Spiritual Awakening: Creating A Beautiful Life!!!

 

 As I sat in my local Starbucks preparing to write this entry I cam across this song by Mercy Me and it inspired me to write this entry to help my readers to create a beautiful life. When you experience a spiritual awakening you begin to see everything differently. You begin to realize that you have the power and ability to create a beautiful life. You become awake and you begin to take action and that action leads to the realization that you have a beautiful life. You start to embrace anthems for yourself and this keeps you centered and grounded as you create a beautiful life. This spiritual awakening puts into motion the resources you seek to love yourself and shine your light. It is when you commit to creating a beautiful life that you begin to attract beautiful things into your life. It as like Dr. Wayne Dyer says “When you change your thoughts you change your life.” It is when you shift to be appreciative and grateful that you begin to create a beautiful life.  You can read all the books and attend many seminars, however if you are to create a beautiful life you must apply what you have read and what you have learned.

 Mike’s Chair reminds us to stop and appreciate what we have as a beautiful life is unfolding right before us and if we take a moment we can create a better life for ourselves and others. If we answer our calling and find our purpose and shine our light we create a beautiful life for ourselves and others. When we share our message or take a moment to share with someone we not only touch their life but we also improve ours. It is in the creation of our beautiful life that we give others permission to create their beautiful life.

Spiritual Awakening: Doing It Your Way!!!

 

 Today’s entry was inspired by Frank Sinatra’s song I Did It My Way. As I listened to the lyrics I began to think of spiritual awakening and how each person comes to their own awakening in their own way. I have become an action taker as that is my way and I find that when I take action I feel better and enhance the mind, body, soul connection. We are all unique individuals with our own way of doing something. I believe that you can do what works for you as long as it doesn’t harm anyone.  In finding our way we may turn to resources such as movies and books like The Peaceful Warrior that teaches that we can
win our internal battle by embracing our divinity:

 By internalizing these quotes and taking action we can answer our calling and affect change in our lives and thus enhance the lives of others. It is when you come alive on the inside and embrace your divinity that you become your authentic self and find your purpose. In finding your purpose you can step into your power and being more comfortable in doing it your way.

Spiritual Awakening: The Sounds of Silence!!!!

  When I saw Susy Foltz’s post on face book about the word listen having the same letters as silence I immediately thought of The Simon and Garfunkel song, Sounds and Silence and that inspired me to write this post as our answers are found in silence. When was the last time to shut everything off and sat in silence just listening to the surroundings around you?  It is when we shut off the exterior things in our life that we are able to find the answers in our own interior. No outside source can provide you the depth that you are seeking that comes from the divinity that you hold inside yourself. It is when you set aside what I call me time to meditate and breathe that you can sort all types of issues out and become centered and grounded while you continue to focus on the purpose you have discovered you have through your spiritual awakening.

 After a seminar I taught today (6/11/13) a few participants asked me what I do to get centered and balanced and I showed them that I stand with my feet at shoulder width, my hands open and I say “I am a focused, strong, driven divine child of GOD who releases that which does not serve him.” and then I simply breathe and repeat that phrase. They tried it and said wow what a great tool to have. This tool came to me through source when I asked for something to help me deal with tough situations. It came to me in a silent moment of seeking. Imagine if you did this before each interaction you were going to have how your results might change.  Today make it a point to find a place to hear the sounds of silence.

  As the time ticked down to zero last night (6/8/13) and The Miami Fury Women’s Tackle Football Team finished their season undefeated one thought came into my mind Celebrate Life! Celebrate the fact that you were part of something special as the pubic address announcer. As I awoke this morning (6/9/13) I looked out the window and saw it was a nice sun shining day in Sunrise, FL again my thought was to celebrate life. As I was thinking about what to write to help those who have had a spiritual awakening and to assist those who are seeking a spiritual awakening message from source was clear to write about celebrating life.

Spiritual Awakening: Opening The Inspirational Funnel!!!

 As I emceed The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Coral Springs I witnessed many opportunities that opened up the inspirational funnel. This particular moment was when Kids of Love honored Aaron who was celebrating his 6th birthday. Aaron is a cancer survivor and when he took the microphone and said “Hello, I love you,” to the crowd you could feel the inspiration that he exuded. Through out the night seeing his smile and all the survivors kept the participants inspired to keep walking as they celebrated those who have survived cancer, remembered those lost to cancer, and fought back by raising funds for research, education, advocacy, and services.  As of Saturday morning over $129,000 was raised.

 Through out Relay For Life there were many times that the inspirational funnel was opened. Just after The  Luminaria  Ceremony, where candles are lit in honor or memory of those affected by cancer a family arrived at Relay For Life. They were on the way back to their hotel to rest and make funeral arrangements as their mom had passed at 10:05 PM that evening. They saw The Relay as they were driving by and they stopped by to see if they could purchase a luminaria in their mom’s honor. The answer was don’t worry about a donation we will be happy to help you remember your mom. They were brought to the stage where DJ Willie told their story. They walked down the stairs and everyone that was at Relay joined in a lap with them. We stopped close to the start/finish line where I had everyone make a circle and I led a prayer for the family. The family thanked us and continued to walk for a while. I kept thinking if this doesn’t open up a funnel of motivation what do you need? At that point I walked over to the luminaria bag I had purchased, with the money collected at my pool area, to remember my mom and I sat on the track and realized my mom’s presence and a sense of pride for doing what I was doing while motivating others to take action to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.

Spiritual Awakening: What The F Are You Waiting For?

 

 As I listened to Reach FM, a Christian Music Station, today I heard this song and decided to ask the harsh question of What The F Are You Waiting For? I have begun to ask this question more often to those who say I would like to ( Fill In The Blank). I ask this for I know it is when you take action that things start to unfold and the universe begins to deliver the resources needed to bring your desires to life. How many times have you missed out or not started something because of the excuses you made or you didn’t truly believe in your heart that you were able to accomplish great things. What has been holding you back from getting in touch with your spirituality and your greatness. One of the first blog entries here is titled Stepping Into Your Power in which I encouraged people to take charge and begin whatever they have been waiting to do. Here it is 16 months later and I can not tell you how many people still haven’t taken action to do what they have said they want to do, to them I ask What The F Are You Waiting For?

 How many times has someone said I’ll do it tomorrow and then you hear about that person dying and not finishing a project or in many cases not even starting the project. I recently heard a gentleman, Cliff Townsend, A Mind Set Coach speak and one of the quotes he used in his presentation really stood out about where the wealthiest place on earth is and it isn’t the oil fields of Saudi Arabia, The World Banks, The Mall, or Affluent Communities, it is the local cemetery. The cemetery is filled with many unbirthed inventions, art, music, businesses, and other projects because many people there kept waiting until tomorrow. So again I ask you What The F Are You Waiting For?

Spiritual Awakening: Beatles Deliver Message of Hope!!!

 As I watched the gloom and doom of the news this past weekend I turned  inward and began to think that as bad as the media is portraying certain events things are actually getting better. I visited www.happyherald.com to find positive upbeat news and excellent advice columns. As I read the positive stories it reaffirmed my idea that things are getting better. I then began to watch Minute With Maxwell videos done by John Maxwell and as I watched these videos I realized that it is up to ne as an individual to enhance my personal and professional life to make things better.  I then began to read about action takers like Leslie Bruce and Karen Binnette Goldberg Raport of Feel The Hugs and their mission through www.feelthehugs.com. Then the phone rang and it was Shanta Tanksley from www.labonitakidz.com sharing good news about the magazine. Then I went back into Starbucks and I witnessed a random act of senseless kindness when a gentleman in line bought the women in front of him a coffee. The ideea is that things are getting better.

 Across ouir universe we are all divinely connected and when we recognize each others divineness we being to sow our good and make things better. There are many ways to make things better:

1:     Rick Figley and Stacy Sossner taught me this amazing pricincipal and I thought using it to greet people or say goodbye to people would be a great thing as it resets many situations and allows for people to move forward in a positive direction. I recommend that as you go through the day to share this greeting or salutations and then recognize how the environment around you changes.

Spiritual Awakening: Bob Dylan Sparks Change!!!!

Inspired by Bob Dylan’s songs Times They Are Changing and The Answer is Blowing in the Wind while  I sat at Starbucks in Plantation, FL I got up took a walk outside and realized just how things are changing and that stepping outside to listen to nature and slow down for a moment how clear the answers come through.  I asked a question about affecting change and then I sat down to receive the answer and it came with several messages like write about it, make a change in your life, and then spark others to change.  Bob Dylan influenced many to make positive changes and recognized that change is always occurring around us and that the answers are also all around us. When you make a positive change in your life such as eliminating negative people and your own negative thoughts you begin to see things in a better light and then the answers you are seeking become clearer. Sometimes making a change is hard as you feel you are doing the right thing when in reality you are holding yourself back and thus need a spark for change. What or who is sparking a change in you?

Spiritual Awakening: Zig Ziglar Leaves Legacy of Inspiration

     

It was abou 10 AM on 11/28/12 when the news came across the wire that Zig Ziglar, The Great Motivator, made his transition at age 86. His lessons will live on for many years as they have been written and recorded and they will resonate as they make sense. Think about the first quote as it shows us that we can be great if we get started. The 2nd quote is so very true as the law of reciprocity is true. The idea of being motivated everyday is importnat as it propels us to success. As I reflected on Zig Ziglar’s teachings I began to think about the idea of being inspired and inspiring others.

     On way to inspire others is to do good deeds. By helping others you begin to find yourself  as you find a joy in the knowledge that your act of love and kindness enhanced someome’s life. One of the good deeds that I do each year is particpiate and emcee The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of West Boca Raton. It is my hope to inspire people to support this effort and have them visit http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogglederman and make a donation.  The good deeds we do will last long after we are gone. I have  asked in past entries what will your legacy be?  Zig Ziglar’s legacy was one of hope and inspiration.

         Self discovery is a great way to find your talents to use to be inspired and to inspire others. If you have a great smile share it and see what happens. It is when you begin to be your authentic self that you are able to enhance your life and then enhance others. Write down I am Great, I make a difference in my life and other’s lives, I give and receive, I shine a light wherever I go and begin to internalize these thoughts and watch your greatness come through.

Spiritual Awakening: Peace Comes From The Inside

 As I sat down at my Starbuck’s in Plantation I asked the universe to guide me and help me with a topic for today’s entry. I put my feet flat on the floor, sat straight up with my palms up, I was ready to receive the message and then on you tube I found this song and I received the message, write about peace, so here it is today’s entry Peace Comes From The Inside.

I invite everyone to get on the peace train and put differences aside, check egos and judgements at the door and realize that we are are all one. On October 24 we marked Global Oneness Day. This day was about peace, love, and happiness recognizing that we are all connected. I spent the day finding people to share spirituality with and while attending the singles party I connected witha  few people who understood the concept of peace and namaste and we had a great time sharing.

It is when we find that peaceful easy feeling that we move forward and hear the messages better so that we can act upon then and positively impact our life and the lives of others. What messages are you receiving when you get into the peaceful place that resides in you?

People ask me all the time JDOGG How do you stay so peaceful? The answer is I make every effort to breathe. I will admit there are times that I do get upset and frustrated and at those time I do my best to find the place in my soul that allows me to get centered and grounded. Many times it is realizing that the issues are the person I am dealing with and not mine and sometimes the best thing I can draw on is the serenity prayer.
