As I left Skyline Chili On October 17 after no one showed up to take advantage of the opportunity to learn how to strengthen their brand and increase their revenue I was a bit down and wondered what more do I have to do to get people to attend events that I host. This feeling continued on October 22 after I hosted a Give Back Night at Bru’s Room located in The Sunrise West Plaza. In the last few months I have worked really hard to host events and had poor turn outs that made me want to simply quit my volunteer work with The American Cancer Society Relay For Life Of Sunrise and to stop offering workshops as I had this reoccurring thought that perhaps I am not the person people want to follow. Then on Wednesday 10/24 I was the announcer for The Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs JV Football Game and after the game I had so many parents come up to me to tell me how great I did that I realized it was time to get up. I arrived home and I really wished my DAD was still alive so I could share with him the highlights of the game and that I felt a sense of appreciation. At that moment I sat in prayer and the overwhelming message I received was that it was time to get up and move forward on my spiritual journey and continue to be of service and value to others.
As I sat down to write this blog entry I realized it was time to get up off of that thing that was interfering with my personal, professional, and spiritual growth. That thing was focusing on the negative instead of looking at the positive. As I thought more and more about how I felt knocked down I realized I was knocked down and not out and if i could look up I could get up. It was in this moment that I began to understand that it is important to take the good with the bad and then release the bad while learning from it and continue on the path to do more good. It took much introspection and reflection to work from feeling sorry for myself and defeated to get back to feeling good about all I was doing and being victorious.
On of the things that helped me to get back up was looking at this photo. It is of Lacey Jerome who is 4 years old and a cancer survivor. She has had 4 brain surgeries and 10 other surgeries resulting from the complications from cancer. She is now cancer free and she threw out the first pitch at The Strike Out Cancer Day with The Sunrise Sharks Travel Baseball Team. Being the announcer for that moment is a reminder that I have had more positive things happen on my journey than negative and to focus on the joy that I have been part of. One of the Life Coaches that I know, Shantel Springer taught me a few years ago to always get up and to be grateful for those who show up to support your endeavors and to understand that the people that are meant to be there will be there. In coming to understand that as an action taker there will be some downs but there will be many ups has helped me to get up after feeling down.
As I was seeking material to encourage the readers of this blog to get up the universe conspired to help me and sent me this song by Jonas Blue. It is important for all of us to continue to rise until we fall and when we fall we need to dust ourselves off and rise up again. As I sat in reflection and looked back at all the great things that I have been part of over the last 45 years I realized just how capable I am and that if people don’t get me it is okay for I simply need to keep getting up and continue to step into my power and use it to shine my light and illuminate the world.
One of the things that I have found to help get back up is music. As you continue to move forward in a positive direction of your dreams it is important to see yourself as being on top of the world. Sometimes it takes a setback to help prepare you for a step up. In loss we learn important lessons that will help us to get back up.
One way to get back up is to rekindle the fire that lies inside of you and allow it to burn so you can continue to get back up after being knocked down. As long as their is a burning ember in your heart you can fan the flames and reach to heights that you never imagined as long as you keep getting back up. There will be challenges along the way but remember GOD will never give what GOD knows you can not handle. GOD wants you to stay up and to be prosperous so you can prosper others. I have come to grips with the fact that their are those I will encounter who will not be attracted to the projects that I am involved in but there are many that will be and that I should take great solace in the knowledge that through out my time on earth I have made a positive impact on many and that I should always get back up because I am capable of achieving great things. I hope this entry will help you to get back up if you are facing challenges as you are a divine child of GOD and GOD doesn’t make any junk. Namaste!!!
One of the tools in my spiritual tool box that has helped me to answer my calling and come alive to be of service and value to my community has been the serenity prayer. In having this displayed somewhere that I can see it daily has helped to keep me centered and grounded in the good times and through the challenging times. 
In our spiritual journey we will find that there is balance in all we do and when we are balanced we can reach very high levels of vibration that allow us to attract peace, love, joy, and prosperity into our personal. professional, and spiritual lives. As I left The American Cancer Society Office today (5/3/2018) I started to look and the balance sheet for The 2018 American Cancer Society Relay For Life Of Sunrise. It read 34 teams, 71 participants, and $21,582.77 raised. I looked at this and at first was a bit disappointed for as an action taker I expected more as The 2018 American Cancer Society Relay For Life Of Sunrise is Tomorrow (5/4/2018). I started to allow the negatives to take over and thus my vibration was being lowered and then after taking a deep breath I started to look at all the positives and my vibration was rising and I was feeling better about the action that I was taking. As I started to look at all the good things I realized that I need to remember to detach from expectations and simply allow GOD to guide me as he will deliver all that is needed to have a successful event. 
As I look back on a 9 month journey as The People Lead for the 2018 American Cancer Society Relay For Life Of Sunrise I can say that the experience has been a great lesson in personal development and spiritual development. I was able to gain a lot of clarity in understanding just how powerful one person can be. I have raised $3004 to help fund research, education, advocacy, and services and was told I should be very proud of this and I am as I know that my mom, Judith Miler, who was called home to GOD on July 5, 2012 after suffering a massive heart attack while battling non-operable metastatic lung cancer is very proud that despite some trials and tribulations that I never gave up. As I look at my balance sheet I can say that I had more successful encounters than failed encounters. I have come to realize that all I can do is share my reason to Relay in hopes that it will resonate with others and that the people I share Relay with will see the value of supporting the effort to attack cancer from every angle. I have learned that some will, some won’t, some waiting, so what next. I have come to understand that as long as I am impeccable with my word, don’t take anything personally, don’t make judgements, and always do my best that I will come to have bliss and abundance in my life. I have come to realize that not everyone will understand the value of supporting Relay nor will they share my passion for wanting to plant the seeds of hope and healing for those touched by cancer. I have a choice I can focus on the negative or I can focus on the positive realizing that in the end there is balance and on my spiritual balance sheet the assets will outweigh the liabilities as long as I stay spiritually aware and awake.
It is when you can clear the negative energy that you can create a balance sheet that shows a profit in your personal, professional, and spiritual life. When we make the conscious decision to move in a positive direction toward our goals as we continue on our spiritual journey we will find that our assets always outweigh our liabilities. It is in using our assets that we can create more assets and thus experience the life that we want to have. As we come alive by serving our community by answering our calling to make be the change that we want in the world we create many positive encounters that far surpass any negative encounters that we may have. In realizing that we have a great power given to us by GOD and GOD wants us to use this power to create positivism in the world we evolve as spiritual beings who can have a great looking balance sheet.
When you awaken spiritually you will find that you go from being self centered to being people centered. As a result you find yourself better able to balance all that is happening in your personal, professional, and spiritual life. As you look at your balance sheet take stock in all of your assets and look at how you can turn liabilities into assets by making the changes necessary so at the end of the day you can say wow I had a nice balanced day. May your quest to find balance be positive.
As we become action takers it is important to do small things with great love. In being a conduit of love we will attract love into our personal, professional, and spiritual lives as we awaken spiritually. In doing things from a heart centered base you will find that the smallest gesture of love gets the biggest results. Yesterday (2/28/2018) I went out on a mission to promote The 2018 American Cancer Society Relay For Life Of Sunrise. Overall my day went great as I detached from expectations and simply tapped into my inner divinity thus allowing things to flow as GOD had intended. I did encounter one woman, a manager at Uncle Buck’s, a discount store in the neighborhood, who was so negative that I was left thinking wow someone need a spiritual enema. The beauty of being impeccable with my word, not taking things personally, not making judgments, and always doing my best is that I was able to take a deep breath and move on. I moved on to a dentist’s office and introduced myself and told them who I was and what I was doing. They were very open and receptive and donated $20. In focusing on the positive and doing the small things I was able to find joy in the knowledge that the donations I was collecting were making a positive impact on the lives of those touched by cancer. After collecting donations and promoting The 2018 American Cancer Society Relay For Life Of Sunrise I went across the street to the park for a meeting. I was a bit early so I went to watch a girls Flag Football Game and was able to connect with the coach and then I watched the boys flag football game and was able to make a connection with the coach in hopes that these two teams would participate in The 2018 American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Sunrise. I continued to share Relay everywhere I went and as a result was able to spread the word and plant seeds of hope and healing for cancer patients. 
Today’s entry was inspired by my interaction with Wilson Football as I was doing my best to obtain footballs to use in the fundraising efforts for The 2018 American Cancer Society Relay For Life Of Sunrise. At first the response was sorry we can’t help you to which I sent a reply speaking my truth that a big company like Wilson should be able to give 3 footballs to any organization that requests them. After a few back and forth messages Wilson came through and sent 3 Superbowl 52 official game balls to utilize. As I have experienced a spiritual awakening I have come to realize that you must walk in your truth and be persistent as it breaks down resistance. This may upset some people and that happens when you walk in your truth and have a solid foundation filled with good reasoning for people to assist you in your quest to be of service and value of others. In being persistent we are able to shine a bright light that illuminates the world. There are many people that just need to have things explained in a way they can understand and when they are ready they will help you to be of service and value to your community.
