Spiritual Awakening: A Force Of Nature!!!

 

 As we experience the spiritual awakening process we come to understand that there is only one way to live and that is to be larger than life. In becoming larger than life we become a force of nature with a purpose to be of service and value to others. When we become an action taker we become a force of nature by simply doing what others may fear to do. I have adopted the anthem of I am a force of nature whose vibration positively affects those I come in contact with.  As many of you know I am involved in The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of West Boca Raton and recently made All Star Status by raising over $2500. I sit at $2526.90 with 8 days before my relay. My donation page is http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg2. I was at a fundraising event a few weeks ago and one of the other volunteers described me as a force of nature and I said aren’t we all. She thought and said but you take action and just ask everyone aren’t you afraid of confrontation. I said no because I have GOD watching over me and directing me. When the fundraiser was over we had raised $129 in 4 hours and shared Relay For Life with many people. As I drove home I thought about how we are all made up of electrons and neutrons and that we all have a vibrational frequency and that if we were to simply be broken down we would simply be molecules filled with energized particles. As I arrived at home I started to think how we are all forces of nature and how we have the opportunity to become more spiritually advanced thus enhancing our personal and professional lives. I chose live life big to lead off today because there is no other way than to live.

Jonny Moseley is a well accomplished former Olympian who had a saying go big or go home. He was definitely a force of nature and in his sport of skiing he definitely became one with the slopes through hard work and dedication and finding the vibrational resonance that allowed him to perform at a top level. You are a force of nature as well and can perform at a high level by simply embracing your gifts and your talents and using them. So many times people do not evolve spiritually to become that force of nature because they are afraid of what might happen. If we eliminate the negative scenarios and simply move forward focusing on the immense positive possibilities  we become more powerful than we ever imagined. When we detach from the outcomes and we just do things with great love and gratitude we become a force of nature that can make a positive difference in our life and the lives of others.

Spiritual Awakening: Take A Chance And Dance!!!

 For those that know me and have seen me at events you know my spontaneous break dancing and sometimes doing a roundoff just because the spirit moves me. I have had mixed reactions when I do this some get it and join in and and help to shift the energy in the room while others gasp and say that is inappropriate. This is the issue people are so caught up in what other people will think that they do not do what spirit moves them to to do. My thoughts during the spiritual awakening process have been if you aren’t going to support my efforts or book me to emcee or speak at an event because of my doing a roundoff  or break dancing at age 49 then that is your issue not mine. All throughout the scriptures we are told to dance in praise and honor of the lord. In taking action to dance and to share joy with others you open up your heart for GOD to come in and provide joy to you.

In every culture across the globe dance plays a major role in the development of a oneness consciousness where we connect with and honor GOD. Praise dances do not have to be reserved just for church on Sunday. If you are moved to dance then dance and give thanks to GOD for the ability to express joy and happiness through dance. I remember being at an event collecting donations for The American Cancer Society Relay For Life and I broke out in dance and then took the microphone and passed the hat and as a result collected $70. It was at that moment that I realized that if you use your GOD given talents for good that good things happen.

This song has become an anthem of mine as I continue to walk my spiritual path. I know that when I dance to praise and honor GOD that good things happen. I will find myself listening to christian radio and when certain songs come on my mood shifts and positive things happen when I leave the car. For example this week I went to a food Truck Round Up and I said my praise prayer and did a small praise dance before collecting donations for Relay For Life and in a matter of two hours I collected $45. The next day I was at WRPBiTV taping segments for my TV Show, The Anything Bucket, which airs on www.wrpbitv.com on Tuesday at 6:30 PM EDT and one of my guests donated $20 to Relay For Life and also bought the clip of their appearance on my show. It is when we seek and praise GOD that he honors us and supports our efforts to be of value and service.  It only takes 45 seconds to make a positive shift and you can create joy and thus connect with you inner divinity while stepping into your power and unleashing your greatness into the world.

Spiritual Awakening: The Change Of The Tide!!!

Where to Go: La Unions Surfing Locations and Tourist SpotsThe year was 2002 and I was a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Buang La Union, Philippines I was well into my path of self discovery and experiencing a spiritual awakening when I discovered the power of the changing of the tide. I had walked about 5 KM from my host family’s house up the beach stopping at a resort to have a snack when I sat peacefully on the seawall watching the waves ebb and flow when I noticed that one of the banka(fishing) boats was coming in and that the crew would struggle to get it to shore so I jumped of the seawall and met the boat a sit came in and the filipino crew seemed frightened at first as they weren’t used to getting help from a stranger but I told them I can help I am pretty strong I lifted the front of the boat and with a few pulls and help from the crew we  brought the boat to shore. The fishermen paid me with an offering of their catch which I brought to my host family to cook. As I reflect back on this moment I am reminded that GOD will put is where we are meant to be so as to be of service and value to others.  Through out the next several months while I served in The U.S. Peace Corps I would have many encounters that would revolve around the change of the tide.  There would be days when I realized that walking back to the host family’s home would be challenging because of high tide and having to dodge waves. It was in these moments that I learned that  you can either wait  for the high tide to pass or you can adjust accordingly.

san luis del mar resort in bauang la union Many a night while in The Philippines this would be my view on my way from The Regional Rehabilitation Center For Youth where I taught Math, English, and Livelihood Skills to the at-risk youth assigned to the center. I would sit on the chair by the water realizing just how grateful I was as not everyone gets to fulfill a dream of traveling to another country and helping other people excel. As I watched the tide come in an out I began to realize that the water represented a flow of life and at anytime that tide can change.  As I became more and more aware of the power of the tide and the vibrational forces of nature i became more productive as I kept myself centered and grounded.

Spiritual Awakening: Banging The Drum!!!

The Muppet Mindset by Ryan Dosier, muppetmindset@gmail.comOne of my favorite characters is Animal from Muppets.  Animal represents the dichotomy that is life as he had the crazy out of control side and the loving caring compassionate side.  So many us are like Animal as we experience our spiritual awakening.Many of us keep ourselves chained up afraid of what may happen if we unleash our greatness on the world. It is when we are unchained and release the fear of what might happen that we begin to excel and truly tap into our authentic self.  We have choices along our spiritual path we can face everything and rise or we can forget everything and run. We can be lie Animal and learn to balance our crazy out of control self with our grounded, loving, caring, compassionate self. There are times when it pays to be a bit out there because it shows you are comfortable with who you are and that you are evolving beyond the concept of being a people pleaser.  It is when we choose to bang on the drum and step out of our comfort zone that great things happen.

As you bang on your drum of spiritual and personal development remember that you are a divine child of GOD capable of great things. Do not allow anyone to tell you differently and if they do tell them thank you and let them go. Sometime you have to look them in the eye and say to bad, so sad, bye bye and just release them as they are not going to be of service and value to you.  The decision you make should be to bang your drum and to share the drum with those who lift you and support you in your efforts to make the mind, body, soul connection while endeavoring to positively impact the world.  Sometimes you want to let others bang the drum  so you can experience the vibrations and receive the positive vibes.

Spiritual Awakening: Time To Take Action!!!

In the spiritual awakening process it is important to understand that our time is limited and that we must take action to use it wisely.  If we see an injustice it is our responsibility to do something to change it. If we are truly going to turn dreams into reality we must become action takers and go where we are divinely guided to go.  We all have a voice and we must use our collective voices to effectively change the way we are heading. If we want to effectively change things then we must see the wrongs in ourselves and make a cognizant effort to change them so we can shine our light and change others. It  is when we come alive and get on the same wavelength that our vibrations resonate with each other creating a better community for all.

In the last week we have been bombarded by the transgressions of several high profiled NFL Players, Ray Rice, Adrian Petterson, McDonald, and Hardy.  In a truly spiritually enlightened world these men would have understood that they are divine children of GOD and would have shared their divinity with others and not struck innocent women and children. The truth of the matter is that they allowed their human side to get in the way of their spiritual side. Since these players are in a high profile position the general public finds out about these situations and then is divided on what should be done.  I personally believe that we can forgive them for their transgressions but at the same time they can be punished by not allowing them to be associated with The NFL ever again and to seek some guidance so that they never commit these horrible acts again. Today The Minnesota Vikings reinstated Petterson and I thought only in America can you abuse your child be charged with a crime and still get paid millions of dollars to play a game. These instances have found me having to go deep inside myself and ask the question where has our moral and spiritual compass gone? When has it become okay to hurt others and no have consequences.  Our morals have become very skewed because of where we put our priorities. Now is the time to take action and bring the problems and challenges to light and find a solution through spiritual awakening.

Spiritual Awakening: Getting Up Or Going Down?

 In our spiritual awakening we often face the question of are we getting up or are we going down. As we continue to evolve and delve further and further into our divinity discovering our purpose we will run into those who see us getting up and they will want to bring us down. What do you you do when you encounter the naysayers or  the promulgators of negativity? I generally tell them thank you to bad, so sad, don’t let the door hit you where GOD split you. In taking action and deciding to move forward in a positive direction toward our goals and dreams we begin to find it easier and easier to detach from people, places, and things that no longer serve us. The anthem of staying positive allows me to continue to move up and at times when I feel like I am going down I say GOD if I get knocked down please allow me to land on my back for if I can look up I can get up. I have learned through out the spiritual awakening process that life will knock you down at times however I have been able to get up by remembering that of GOD brought me to it GOD will bring me through it. As GOD brings you through things and leads you with the plans he has made for you one understands that the hall of fame is waiting for us.

In the spiritual awakening process one will begin to see that they are getting up and in getting up will become inducted into their own hall of fame. In my home I have my personal wall of fame where I am the first picture and then I have photos of those people who I draw inspiration from like Irene Cara, who I had the privilege of meeting and interviewing.

IRENE CARAThis photo is the one that hangs on my wall of fame reminding me that if you are getting up you are moving forward in the positive direction of your dreams. I have come to understand that one must answer the question are you getting up or going down?  In the spiritual journey I have encountered many people who are award winners and who have come alive thus inspiring others to shine their light and illuminate the world. We all have the opportunity to achieve FAME in our own right. This fame may come in the form of accolades for being of service and value to the community, recognition from our peers fro outstanding work, awards from organizations and leaders who we have contributed to the betterment of their personal and professional lives. It may come from the opportunity of simply being out in the community and sharing your message with others.

 As one awakens and gets in tune with their divinity and finding their purpose they do things that are positive and memorable that add value to those they come in contact with. The gifts you have to share are inside of you and need to be let out. In deciding to get up instead of going down you put in motion the mechanics necessary to make a mind, body, soul connection and to excel in your personal and professional life.

Spiritual Awakening: The World Is Calling!!!

 

 Today’s entry was inspired by a U.S. Peace Corps commercial that I found today. As A returned U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer I can truly tell you that there is something very spiritual about being of service and value in this way. I remember when I filled out the paper work to become a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer and gaining a great insight into my spiritual awakening. For many years I have recited The Jaycees Creed and the second line That The Brotherhood Of Man Transcends The Sovereignty Of Nations  always resonated with me. Now was the time to take this belief and put it into action by becoming a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer.  The paper work was completed and checked and I realized that this was another message from GOD telling me The World Is Calling and It Is Time To Shine Your Light. I took that message and continued on my spiritual journey which would take me to The Philippines for 6 months. In those 6 months I found out more about my inner core than I ever expected. I found myself meditating daily, walking the beach, spread love wherever I went, and looking for ways to be of service and value. In those 6 months I further understood my calling from GOD which was to help other people excel. Each day in The Philippines was a day that led to change and when I returned to The United States in February 2003 I was definitely a changed person with a new found appreciation for that which I had.

 

Spiritual Awakening: Answering The Call!!!

 

 How many times do we allow our human existence to interfere with our spiritual existence and are left questioning ourselves? It is very important after you have a spiritual awakening and  commit to being on a spiritual journey that you answer the call from GOD.  It is said that if GOD brings you to it GOD will bring you through it. GOD will give you a call to answer and it is up to you to answer that call and not let it go to voice mail. As yourself how has GOD called you? Has GOD directed you to be involved in the community? Has GOD called you to use your talents for good? Look around and see the messages that GOD is sending you and act upon them. GOD will give you the tools and allow you to explore what is needed to make you the best person you can be. Many times it will be the same message showing up over and over again. The message from GOD to me over the last month that has been reoccurring was to become organized and plan out my days so that I can move forward with his plan for me, which is to be a beacon of hope for others and to help them excel.  I have learned that when you go as GOD directs you and you glorify him everything will work out. I was reflecting in mediation when I realized all the synchronicities that have occurred in my life and how they were all related to my connection to GOD.

Spiritual Awakening: Being Independent!!!

A Tribute To The Philippines!!!

As today marks Philippines Independence Day I thought I would write  about the importance of finding your independence while experiencing a spiritual awakening. If you have been a long time reader of this blog you know that I served as a U.S.  Peace Corps Volunteer in The Philippines from July 2002 until February 2003. In the six months that I worked with at-risk youth teaching Math, English, and Livelihood Skills some of my best learning came on days when I was alone and able to really go deep inside myself and find the answers to the questions that I was asking. There was one day I decided to be totally independent and detached from everything. I decided to walk from San Fernando in La Union to The La Union Botanical Gardens. It was about a 10 KM walk with the final 5 KN u a mountain as The Botanical Gardens were at the top. During this walk I came across many people who asked me why I was walking my answer was simply to appreciate the beauty of your country. In The Philippines most people didn’t walk unless they had to they would jump on a jeepney and ride wherever they needed to go.  I on the other hand preferred to walk when I could as  each time I walked I observed more and more amazing architecture, gardens, and I met some incredible people. Such was the case on my walk to The La Union Botanical Gardens. I met a man who was walking his Caribou to market and asked if I could pet in he said yes and even let me ride the caribou. Being offered to ride the caribou is a high honor in The Philippines. When I finally arrived at The Botanical Gardens I was thirsty and was able to ask the shop keeper for water as I stated Gusto Ko Nang Tubig. As I sat enjoying the water I realized that we create our own freedom. I took many photos, however unfortunately I left my camera at The ATM and when I went back it was gone so all I have are memories of the time spent at The Botanical Gardens in San Fernando. I was upset at first but then realized that I had my health, a family I was staying with that was treating me very nicely, and some great memories of a day that gave  me insight  into being independent.

Spiritual Awakening: Kindness Rules The Day!!!!

Today’s post was inspired by an encounter I had with Arley at The Verizon Wireless Store as I walked in to get a new phone charger cord for my phone when he said today is your lucky day and gave me a free replacement. It was very kind of him I told him about Arley The Bear from www.feelthehugs.com and we ended up having a great conversation.  This led me to think about how in the spiritual awakening process kindness rules the day.  I then arrived at my clubhouse in Sunrise Lakes Phase III and thought how can I tae action to make kindness rule the day. The answer came to be to simply be kind and watch what happens when you make kindness part of your day. It doesn’t cost anymore to be kind to people and you will see a change as you resonate and vibrate with kindness. In being kind you will feel an inner connection to your divinity that allows you to come alive and manifest the type of day that you would like to have. In committing to be kind and to be of service and value to your community you put in motion a vibrational force that gives others permission to be kind. When you  step back and breathe and become aware of your emotions and you say I will approach all situations from a position of kindness you will see a shift in the paradigm that you are experience and kindness will rule the day.

Essential Oils mixed with a burning candle while you relax, reflect, and rejuvenate will help to put you in a kindness mindset. I recommend visiting an apothecary shop and picking up some oils and candles.

 Doing a random act of kindness will assist you in feeling good and creating a flow of good toward you.

 Make a commitment to be kind to all as you never know how your kindness will be rewarded.

 Keep reminders such as these to help you stay centered and grounded in your effort to allow kindness to rule the day.

Spiritual Awakening: Letting Your Greatness Shine!!!

 Today’s blog entry was inspired by The Gallaudet University Football Team. Gallaudet University is a university specifically for the deaf and hearing impaired. I first learned of Gallaudet a few years ago when my cousin who is hearing impaired came to visit and she shred with me that Gallaudet has a football program. I was fascinated by the way they sent in the signals. I was so intrigued that I started to follow the team. Today (12/23/13) for the 1st time in the football program’s history they are playing in The Division III Playoffs against Hobart University. These 54 players and coaches inspired me to let my greatness shine and I hope that this entry will encourage you to continue on the path of spiritual awakening and let your greatness shine. may the Gallaudet Bison continue to inspire others to shine bright.

 When I think of greatness I think of Muhamed Ali as he is known as The Greatest. Ali had a certain way of carrying himself that exuded confidence.  Ali also had a very spiritual side to him. he changed his given name of Cascius Clay to Muhamed Ali and he stood up for his beliefs. He was so strong in his conviction that he refused to serve his country in Vietnam.  Many people did not like this decision and it cost Ali many years as he was not allowed to box. he kept his faith and his boxing license was restored and he went on to win the Heavyweight Title on many occasions. Ali was a person who was awakened and enlightened spiritually.  He serves as an example to all to stand their ground and be divinely guided with your decisions. Despite having Parkinson’s Disease he continues to make appearances and inspire others to let their greatness shine.

  It was 50 years ago when  John Fitzgerald Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas. I was not born yet, however I studied Kennedy in school and when applying to colleges in 1983 American University asked as one of  its essay questions, what day in history would you change and why. I chose 11/22/1963 because Kennedy was starting to bring our country together and helping people to have a spiritual awakening. Kennedy being the first Roman Catholic elected to the highest office in The United States Kennedy show many what having a strong faith can do for you. Kennedy also gave people permission to allow their greatness to shine bright as he encouraged people to look a t what they could do for their country. Kennedy also started The U.S. peace Corps in an effort to improve diplomatic relations with other countries. As a Returned U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer I can tell you that serving in The Philippines from July 2002 – February 2003 helped to develop a spiritual foundation that has allowed me to make positive changes in my life.  It is using Kennedy’s example and answering the question of how can I be of service and value that we are able to find our calling and come alive. In coming alive we give others permission to let their greatness shine.
