate the world.
The man did create a hurdle as my LinkedIn account has been restricted. As I write this entry the restriction is under appeal. As I took a moment to breathe an meditate on the situation I realized how important it is to remember that some will, some won’t, so what, some waiting, next because for every negative person that I encounter I find 8-9 that are open to assist with my endeavors. All my life I have been given hurdles and each time I have cleared them understanding that if GOD brought me to it GOD will bring me through it. In getting back to Don Miguel Ruiz’s Four Agreements and implementing them I have been able to move forward and exceed my goals.
By going deep inside and then applying these agreements I have been able to secure a part time job that frees me up to do volunteer work, to obtain guests for my TV Show, The Anything Bucket, which airs on www.wrpbitv.com on Tuesday at 6:30 PM EDT, and to continue to be of service and value to others. Theses 4 agreements have helped me to be centered, grounded, and focused as I move forward in a positive direction of my dreams.

I have found that songs like this are a great tool to help you overcome life’s hurdles. It is knowing that GOD loves you and that you are a divine child of GOD that will serve as your best tool to overcome life’s hurdle’s.
As I went into my local TD Bank to do my personal banking an opportunity to support The Special Olympics came about as the bank was selling candy to benefit The Special Olympics. As part of the spiritual awakening process supporting charitable causes plays a major role in expanding our own spirituality as the giving allows channels to be open to receive. As I left the bank I thought how each time you give it is like scoring a Touchdown for life. As I drove to my next destination, the local Starbucks, I thanked GOD for the opportunity to pay it forward and make a positive impact. I arrived at Starbucks and the table I usually use was occupied however the young lady at the table allowed me to share half the table and thus scored her own touchdown for life. As I sat down all I could think of was Touchdown Jesus. The original Touchdown Jesus is illustrated in the 1st two photos which are of Touchdown Jesus at Notre Dame Stadium. The other picture is affectionately called Touchdown Jesus by parishioners of that church. The question now is how will you score a touchdown for life?

The Word of Life Mural (“Touchdown Jesus” to you and me!) celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2013. In April it was lit with pink lights in support of those who’ve battled and are battling with cancer as the annual Relay for Life took place nearby in the Compton Family Ice Arena. Notre dame University scored a Touch Down For Life as they helped those affected by cancer and joined 1,000’s of others who participated in Relay For Life across the world. In getting involved with a charitable cause you score a touchdown for life while also expanding your spirituality and creating a oneness consciousness that allows you to be in alignment with your divinity.
Spiritual Awakening: Miami Dolphins Need A Dose Of Spirituality!!!
Since moving to South Florida in 1972 and having Earl Moral as my youth optimist football coach I have been a fan of The Miami Dolphins. In a brutal sport like football it is very difficult to carry your spirituality onto the field of play. The events of the recent week between Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognito has brought to light for all players to awaken spiritually. When a player has a spiritual awakening they begin to realize that they are connected to the team and thus they have a responsibility to recognize the divine in each other despite the fact that they play a violent game where the objective is to knock your opponent off the ball and score or to stop your opponent from scoring. Today a dose of spirituality is needed for the Miami Dolphins so they can regroup and come together as a cohesive unit and put a winning effort forward.
Right now The Dolphins are far away from the glory days that had them winning Super Bowls and consistently in the playoffs. The teams of the 70’s and early 80’s had what is called chemistry. I like to call it a spiritual connection where they understand that everyone was divinely connected and when they worked in unison and came together as one they won. There was something special about the teams of Griese, Czonka, Warfield, Morris, Kick, Scott, Anderson, and Bonocotti. Those teams seemed to respect each other and knew that they were all part of something bigger than football. Today’s players seem to care only about themselves as illustrated by the recent incident between Incognito and Martin. Many have said but that is the culture of The NFL. I say it is time to change this culture as it is leading to many issues and make players understand that their actions are now magnified in the press and that it is time to make a mind, body, soul connection and start to lift each other up to excel as a team. An awakening is definitely in order as these players have been given a calling that is much larger than football.
Today as I was working in the club room at my clubhouse is Sunrise, FL a worker from our complex cam in and he was wearing a Christmas Hat and jingle bells. I commented how I liked his Christmas Spirit and he replied thanks just doing my part to spread some joy. I thought for a moment and thought he is walking in spirit. I thne began to think how can we all walk in spirit and show the 7 fruits of spirit through our actions and then I thought simply by allowing ourselves a moment to be grateful for what we have and having the ability to share with others. Today answer the question of what am I grateful for and how will help others. You will see that soon you are walking in spirit and your entire outlook will change.

Spiritual Awakening: Removing The Shackles and Finding Your Freedom
As I sat in the audience at The Women of Faith Conference in Sunrise, FL listening to Mandisa sing her version of this song that was originally done by Mary Mary I kept thinking how many people are being shackled by their choices and haven’t found their freedom. Then I thought how can I help you break the shackles and find your freedom and the answer was to share this blog entry with you. Mandisa gave a very moving testimony that showed those in attendance that regardless of the current circumstances you can break free and remove the shackles that may be holding you back. As she shared her story about bing eating I thought wow I have been there. When she shared that once she began loving herself and realized she was loved her life began to shift and her path became clearer and today her message is being shared with people worldwide. I encourage you to begin each morning with some type of ritual that will help you to remove any shackles that are holding you back.

It is when we truly break out of the shackles and realize we have a power inside of us that is given to us by the divine taht we truly find freedom. Spiritual Awakening: Tools to Break The Shackles And Find Your Freedom
For those that read this blog on a regular basis you know I am a big proponet of books and implementing what you have learned from the books. At Women of Faith I had the opportunity to hear Sandi Patty perform her music and give her testimonial. Her books and music will help you break the shackles and to discover your freedom. Brenda Warner was also there, though I didn’t hear her speak her story is motivational and inspiring. Brenda is married to Kurt Warner, whose story of going from a stock boy to a Superbowl MVP is amazing.
I have often mentioned that the use of humor or comedy is a great tool to help break free. I had the opportunity to hear Mark Lowry at Women of Faith and you have to see him to fully understand his message.
Mark Lowry also has a serious side as evidenced by his son Mary Did You Know. When I saw him sing this on Friday 10/26/12 at Women of Faith I teared up.
As you continue to remove the shackles and find your freedom you will discover quotes and affirmations that will help you on your path.

There is something very spiritual for me about being in a press box and being the public address announcer for a football game. It is like the universe telling me this is your calling to bring joy to others through the use of your God given gift of an announcer voice. From the moment I walk into a stadium until the time I leave I feel a sense of joy come over my body and a feeling of gratitude in my mind, and my soul is nourished with the knowledge that my efforts are making others happy. As I left the field today (8/25/12) as the Lauderhill Broncos Games were cancelled due to tropical storm Issac I looked to the heavens and asked God for guidance and he guided me right to A Starbucks and sent the message to write this blog. As I began to write the blog all that I needed started to appear in front of me through searches and I realized that the cancellation of The Lauderhill Broncos games was a blessing as God had other plans for me today.
Riley Nelson may not be a be a big name star but to those he served in Barcelona on a mission trip he is a hero. Riley Nelson is now a senior at BYU and I know I will be following him this season.
I choose BYU because of their honor code and the fact that many of their players do a mission trip of 2 years. I applaud any player that makes the commitment that BYU asks them to make as they are spreading their beliefs and helping others to come to a spiritual path by seeking salvation in the lord. BYU’s mission statement is “To assist individuals in their quest for perfection and eternal life. That assistance should provide a period of intensive learning in a stimulating setting where a commitment to excellence is expected and the full realization of human potential is pursued.” While it is strongly encouraged that nineteen year-old Mormon men and 21 year old women serve a mission, it is not mandatory.
