Spiritual Awakening: Listen To Your Inner Voice!!!!

As I sat at Starbucks preparing to write this blog entry I overheard people speaking about seminars and the work they do my inner voice directed me to go to my car get my business cards and introduce myself to them. I did and they complimented me on my voice. This led me to write this entry to encourage you to listen to the inner voice that leads you in a positive direction. This inner voice or divinity will lead you to many successes. It is when we begin to shut out the negative self talk and shift from the stinking thinking to the positiveand empowering self talk that we begin to become more spiritually awake and realize that we have amazing power within us to be great. Many  times  people miss out on opportunities to step into their greatness because they are so busy listening to the nay sayers and allowing their negative self talk get in the way. Today I encourage you to eliminate that negative talk and listen to the positive inner voice telling you that you can do it.

   Being open to receive messages and taking action will lead to success, I often say what the mind can conceive, and the heart can believe, you can achieve.  I have many examples of when my inner voice has led me to success. It was at the those times that I chose to step back, breathe, and then do. It is when you make the mind, body, and soul connection that you begin to tune in more and more to the inner voice that guides you in a positive direction. It is when you just allow things to flow and don’t sit in judgement and just do what you are guided to do that you will find more successes.

Spiritual Awakening: Dionne Warwick Reminds Us Of What Friends Are For!!!

 This is a wonderful reminder of what our friends are for. Friends are those people who regardles of the situation will come through for you. In today’s social media world we count our facebook friends but how many of them can you call upon in a time of need and have them respond in a positive manner to you. How many twitter followers when hearing of your endeavors with take action to support your causes. How many of those people on linkedin will take the time to call just to say hey I was thinking about you. The idea is that when you have that spiritual awakening you begin to realize that as a friend who recognizes others divinity you stand by them in their times of joy and in their times of sorrow becaue that is what friends are for.

Spiritual Awakening: Forgiveness Is The Theme Of The Day!!!

 As I read the daily affirmation and prayer in Rev. Dr. Dee Adio-Moses’ book Heal Your Life speaking about forgiveness I began to verbalize forgiving myself and those that I felt had done wrong to me. I then went into my car and turned on Reach FM and the song Foregiveness came on the radio and I realized then that forgiveness was going to be the theme of the day.

As I sat in quiet contemplation I made a shift to relax and let things flow and just allow. I found it very liberating to start to come from a place of forgiveness and realize that the best thing one can do is not to take things personally and if some one wrongs you do not react just walk away unless your life is in danger. I have found that the best thing to do is to breathe and in your mind forgive the person and then pray for them and let it go for holding onto to the incident does not serve you.  It is when we truly take action to forgive that we will erase blockages and create the path to help us strive.

Spiritual Awakening: Chicago Inspires A New Beginning!!!

As I sat and thought about what to write about today all the messages pointed to the idea of beginnings. As I listened to the song by Chicago, Beginnings I began to realize that each day gives us a new beginning and that each day we have 24 hours to make a positive impact on our life and on the lives of others. I then began to ask the question what is it that you have been meaning to begin but haven’t due to excuses or the fear of what others may say or think about it?  I then began to ask what is it that is holding you back? Then I found this quote by Lao Tzu,

 and immediately thought it is time to take that first step and watch things unfold. What might be holding you back from taking that first step is it fear? I found this video and I hope it inspires you to put your fear aside and to step into your greatness and to shine your light as it is only the beginning:

Spiritual Awakening: Full Throttle Saloon Teaches Valuable Lesson

Most people wouldn’t think that a TV Program based on a business that promotes drinking and scantily clad women during Bike Week in Sturgis, South Dakota would hold a lesson of spirituality. On 12/26/12 I was at home flipping the channels and tuned in to Full Throttle and the show had a message as one of the story lines was of a customer who Michael Balard, the owner of Full Throttle, made feel welcomed. The story was that the man passed away and his daughter was flown in by Michael as she had news that Michael was in her dad’s will.Michael is informed that he was left $1,000,000. As I watched I begin to thin wow what a lesson of spirituality as it shows that being kind and grateful pays off.

        

As Full Throttle ended I sat for a moment and began to think of how simple acts of kindness and gratitude go far in developing our spirituality. It may not bring us a million dollars like it did to Michael Ballard, however it will bring us the riches we seek as we become more and more spiritually awake. It is when you find ways to be a shining light of hope sharing kindness and gratitude that you are rewarded. Please share how you are being kind and what you are grateful for under comments.

Spiritual Awakening: Beatles Deliver Message of Hope!!!

 As I watched the gloom and doom of the news this past weekend I turned  inward and began to think that as bad as the media is portraying certain events things are actually getting better. I visited www.happyherald.com to find positive upbeat news and excellent advice columns. As I read the positive stories it reaffirmed my idea that things are getting better. I then began to watch Minute With Maxwell videos done by John Maxwell and as I watched these videos I realized that it is up to ne as an individual to enhance my personal and professional life to make things better.  I then began to read about action takers like Leslie Bruce and Karen Binnette Goldberg Raport of Feel The Hugs and their mission through www.feelthehugs.com. Then the phone rang and it was Shanta Tanksley from www.labonitakidz.com sharing good news about the magazine. Then I went back into Starbucks and I witnessed a random act of senseless kindness when a gentleman in line bought the women in front of him a coffee. The ideea is that things are getting better.

 Across ouir universe we are all divinely connected and when we recognize each others divineness we being to sow our good and make things better. There are many ways to make things better:

1:     Rick Figley and Stacy Sossner taught me this amazing pricincipal and I thought using it to greet people or say goodbye to people would be a great thing as it resets many situations and allows for people to move forward in a positive direction. I recommend that as you go through the day to share this greeting or salutations and then recognize how the environment around you changes.

Spiritual Awakening:Rocky, The Karate Kid, Mandisa, & CNN Heroes Inspire Greatness!!!

I am asked on many occassions JDOGG what do you use to stay focused, motivated, and grounded?  I ususally answer I use songs that have a message or a calming effect like the ones above. I sit quietly just listening to the music and bock everything else out. When the song ends I will remain quiet and began to visulaize desired outcomes that I seek and that helps to motivate me. Many time what I visualized comes to fruition as I recall the feelings and begin to take action. I have a few songs that I listen to that have become anthems for me like the folowing:



By using rituals like listening to Janet Lee Kraft, Reading Rev. Dr. Dee Adio-Moses, and reading Mary Morrissey I have found on the days that I do this I am super motivated and don’t allow negative energy to affect me.  I have found that by being motivated and going with the flow and increasing the positive vibrations and being a shining light that good things happen. I walked into a small paint store in West Boca on 441 south of Palmetto Park and the women and man there were very open and receptive and they each gave a dollar and took brocures for The American Cancer Society Relay for Life of West Boca Raton. We spoke about helping the small business owners. This motivated me to continue.

Spiritual Awakening: Zig Ziglar Leaves Legacy of Inspiration

     

It was abou 10 AM on 11/28/12 when the news came across the wire that Zig Ziglar, The Great Motivator, made his transition at age 86. His lessons will live on for many years as they have been written and recorded and they will resonate as they make sense. Think about the first quote as it shows us that we can be great if we get started. The 2nd quote is so very true as the law of reciprocity is true. The idea of being motivated everyday is importnat as it propels us to success. As I reflected on Zig Ziglar’s teachings I began to think about the idea of being inspired and inspiring others.

     On way to inspire others is to do good deeds. By helping others you begin to find yourself  as you find a joy in the knowledge that your act of love and kindness enhanced someome’s life. One of the good deeds that I do each year is particpiate and emcee The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of West Boca Raton. It is my hope to inspire people to support this effort and have them visit http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogglederman and make a donation.  The good deeds we do will last long after we are gone. I have  asked in past entries what will your legacy be?  Zig Ziglar’s legacy was one of hope and inspiration.

         Self discovery is a great way to find your talents to use to be inspired and to inspire others. If you have a great smile share it and see what happens. It is when you begin to be your authentic self that you are able to enhance your life and then enhance others. Write down I am Great, I make a difference in my life and other’s lives, I give and receive, I shine a light wherever I go and begin to internalize these thoughts and watch your greatness come through.

 It has been 12 days since I attended The Women Of Faith Event in Sunrise, FL. I was only able to take part in The Friday Night portion of the event as I was booked to announce The Sean Taylor Classic, which crowned champions in Pop Warner Football.  I was their that evening to promote and share www.addictsmom.com, an online community helping mothers of addicts to share without shame while facing the challenges of having an addicted child. Spiritual Awakening: Hey Barack, Mitt, and Lance Tell The Truth!!!!

          As I warched the news today and saw the story of Lance Armstrong I thought wow all the good he may have done is now tarnished because of him not telling the truth from the get go. Then I watched the political ads where Mitt and Barack continue to put each other down instead of building themselves up. I then turned off the TV and prepared for the day by writing in my gratitude journal, reading Mary Morrissey’s Miracle Minute, reading Rev. Dr. Dee Adio-Moses’ Onesness Consciousness, and reading a random verse from the bible.  As I arrived at my clubhouse I received a message to write about the importance of being truthful in everything you do and especially as you explore your spirituality.

 Think about it if Lance Armstrong would have said while I was battling cancer I found a drug that made me a better cyclist and I kept using it as I was out to be number 1 because it would mean more money and exposure instead of him denying everything. Now he has to come clean and his reputation takes a big hit  and how many people will now think twice about supporting The Livestrong Foundations.

What if Mitt and Barack laid out their plans with the best case scenerio, the worst case scenerio, and the most likely case scenerio and began speaking their truth instead of making statements and then having to back track. I believe more people would repsect the process if more truth was being told.

 When you tell the truth and you are your truth your life becomes easier as you do not have to manipulate the situation. I am reminded of a situation when I wrecked the tape deck in my mom’s car I told her exactly what happened, she was angry but we worked it out. It is owning up to your transgressions that truly allows you to evolve and become  a greater person.  Take action and step into your truth by being truthful with yourself if you are unhappy state you are unhappy and then find ways to step into your truth to be happy.  When you live in truth your burdens are eased and you will find that life becomes more joyous.
