Spiritual Awakening: Get Bent!!!
Not what you thought, huh? Many times we think of telling someone to get bent is a bad thing in this case it is a good thing as we are telling them to make a mind, body, soul connection so as to manifest the life that they desire. In taking action to get bent we expand our horizons as we stretch to go beyond what we once thought were our own limitations. In becoming an action taker and helping others to get bent we bend ourselves as we experience new concepts that help us to awaken spiritually thus giving us the correct perspective to answer our calling and to become the change we want to see in this world. In getting bent we are able to put ourselves in a favorable position to be of service and value to others. In being of service and value to others we open up the channels to receive therefore creating a life that we desire as planned by GOD. In getting bent we can become more in tune with the concept that we are divine children of GOD and GOD’s plan for us is far greater that the plan we have for ourselves.
When I was in The Philippines serving as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer teaching English, Math, and Livelihood Skills at The Regional Rehabilitation Center For Youth I was able to get bent by practicing some of the traditional Filipino Dances and after a session of dancing I would find myself invigorated and reenergized knowing that I was being of service and value to others. In my 7mnths of service I found myself becoming more and more spiritually aware and awake and getting bent became a daily practice be it dancing, meditating, walking, or simply stretching I found myself becoming more and more connected to GOD, The Ascended Masters, and The Angels. In getting bent and staying connected to GOD I was able to create a great experience which I draw on today to remind me that I am on this earth as a human having a spiritual existence that will manifest into the life that I desire. In getting bent I have been able to shift from darkness to light. In many case I simply get bent by playing some soothing music and stretching thus getting me back to being centered, focused, and grounded.
Last night (2/7/2018) I was announcing The Calvary Eagles vs Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs Girls Varsity High School Basketball Game and I made a call when the opposing player from Calvary double dribbled. I said double dribble get her a kids cup Chiefs Basketball. At halftime a parent from Calvary came up to me and asked if I thought is was okay to heckle the girls. I said I wasn’t heckling I was just adding some flair to the game as I have been doing for many years, At that moment another parent stated you can’t do that it is high school basketball. I apologized and began to walk away and the other parent kept going on and on.I simply went back to my announcing position. After the game a few of The Cardinal Gibbons parents came up to me and said don’t worry about it they were upset from the time they got to the gym you did a great job. The irony of the whole situation is that Calvary is a Christian School and I thought one of the covenants of Christianity was forgiveness.
In becoming humble before GOD and seeking forgiveness for my trespasses I will become a better person and thus attract peace, love, joy, and prosperity into my life so that I can continue to be of service and value to others. Last night was a humbling experience for me as in all my years of announcing I have never had someone come up to me to complain about my call of a game. It was a learning experience for me as it reinforced that not everyone will be a fan of your style. In accepting that not everyone will resonate with your style you begin to become more true to yourself as you move along your spiritual path. The only thing anyone of us can do is walk in our truth and follow the messages that GOD is sending you. In my case as a professional announcer and emcee I must become more aware as to the effect I have on audiences and to carry myself with grace and dignity. I must realize that as funny as I might find something others may find it hurtful thus I must find a common ground where I bring the game to life without disrespecting the game. It is important to look at how we conduct ourselves and how we play this game of life understanding that sometimes we can get a bit crazy.
Over the last few days I have continued to recite The Serenity Prayer as I have come to understand that I can not control the actions of others and I can not let their actions interfere with my quest to be a peaceful warrior. Through the spiritual awakening process I have come to understand that all I can do is be impeccable with my word, not take anything personally, not make judgments, and do my best. In realizing that I need to roll up changes by simply allowing things to unfold as GOD has intended I have been able to attract peace, love, joy, and prosperity into my life. In making sure I clear blockages that have held me back in the past I have been able to continue on my spiritual path reach certain goals that I have set. In controlling my actions and being of service and value to others I have experienced some great moments in my life and as a result at the end of the day I can say yes I lived my life in joy and my life brought joy to others. In the past I would get mad and allow my anger to rule the day and would be unhappy now I let go and roll up some changes and simply do the best I can with the tools I have and go about making the world a little brighter one person at a time.
In rolling up some changes I have had to make some difficult decisions as I needed to make sure the announcing gigs I was accepting were with people who were in tune with my desire to be of service and value. I have had to walk away from some organizations because I didn’t feel valued and in changing my mindset from lack and desperation to abundance and productivity I have been able to roll up some changes that have led to me being in a better place. I have come to understand that I can not be responsible for what other people do for not everyone resonates with my message of being of service and value and not everyone is ready to be authentic and not everyone is ready to walk in their truth so I must continue to roll up some changes.
As you roll up some changes remember that there is a time for every purpose under heaven. Live your purpose by rolling up changes.
As you awaken more and more spiritually you gain an awareness of your own truth. The draw back to becoming more and more aware and awake is that you begin to encounter people who can not handle the truth. As an action taker you will find it easier to speak your truth while interacting with others. In all cases it is important to be your authentic self as you continue on your spiritual journey toward enlightenment. Too many times we allow our fear to interfere with speaking our truth thus we miss out on opportunities to create the life that we want. Sometimes you just have to tell people how you truly feel and then let things work out as GOD has meant them to work out.
The other day I wrote a direct message to Wilson Football requesting a Crucial Catch Football, A Salute The Troops Football, and a Superbowl Football to use in a fundraising endeavor only to be told they can’t donate the 3 footballs. I wrote back and basically told them they had to kidding me as they could send 3 footballs that probably cost them less than $100 to manufacturer. I explained tot hem the fact that I have over 1900 Twitter Followers and over 2900 friend on Facebook not to mention the over 1500 people following me on Instagram. I spoke my truth letting them know that I hoped they would reconsider their decision. I haven’t heard back from them as I believe they couldn’t handle the truth. In speaking my truth I was able to explain just how important it was for Wilson Football to support my effort to be of service and value to others. Think about it this way the more people you help the more business you receive for you never know who can help you to build your brand and increase your revenue. So the next time you are approached about helping some one think about what the truth is and the truth is that a simple act of kindness will come back to you.
About a month ago I reached out to shareacoke.com to have them donate 6 bottles and few of their polar bears for a fundraiser I was doing to help those touched by cancer and again I was told oh we are not in a position to do that. I wrote back asking how a multi-national company with over a billion dollars in sales each quarter can’t see its way clear to donating 6 commemorative bottles and 3 polar bears which probably cost them less than $75. I explained my reach and how I could be of service and value to them. I haven’t heard back since figuring they couldn’t handle the truth. I find it interesting that many people do not see the value of supporting others and will become excuse makers instead of action takers. Look at how you are reacting to people seeking support and then find the truth as to why you may be struggling in your personal, professional, and personal life. I chose to share the two experiences where I was turned down because the truth of the matter is that not everyone is going to resonate with your cause regardless and to how noble it is. You are going to encounter a few setbacks along your spiritual journey however with a few setbacks come set ups for exceeding your goals and objectives.
In not allowing the no from Coca Cola and Wilson to get me down I took a deep breath and I called The NFL about supporting The POINTS FOR THE CURE Fundraiser that I was hosting and guess what they sent me cleats, lanyards, balloons, and pins to use in the fundraising efforts and may send more items in the future. I realized that the truth of the matter is that some will, some won’t, some waiting, so what, next. As you walk in your truth you will find that there are those who will help you and those who will not. I have come to realize that the truth is that not everyone will understand your level of commitment so focus on those who are supporting you and lifting you and let the others go and pound sand.
As you journey along your spiritual path and make a statement by walking in your truth remember that there are going to be those who can not handle the truth as they are not ready to take a look deep inside as to why they are making the decisions that they are making. Many can not handle the truth and are not used to being called out so when you call them out with a passionate and cognitive reason they can not handle it and do not know how to respond. The key is to continue to walk in your truth and follow your passion thus attracting peace, love, joy, and prosperity into your life. When you are armed with the truth you will manifest the life that you desire. When you speak your truth you will begin to reap great rewards as you begin to realize that passion + action = success. In many cases it is just a simple matter of walking in your truth and allowing your actions to show the world how you are being of service.
Through the spiritual awakening process I have come to realize that whatever you bring to a situation is returned to you. This was very evident yesterday (11/8/2017) when I had a slight traffic mishap in the parking lot at my condo. I was upset because the lady I hit spoke no English and I told her we live in American learn English well this was overheard by the neighbors and they were upset. I took a deep breath and apologized and we worked everything out. As I went about my business of the day I realized that what ever you give you get back tenfold thus if you want peace you need to be peaceful. If you take action filled with love and gratitude you will receive love and gratitude in return.
In becoming a cheerful giver and being of service and value to others you will be rewarded. It is when you stay calm and keep giving without an expectation of return that you grow personally, professionally, and spiritually. If you stay calm and keep giving from a place that id filled with peace, love, joy, and prosperity you will attract peace, love, joy, and prosperity into your life. When you remain calm and take a step back to detach from the situation you will find that everything works out just the way GOD intended it to work out for you. GOD may put some challenges along your path to remind you of the importance of being humble and refraining from the emotions that create blockages and stop you from moving toward spiritual enlightenment. In every situation you face their is an opportunity for growth.
I was introduced to this book a few years ago and I had the pleasure to interview M.J. Ryan on my radio show, Get Motivated With Jonathan JDOGG Lederman. It was through these lessons that I learned the importance of keeping calm and giving. I learned that when you are authentic about your giving that you are rewarded. Sometimes it is a matter of simply giving of yourself that creates opportunities for personal, professional, and spiritual growth. The lessons learned over the last several days have allowed me to see that it is when I am focused, centered, and grounded with the intention of helping others that my life flows in a positive manner. I have learned that in tough situations it is important to stay calm and keep giving love and compassion to others. It is important to focus on the good that can come of all situations by remembering that if GOD brought you to it GOD will bring you through it.
