Spiritual Awakening: Oh It’s So Big!!!

 

 As part of the spiritual awakening process we learn that the universe is big. It contains so much energy that when we first contemplate its magnitude we may become overwhelmed. It is at that moment at time that we must step back and examine the actions that we are taking so as to better enhance our spiritual journey. Exploring the universe is much like eating a large meal as you look at the portion that is being offered to you you think oh it’s so big how am I going to eat this then you realize you cane at it and enjoy it one bite at a time.  As you examine the universe and begin to understand how to harness the energy it contains and use it for the greater good you begin to create a oneness consciousness that will assist you in your personal and professional endeavors.  You will find yourself guided to ascended masters who will hold the answers to the questions you ask. You will begin to discover that there are many people who are being placed in your path to guide you to a positive  outcome along your spiritual path. As you continue along your spiritual path you may find forks in the path and you will be guided to take the best path for you.  You may stand at that crossroad and think oh this is a big decision. At that moment it is important to stop, breathe, and ask GOD and the ascended masters to guide you in the right direction. In some cases the message may be to stop turn around and come back to this decision on another day. Sometimes taking a time out and seeking guidance is the best way to allow the spirituality that we posses to become one with the universe.

The Message : why I ran for County Council, my committment, how I ...How many times have you received a message and thought oh it’s so big how can I do that and not gone forward with the message from GOD and The Universal Powers we call Ascended Masters.  I have stated many times before that if GOD brings you to it he will bring your through it. I have seen this so many times along my spiritual path. Recently I was given the news that my radio show, Get Motivated With Jonathan JDOGG Lederman, which airs on www.blogtalkradio.com/hrafnstongradio will be going off  the air and my last show will be on 9/29/2014.  At first I was disappointed but then I realized that GOD has more plans for me. My first reaction tot he decision was oh it’s so big then I took a breathe and realized GOD has bigger plans for me and wants to provide opportunities where I will prosper.

Spiritual Awakening: Finding The Silver Lining!!!

The silver lining of the dark cloud of a funeral trip included:In being an action taker during the spiritual awakening process I have learned to seek the positive message in all I do. Today (8/29/2014) I was stoked to be part of The How To Sell Your Genius Tap Into You Seminar as a presenter. I had prepared and was ready to rock the house. I left my home and headed out to Broward College. As I drove I must have run into 5 school zones. Instead of getting angry I looked to the heavens and thanked GOD for watching over me and giving me more time to prepare and keeping me safe. As I arrived at the parking garage I dropped my banned in a puddle. In the past this would have angered me now due to understanding that everything happens for a reason I picked up the banner wiped it off and walked over to the building where I would be presenting. Upon asking the security guard for the room we were in I asked for a parking pass and was given one. I went to the 12th floor and I found the room where I would be presenting I dropped off my stuff and went to get a glass of water and off to my left there it was a beautiful display of stones and crystals. I took my water and took a breathe and allowed the power of GOD and the energy of the stones and crystals to envelop me and I went to get the rest of thing I needed for my presentation. I arrived at my car and I was sweating and then one of the tab collars on my short broke. I again took a deep breathe retrieved everything I needed and made my way back to the building.  I sat quietly in the room and then went and got refreshed. As I was cleaning up my top button broke. I put my hands in the prayer position and asked GOD, “What is The Message?” The answer I received is regardless of what happens you have a positive and informative message to deliver and all the stuff you were shown today is given to you to teach you to appreciate your gift and to use it for the betterment of others. It was at that moment that I realized that the silver lining was that my message would be heard regardless of the broken buttons, a wet banner(that by now was dry), a trying trip, and any other obstacles that came my way.

Spiritual Awakening: How is Your Oil?

CHECK_YOUR_OIL_LOGO_273x239In the spiritual awakening process one of the necessary things to do to become an action taker is to check your oil. After you check your oil and you see that the viscosity is low you need to change the oil and refuel. Just like a car needing to change oil every 3,000 miles you as a spiritual being may need to change your oil by putting in better fuel as you make the mind, body, soul connection. In the spiritual awakening process you begin to see the warning signs more clearly as to when your oil is getting gunked up and blocking you from moving forward on your path. Sometimes I wish that my body had a  warning light like the one in my car that would help to identify the problems before they occur so that I could take proactive action to make the changes necessary to unclog my body and mind from that which is interfering with my ability to move forward in the positive direction of my dreams.  Well I no longer have to wish for a warning light as I have created my own spiritual guidance system as I am in tune  with the emotions that gunk up the works. In recognizing those emotions I am able to counteract then simple by making a decision to change the oil.  In making a decision to change the oil in the car our car runs better; it is the same thing with our life when we understand our calling and we make a change in our thoughts we come alive and our oil flows better.

Spiritual Awakening: Disposing Of The Oil?

If our oil is really bad we must set it a blaze and release the bad oil to make room for the good oil to flow. When the bad oil fire is put out let it cool and then release the ashes not to enter your body again. After you dispose of the bad oil make a commitment to put good oil into your body and focus on the good and replenishing the good oil. In putting good oil into your body you will be able to easily dispose of the bad oil and thus clear blockages that may have been holding you back from manifesting the goodness that you deserve into your personal and professional life. In disposing of the bad oil you open up the channels needed for the good oil to flow and thus enabling yourself to detach from situations or things that no longer serve you.

Spiritual Awakening: Opening Your Eyes!!!

As I awoke this morning I did my gratitude prayer as part of the spiritual awakening process. As I laid down in meditation a message kept coming to me, open your eyes. I then asked open my eyes to what and an avalanche of answers came to me.  As I came out of meditation I began to think how we can no longer turn a blind eye to what is happening in the world. We must acknowledge that there is evil at work and if we are going to turn the tide of negativity we must be aware and open our eyes to what is happening. As spiritual beings we can no longer shut out the rest of the world and pretend that everything is fine while  wars in the name of religion are being staged all over the world. Extremism seems to be ruling the headlines today as people are using religious beliefs to justify the killing that is happening around the world. It is time that we all begin to realize that we are all interconnected  and that regardless of what we call GOD we must all respect life by opening our eyes and understanding we are more alike then different. I have learned that we can all coexist if we respect each other and do not force our views on others or condemn others for not sharing the same beliefs we may have. One of the things that I learned over the years is that we are all divine children of GOD and GOD loves us all equally.  Unfortunately since the beginning of time wars have been fought over religion because people on each side of the religious spectrum are so busy trying to indoctrinate others into their way of thinking that they lose sight of the fact that we are all share a spiritual connection and can coexist.  Gandhi once stated that an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. The killing will not end until we decide to love ourselves more than we hate others. I have often stated that the way things are and the way things should be  are two different things. In a perfect world people would get together on the same wave length and help one another.  People would see that we are all divine children of GOD and would celebrate and applaud each other. In a perfect world we would put down our weapons and exchange hugs and share love with everyone and see how we all could be of service and value. The reality of the situation is that as long as there are extremists trying to force their beliefs and their are people watching the news about this it will continue.

18 Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law. (Psalm ... This is a prayer I share with you so that we can all open our eyes and see that all those we come on contact with are beautiful in some way.

Spiritual Awakening: Fixing The Broken Road!!!

 In the spiritual awakening process we may come across a broken road in our path. When we come to that broken road  we must understand GOD put that road there for a purpose and to remind us to take action to do something to fix the broken road. The broken road may represent a part of us that needs to be patched up or fixed. Our broken road is being worked on by GOD and the angels who are constantly sending messages to us to move forward in a positive direction of our dreams. Sometimes along our spiritual path that leads to personal and professional growth we may come upon detours. It is when we come upon these detours that we understand that GOD and the angels have a reason for putting up these detours and by accepting them and working through them we become stronger.

Spiritual Awakening: What’s It All About?

 As I woke up this morning the question, What’s It All About, kept permeating into my consciousness and I thought I would do my best to answer that question as it relates to me and my spiritual awakening. I often say to people that it is not about the fancy car as my Cobalt will get me to the same place a Mercedes or  BMW will. It is not about the big house because as long as I have a safe place to rest my head at night I will be okay. It is not about the fancy clothes because I am the same person with a suit on as I am with ripped jeans and a tee shirt. I am then asked JDOGG what is it all about? My answer it is about being of service and value and knowing that at the end of the day you made the life of others better while enhancing your personal and professional life. I often think what could be done with the $52,000 someone spent on a Corvette? My answer is always  could have bought a practical car for $22,000, taken $10, 000 and invested it, taken $20,000 and helped many charitable organizations or people in need. Imagine being able to  take action and host a community barbeque for $6,000 and have people share why they deserve $2,000 and then plant seeds for prosperity by giving 7 people that seed and having them chronicle how the money was being used.

 As I listened to this instrumental by Pat Metheny I began to understand that what it is all about is living your life on purpose and making a positive impact in the community where you live, work, and play creating a massive shift toward positivity in the world. I began to understand that it is very important to think globally and act locally. Through out the spiritual awakening process there will be signs and messages as to what GOD would like you to do. It is important to realize that these messages are meant to be acted upon. When acting on these messages the answer to what is it all about will be revealed to you.  When you realize that it is about answer the calling GOD has for you and no one else you will begin to achieve more success in your life.

Spiritual Awakening: The World Is Calling!!!

 

 Today’s entry was inspired by a U.S. Peace Corps commercial that I found today. As A returned U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer I can truly tell you that there is something very spiritual about being of service and value in this way. I remember when I filled out the paper work to become a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer and gaining a great insight into my spiritual awakening. For many years I have recited The Jaycees Creed and the second line That The Brotherhood Of Man Transcends The Sovereignty Of Nations  always resonated with me. Now was the time to take this belief and put it into action by becoming a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer.  The paper work was completed and checked and I realized that this was another message from GOD telling me The World Is Calling and It Is Time To Shine Your Light. I took that message and continued on my spiritual journey which would take me to The Philippines for 6 months. In those 6 months I found out more about my inner core than I ever expected. I found myself meditating daily, walking the beach, spread love wherever I went, and looking for ways to be of service and value. In those 6 months I further understood my calling from GOD which was to help other people excel. Each day in The Philippines was a day that led to change and when I returned to The United States in February 2003 I was definitely a changed person with a new found appreciation for that which I had.

 

Spiritual Awakening: Answering The Call!!!

 

 How many times do we allow our human existence to interfere with our spiritual existence and are left questioning ourselves? It is very important after you have a spiritual awakening and  commit to being on a spiritual journey that you answer the call from GOD.  It is said that if GOD brings you to it GOD will bring you through it. GOD will give you a call to answer and it is up to you to answer that call and not let it go to voice mail. As yourself how has GOD called you? Has GOD directed you to be involved in the community? Has GOD called you to use your talents for good? Look around and see the messages that GOD is sending you and act upon them. GOD will give you the tools and allow you to explore what is needed to make you the best person you can be. Many times it will be the same message showing up over and over again. The message from GOD to me over the last month that has been reoccurring was to become organized and plan out my days so that I can move forward with his plan for me, which is to be a beacon of hope for others and to help them excel.  I have learned that when you go as GOD directs you and you glorify him everything will work out. I was reflecting in mediation when I realized all the synchronicities that have occurred in my life and how they were all related to my connection to GOD.

Spiritual Awakening: Judge Thee Lest The Be Judged!!!

 As part of the spiritual awakening process it is imperative to remove judgment and detach from situations so that you can make the mind, body, soul connection. It is  important to leave the EGO at the door and to allow things to flow as GOD has a master plan for you.  It is when we judge that we miss out on what can be a great interaction or experience. How many times have you made a decision based on your pre judgment only to find out that you missed out on a personal and professional growth experience? How many times have you forgot everything and ran because you pre judged the experience instead of committing to the experience and facing everything and rising.? How many times have you looked passed someone  and lost out on an opportunity to be lifted because your EGO got in the way? Judgment is perhaps the biggest obstacle to becoming awake and aware. When you remove judgment and begin to interact with people you will see amazing thing happen.

 

Spiritual Awakening: Judge Thee Lest Thee Be Judged- Case Studies!!!

 I was recently at my local Starbucks and a gentleman walked in and he was very unkempt, he was walking around asking for money. I told him I wouldn’t give him money but I would buy him a bagel. I bought him the bagel and asked him to sit down and we talked for a while I found out that he had worked most of his life and due to some circumstances beyond his control he was left in a financially challenging situation. I gave him some pointers and  I hope he acted upon my advice. I thought what If I would have looked at him as a beggar and a loser and not a human being who could be made whole with a bit of guidance and support.  Ask yourself how many times you are judging people? Then do your best to remove this judgment from your being.  In peeling back the onion and getting to know people you begin to remove judgment and as a result your personal and professional life is enhanced.  In today’s world so many people miss out because they are so busy passing judgment that they never experience to joy or interaction.

Spiritual Awakening: A Tribute To Greatness – Maya Angelou

When the news came across my Facebook Feed that Maya Angelou had been called home to GOD today (5/28/2014) my heart sank as she was a pioneer, an icon, a leader, an action taker, and an inspiration. Her legacy will be one of hope, success, and change. Maya Angelou played a major role in my spiritual awakening as it was her writing and her presence on this earth that helped me to understand many of the spiritual philosophies and beliefs that I had been studying. Maya Angelou was courageous as she fought for what she believed in and as a result affected change. As we celebrate her life we ask ourselves what will our legacy be? We ask what will become our memorable anthem. How far will our spiritual awakening take us?

 Maya Angelou was an award winner whose contributions to the world will live on in each of us. As we continue to find our inner divinity and share it with others we can learn from the many teachings of Maya Angelou. Maya Angelou  answered her calling and embraced it and as a result has inspired people to come alive and make a positive change in their lives. She brought entire communities together and taught us to detach from our preconceived notions and to rise about all judgments.

Spiritual Awakening: Shaken Not Stirred!!!!

 

 In the James Bond movies he has a catch phrase when ordering his martini, Shaken Not Stirred. As I reflected back on this phrase I immediately thought that there are many times when we take action that we are shaken and not stirred and when we are shaken we must find something to un-shake us and put us back on our spiritual path that will allow us to continue in the spiritual awakening process. This song was one of the reminders that if you have faith and you create a oneness consciousness you will not be shaken, however if you are shaken you can get back on track. In answering your calling and following your heart you will have some detractors who will do their best to shake you and take you off of your path. Do not allow these naysayers and doubters to shake you simply detach from them and move forward in the positive direction of your dreams. As you begin to change those that are involved in your life will change. At first this may shake you up as you eliminate people and things that no longer serve you. As you get past the initially shake up you will begin to come alive and see that you have greatness inside of you and that it is time to step into your power.

Spiritual Awakening: Shaken Not Stirred- A Success Story!!!

 Sometimes in our efforts to be of service and value we will be shaken as not everyone will resonate with our efforts. In my quest to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays through my involvement with Relay For Life I used to take it quite personally when someone said no or made an excuse or was mean towards me. I recently realized that if I am shaken this doesn’t serve my purpose and that I must detach from the outcome and continue to do what I am comfortable with. I was a bit shaken during the fundraising for The 2014 American Cancer Society Relay For Life because I kept comparing my results with the results of others.  As I was telling someone that I have raised $1862 so far they said that is great. I replied yes but there are people who have raised a lot more. The person’s response to me after that was JDOGG you have to stop comparing yourself to what others have done your $1862 is $1862 that the organization didn’t have before you did fundraising. I reflected on his words and thought he is right. It was at that point that I became un-shaken and continued to do the fundraising the way I was comfortable and looked at each dollar raised as a triumph. I began to use the concept of gratitude and instead of being shaken I was able to stay the course an now look at from the perspective that some money raised is better than no money raised. I now look at the detractors in a different light as I know some will, some won’t, so what, some waiting, next.
