Spiritual Awakening: The Circle Of Life

As I listened to the song Circle of Life from the movie, The Lion King, I was reminded about some of the occurances over the last several weeks, which have reminded me to cherish each moment and to enhance people’s lives by simply being a positive force for them to turn to. The last 4 weeks have been a true awakening with the passing of Kathy Dedek, my mother, and  the mudslide that took Dr. Lynn Migdal’s home in British Columbia along with her ex-husband passing as a result, her two daughters are still missing and we hold out hope that they will be found alive.

As I sat and questioned GOD the answer came as it is the circle of life.  As I began to meditate on this I began to realize that we come into this world as dust and we leave this earth as dust. The circle of life is an easy concept to grasp however the questions many as we live our lives as spiritual beings having a human experience. Many times it just takes a moment of introspection to understand  how we are all intertwined in the universe and that the circle of life does not end in the passing of  someone it continues for them in the spiritual world, where they can be of service to those left behind.  The signs that I have seen in the last 10 days since my mother’s passing have shown me that she is okay and doing things from the other side. Her legacy of sharing and caring liveson in my deeds an each day I find a way to hold a sacred space for her in my mind and my heart. She may not be with me physicallly, however the signs that I have encountered truly show me that she is looking out for me.

Spiritual Awakening: Are You Making Every Moment Count?

 This post was inspired by the passing of Kathy Dedek, who touched many lives and always had an encouraging word for those she came in contact with. She was called home to GOD on June 23, 2012 from the complications of a brain aneurism. Kathy taught us all how to make the moments count. I dedicate this entry to the memory of Kathy Dedek.

Spiritual Awakening: Are You Making Every Moment Count?

I watched the NBA Finals and witnessed Coach Solstra of The Miami Heat answer a question of you are 12 minutes away from a championship with “We need to stay in the moment.”  Then came the news of Kathy Dedek’s passing and I thought how quick the moments come and go. I then asked myself are you making every moment count? The answer was yes as I begin the day with a gratitude prayer, then I read from Rev. Dr. Dee Adio Moses book, Oneness Consciousness, then I read a passage from Mary Morrissey’s book The Miracle Minute, and then choose a random Bible Verse, then I put on Janet Lee Kraft’s CD and get ready for the day knowing that I am centered and grounded.

 It is when we are focused on the moment and not the past nor the future that we achieve the greatest results

Spiritual Awakening: What is Your Vision

One of the first things we must answer in becoming self aware is what is my vision? On 3/30/12 I was fortunate enough to attend The Vision Quest 2012 Conference hosted by Allow Your Vision To Soar.  As I listened to Kimberly West speak and tell her story and share this wonderful insight ” Every dark experience you have encountered in your life only means one thing! There is something so much brighter  just waiting for you to see,”I began to realize all the pent up supressed activities of the past were not serving me and through out the day I began to release them and let go. I steeped out of my comfort zone a bit and participate did a breakthrough facilitated by Dr. Melissa Anderson, The Quantum Catalyst, who placed a arrow to my neck and had me walk forward through my fear and I shattered the arrow. I kept the  arrow and have plans to make an art piece out of it with a message about overcoming fears. I began to write down notes and defined one of my visions and that is to positively touch and impact  lives of those affected by cancer. As I delved into this vision I realized that I am doing this daily through my work with Relay for Life and sharing 1-800=acs-2345 with people. As the day unfolded I realized that we all have a vsion and sometimes it takes some work to realize that vision. There were many highlights that helped me to set my vision in motion.On of which was watching and hearing Amy Barbera Sing.
