Spiritual Awakening: Going The Distance!!!

      Today I turn back the clock to the 1994-1995 year of The Florida Jaycees. For those not familiar with The Jaycees they are a leadership training organization that provides people ages 18-40 an opportunity to grow personally and professionally through community service. I joined the organization in 1988 and in 1994 I decided that I would compete in The Armbruster Competition which was a resume and interview competition for members that have been involved for over 2 years based on contributions made to the organization. The competition was based on the areas of Individual Development, Community Service, Membership Recruitment, and Management Development. The competition started on a chapter level then you could advance to to the district level, the regional level, and the state level. The competitions were held quarterly with the final quarterly state winner advancing to nationals. My 1st competition went well I made it to state but did not make the call backs. A bit discouraged I went home and looked at the judges sheets and saw where I needed improvement and worked towards becoming better. I continued to compete and in May of 1995 of 1995 I won The State Competition to advance to Nationals. At Nationals I made the call backs and in the call back room stated they give out 5 awards and I am taking home one of them so the rest of you can battle for the other 4. I went on to be one of the top 5 winners and that is when I realized that I was having a spiritual awakening as I was finding my purpose which is to be of service and value to others.

 

It was at that moment in 1995 standing on the stage and looking out to the crowd that I realized how important it is to go the distance and to simply realize that if GOD brought you to it GOD will bring you through it. IT was then that I made a conscious decision to put the doubters, the haters, and naysayers aside and to go the distance to continue to make a positive impact on people that I come in contact with while on my spiritual journey. Since 1995 I have made a great effort to show the world that service to humanity is the best work of life. I have continued to awaken spiritually learning ways to improve my personal, professional, and spiritual life. Each step that I have taken I have reminded myself to go the distance. As I continue on my path I realize that there will those who may not resonate with my message however those that are meant to hear it and are destined to be drawn to me will be enlightened. I have come to subscribe to the concept that some will, some won’t, some waiting, so what, next as I have offered advice to people only to be told I don’t need your help or who are you to tell me what to do. I simply pray for those people and move on to those who are more receptive. I have also learned to go where you are celebrated instead of tolerated. I have also learned that GOD, The Angels, The Ascended Masters, and Jesus will provide the resources necessary to go the distance by allowing you to step into your power and achieving the greatness that is your birthright.

If you are to go the distance you must take the steps to fly and soar so that you can move forward in a positive direction of your goals. Each day gives you a new opportunity to get closer to being the best version of yourself that you can be. It is through making a mind, body, and soul connection that you will become stronger thus enabling you to go the distance. It is up to yo to become a person in the arena so that you can attract peace, love, joy, and prosperity into your life. Now is your time to take action and to go the distance.

NOW IS THE TIME TO TAKE STEPS TO GO THE DISTANCE

Theodore Roosevelt once said it is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer
of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose
face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and
again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the
deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at
the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails
while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.

      It your season to move forward and to commit to going the distance by taping into your inner divinity so that you can face everything and rise. Your journey starts with the first step and continues while you work toward going the distance. It is your time to experience bliss and abundance and to understand that all things are possible through Christ who strengthens you. Namaste!!!

Spiritual Awakening: Gotta Keep On Moving!!!!

As I write this it has been 8 months since the passing of my DAD and I am struggling financially as I have not had steady work for nearly a year. I have worked some announcing gigs and have managed as I had a savings account but I have depleted that and now find myself at a crossroads. I have found my spiritually being tested and at times have wanted to quit but I knew I had to keep on moving as there are people who will help me by visiting www.paypal.me/jdogg8265 and making a love donation. I am trying many things to get into a better financial position however it seems as though just when things seem to be improving a set back occurs. This was the case on Sunday 3/10/2019 when I was on my way to an awards banquet and my car was run into by a pedestrian and when I asked if he wanted me to call EMS he ran away. My car now has a nice dent in it and I don’t have the money to fix it. I have had 3 months with virtually no income so I turned to GOD and asked for his guidance. I received the message to keep on moving and that people will be presented to help you. Ideally finding people to use my services as a PA Announcer, Emcee, and Voice Over Talent would be be great. I have been applying for many jobs as I have a very diverse skill set that GOD has given to me. I started to look back on all that has happened and I have realized that if I am to prosper I need to take action and continue to move forward in a positive direction toward my goals.

As tough as things seem as I deal with high blood pressure, hypertension, Type II Diabetes, a sports hernia, and the stress of not know where my next dollar will come from I take solace in knowing that GOD only gives you what GOD thinks you can handle. With all that is happening in my personal, professional, and spiritual life I am heeding the message from GOD to keep moving. I have come to understand that I need to get back to the pillars of spirituality and come from a position of gratitude. I need to become a man in motion and be driven by the messages from GOD, Jesus, The Ascended Masters, and The Angels.

I have come to realize that I need to surround myself with action takers who will lift me up and help me in my time of need. I have come to understand that if GOD brought me to it GOD will bring me through it. In asking for help by posting on social media I am hoping that people will see my pleas for help and write a check or money order payable to Jonathan Lederman and send it to 9141 Sunrise Lakes Boulevard #102, Sunrise, FL 33322. I thank all those who have already helped. It is time to lay it on the line and keep moving. I am grateful for those who have reached out and checked on me as I am having a tough time. I have begun to put myself out there and share my challenges in hopes that people will see me moving and going forward and be inspired and empowered to continue to move forward in their personal, professional, and spiritual life.

As I look back over the last 7 years and all I have faced I have come to understand that I must be focused and balanced so that I can move forward. It is scary to face the fact that you may loose everything but sometimes in loosing everything you gain more of what GOD has intended for you and your life becomes better because you kept on moving forward. I have tried things that I thought would be financially successful only to find that I need to change the way I approach projects and how I share with others if I am to move forward.

It is time to move forward and praise GOD by being grateful for what I have and not wanting what I don’t have. It is my hope that I will break the shackles that have been blocking me from being in a better financial position so that I can move forward while being of service and value to others. I share my story of challenge so that others will see that they are not alone and that there is help to allow you to move forward and create a better life for yourself. Namaste!!!

Spiritual Awakening: Shut Up And Deal!!!

As I left The Relay Rally to benefit The 2018 American Cancer Society Relay For Life Of Sunrise last night (1/30/2018) I was a bit disappointed as only 1 team out of the 16 that were registered came out and no one that I had invited showed up. I was feeling pretty down because I had put in many hours to promote the event and even had the Mayor Of Sunrise issue a Proclamation. As I reflected on this disappointment I sat in meditation and received a message to shut up and deal. As an  action taker I have learned that you must detach from the outcomes and continue to walk in your truth knowing that you can not control the actions of others. As I began to focus on the good things that happened like a team captain getting a nice recognition gift and a cancer survivor winning The Relay Sneakers I the disappointment started to melt like the polar ice caps and my heart started to fill with elation knowing that there are people who care so I decided to shut up and deal.
As I decided to shut up and deal I quickly regained the eye of tiger and remembered why I was doing Relay For Life. I was able to rekindle a spark inside and walk in my truth understanding that all I could do was give 100% and continue to follow my heart making a mind, body, soul connection. In focusing on the successes and getting back to being focused and grounded I have been able to shut up and deal. As you put yourself out there you will encounter some set backs but you must shut up and deal and learn from the setbacks so you can step up.

When you decide to shut up and deal and peel back the onion you will find that you rise up to heights that you never though that you could reach. In the wake of disappointment I was able to shift and find elation knowing that for in my 19 years of being involved in Relay For Life that I made a positive impact on the lives of those touched by cancer. There have been more moments of joy than moments of disappointment. When disappointments occurred I simply reflected and then let them go as I knew there would come more joy than sadness.
I have found the best way to overcome disappointment and shut up and deal is to simply walk alone and tap into your inner divinity understanding that you are a divine child of GOD and GOD’S plans for you are far greater than the plans you have for yourself. In walking alone and clearing out the disappointment you release blockages and thus you can move forward by focusing on lies ahead of you and not what lies behind you.
The key to overcoming disappointment and to shut up and deal is to commit to staying on your spiritual path and walking in your truth understanding that not everyone will share your passion and that your ways of doing things may not resonate with everyone. In being true to who you are and following the messages from GOD, The Ascended Masters, The Angels, and Jesus you will find that disappointment is fleeting. In committing to move forward you will find that you begin to attract peace, love, joy, and prosperity into your life.
In the course of the day the best laid plans of mice and men will go astray and when that happens you have to simply roll with the flow. I have come to understand that the way things are and the way things should be are two different things. As I arrived to The ACSOffice Today(1/31/2018) to drop off money for The 2018 American Cancer Society Relay For Life Of Sunrise there was a note that the office would be closed. I was a bit upset as I had informed the staff partner that I would be coming today and didn’t get word from him that the office would be closed. At first I was upset then I decided to go with the flow and come back to the office tomorrow (2/1/2018). I have come to realize that I can only control what I do and to shut up and deal by rolling with the flow. In going with the flow I have been able to put disappointment behind me and move forward in a positive direction of my dreams. There will be times that challenge you but remember that it is through overcoming challenges that you become stronger and thus you are able to accomplish great things. Spiritual Awakening: The World Is Calling!!!

 

 Today’s entry was inspired by a U.S. Peace Corps commercial that I found today. As A returned U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer I can truly tell you that there is something very spiritual about being of service and value in this way. I remember when I filled out the paper work to become a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer and gaining a great insight into my spiritual awakening. For many years I have recited The Jaycees Creed and the second line That The Brotherhood Of Man Transcends The Sovereignty Of Nations  always resonated with me. Now was the time to take this belief and put it into action by becoming a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer.  The paper work was completed and checked and I realized that this was another message from GOD telling me The World Is Calling and It Is Time To Shine Your Light. I took that message and continued on my spiritual journey which would take me to The Philippines for 6 months. In those 6 months I found out more about my inner core than I ever expected. I found myself meditating daily, walking the beach, spread love wherever I went, and looking for ways to be of service and value. In those 6 months I further understood my calling from GOD which was to help other people excel. Each day in The Philippines was a day that led to change and when I returned to The United States in February 2003 I was definitely a changed person with a new found appreciation for that which I had.

 

Spiritual Awakening: Answering The Call!!!

 

 How many times do we allow our human existence to interfere with our spiritual existence and are left questioning ourselves? It is very important after you have a spiritual awakening and  commit to being on a spiritual journey that you answer the call from GOD.  It is said that if GOD brings you to it GOD will bring you through it. GOD will give you a call to answer and it is up to you to answer that call and not let it go to voice mail. As yourself how has GOD called you? Has GOD directed you to be involved in the community? Has GOD called you to use your talents for good? Look around and see the messages that GOD is sending you and act upon them. GOD will give you the tools and allow you to explore what is needed to make you the best person you can be. Many times it will be the same message showing up over and over again. The message from GOD to me over the last month that has been reoccurring was to become organized and plan out my days so that I can move forward with his plan for me, which is to be a beacon of hope for others and to help them excel.  I have learned that when you go as GOD directs you and you glorify him everything will work out. I was reflecting in mediation when I realized all the synchronicities that have occurred in my life and how they were all related to my connection to GOD.

Spiritual Awakening: Turning The Page!!!!

 As I turned the calendar to represent the beginning of a new month I looked back to the time when I had my first spiritual awakening and I begin to understand that each day we have a chance to turn the page. We have the opportunity to become an action taker and release all that no longer serves us as we awaken spiritually. In the spiritual awakening process turning the page is essential as it allows for personal and professional growth. A coach of mine Shantel Smith has taught me through my own spiritual awakening to go to places where I am appreciated not tolerated. In turning the page I have severed a few ties that do not serve me in my quest to expand personally, professionally, or spiritually. In desiring to make a mi, body, soul connection I have learned that each day is a chance to have a spiritual awakening and to turn the page.  In turning the page and being honest with yourself you begin to awaken spiritually and thus step into your power. In turning the page and making a conscious decision to live for the day you begin to find the inner joy and inner peace that you have been seeking.  In turning the page and putting the past behind you you find a freedom to move  forward. As you move forward and let the past go you begin to come alive and understand that it is your life to live and that you are guided by GOD thus you begin to experience goodness.

Spiritual Awakening: Keep On Moving!!!

 Today’s blog post is dedicated to all those who have been affected by the bombings that occurred today at The Boston Marathon. I encourage everyone to pray for all those in your life as you continue to move forward on your path to spiritual awakening. As I was looking for something to  include in this entry I remembered the Matthew Wilder song Nothing’s Gonna Break My Stride and thought how great it would be if we all adopted this philosophy and began to help one another to move forward in a positive direction.

 As the gruesome scenes came across the TV all I could think of why do people choose to use their power for bad as opposed for good? This is an age old question like why do bad things happen to good people?  Perhaps this is a sign that those of us who are spiritually awake to awaken others by shining our light as brightly as we can for others to see and follow.  I have come to the conclusion that we resist will persist be it terrorist acts, be it lack of funds,  be it the lost feeling of community, or being against something. Today’s events in Boston once again set to polarize terrorism because it creates the news cycle that the media craves to boost their ratings. What about a month from now? Now is the time to wake up people and think what can I do to make coexistence a reality in our society? What can I do to make a difference in my community? What can I do to shine my light? There is evil lurking in our society and in order for this evil to be stopped we must all realize that we are brothers and sisters as well as being divine children of GOD. We must keep moving forward to be the lifters that our society seeks today. Instead of pointing fingers and blaming others let us look deep inside and decide to be part of a kinder world where people respect each others views and don’t blow each other up.
