Spiritual Awakening: Making Changes!!!

 

 I had today (3/7/2015) all planned out and then all my well laid plans went astray. I went to the barber shop and my barber was not there, he’ll be back at 10 AM tomorrow. I went to the movie theater and it was closed for renovations. It was at that moment that I noticed a car show going on and I was wearing a Relay For Life Shirt and had a collection canister in the car. I took a deep breath as I have learned through the spiritual awakening process and asked GOD what I should do. The answer was change plans and solicit donations for The Relay for Life. I did just that. After collecting donations I asked GOD what next? The answer was to go to Starbucks and work on follow up for Relay For Life. I now sit at the Starbucks working on this blog entry with one of my Tokens of Appreciation from www.tofa.us to give out. I have a n idea of who will get today’s but as today showed me don’t be to dependent on your plans as they will change. I have learned long my spiritual path that GOD has the master plan and he will direct you. Sometimes one has to detach from the plans you made and allow GOD to direct you to take the action he seeks you to take. many times as we experience our spiritual awakening we need to simply let go and let GOD. In making plans one has to also agree to be flexible if those plans go astray. In consulting with GOD, Jesus, our angels, and the ascended masters we will receive the messages to direct our actions that create the vibrations that lead to our lives being filled with peace, love, joy, and prosperity. many times our plans do not fit into our calling for the day and GOD sets things in motion for us that are more aligned with our calling and our life’s purpose. In accepting the fact that we must adapt and change according to what GOD has in store we create a greater oneness consciousness that allows us to come alive and help our community while also helping ourselves.

 Many times GOD makes changes to our plans to show us a better way. When we trust in GOD everything works out and many times they work out for the better.  When we detach from the plans and we understand that GOD has better things in store for us we begin to attract more positive experiences in our personal and professional lives. When we seek GOD’s direction and remove our emotions from the equation we are able to move forward in  the positive direction of our dreams. The fact remains that GOD will show the way you must be willing to follow the path he has set out and not get so set on your plans that you allow disappointment and the negative energy sucking emotions like anger creep into to your life as they lessen the vibrational levels that bring peace, love, joy, and prosperity into your life.

Spiritual Awakening: Times They Are A Changing!!!

As relevant today 38 years after this song was performed in 1966 it is important to understand that through out the spiritual awakening process the times will continue to change. As the times change it is up to us to adapt and become more self aware so we can make the changes to thrive. It is when we awaken spiritually that we are able to make changes. Today for those that watch the news you are bombarded by tragic events as media manipulation has led many to become sheep and not understand that every individual is a spiritual person with a power to affect change. Many of these sheep are sheep only because they have not been awakened yet. many are sheep because of the fear that they hold and have not realized that the world becomes a better place when individuals share a common goal of being of service and value to one another. I often think what would happen if we all shut off the TV, radio,  and social media for a week and began to interact and effectively communicate with one another?  When was the last time you knocked on a neighbors door just to say hello and see if they needed anything?  The world today has so many people that are self serving that they have lost their way and we are being inundated with the sad upsetting stories for the media is being used to control us.  It is time to change  and to awaken and to become the powerful individuals that we are that when we work together for a common goal things change for the better. I hear people complain everyday about things an when asked what action they are taking to change them I hear oh I can’t do anything. I tell them yes they can they can become engaged in the community and begin to change the world one person at a time. Some people feel powerless and they do not understand that they have a  divine power inside them that when connected no one can conquer.

It is when we reach down inside of ourselves and discover our own divinity that we will affect positive change. We will question why GOD does what GOD does for that is human nature, however their is always a reason. Recently I questioned why GOD would take a 15 year old boy from his family and call him home after a hit and run accident?  I could find justifiable answers  as it was a wake up call to all of us to take better care of the kids or maybe it was done to rally a community to become stronger and start talking to one another. The rationale answers and the humanistic answers all make sense however the true answer lies with in the spiritual teachings and the messages that lie with in. The answer I received when I asked GOD was to show people to value life. Many times we buy into the media manipulation that reports on cops being killed, which is tragic but they don’t tell of the 1000’s of cops who made it home safely after their shift. If we are truly to affect change we must look at the balance that is out there in our everyday life. I remember asking GOD why he took my mom on July 5, 2o12 and I was told so she wouldn’t suffer any longer and to use you fro a purpose of being love and showing love while helping cancer patients and their families. In understanding the messages I have been able to make effective changes in the lives of those I come in contact with.

There are many great tools available to us to help change the world however if we are to change the world we must first change ourselves.  In our transformational process that is led by our spiritual awakening we will not only transform our life but we will inspire others to transform theirs.  It is stated that the journey of 1,000 miles starts with the first step so it is time to take that first step and see what changes occur along our path. One way to change ourselves and those we come in contact with is to commit to being a lifter and spreading peace, love, joy, and prosperity wherever you go. Spiritual Awakening: Patience Leads To Progress!!!

 Patience plays a major role  in the spiritual awakening process.  Many times we want everything instantaneously and we push very hard and many times we hinder the process and stunt our personal and professional growth. We want things to happen so fast and expect certain things as we come from our human perspective that we often thwart our own efforts. To avoid this we must embrace the fact that everything takes time to develop. Imagine it took 9 months for you to develop in the womb and then when you were born it took time to learn to talk and talk  and through the years it took time to become proficient at selected skills. Today you are still developing and exploring and one component that will assist in your development as a spiritual being is patience.  In understanding that everything happens at the time GOD has intended you will be able to flow better in your personal and professional time. I have often stated that the way things are and the way thins should be are two separate things. For  example you set up an appointment with your doctor for 10 AM and you arrive and you find the doctor running late, you have two choices accept it and fond something productive to do while you are at the office or you can complain. Complain doesn’t do any good as they are not going to change things and only puts negativity out into the universe and thus it hinders your plans and skews the outcome that GOD intends for you. I usually ask is there a place to get wi-fi. If the answer is yes I go to my car get my lap top and set up shop until I am called thus I can do blog entries, send out emails, post on my social media sites. if they do not have wi-fi I sit quietly and read one of the books that I chose to bring into the office. By being patient I am able to be productive and accomplish everything that I intended to accomplish.

 Today (5/19/14) I was tested as my lap top was loading very slow and then once it loaded in finished the cleaning process. This took about 30 minutes and put me off my schedule, however I took a deep breath, wrote about it on Facebook, and thought everything happens for a reason. The reason this was happening was that GOD was helping me work on one of my challenges and that is being patient. Over the years I have become much better at the waiting process and have found ways to cope with waiting in lines, waiting for food delivery, waiting for a movie to start, and waiting fro people to answer my plea to help those affected by cancer.  I still struggle with the fact that people don’t answer phone calls in a timely manner but I have come to understand that if it is meant to be it will happen in due time when GOD wants it to happen.

 In being an action taker and embracing the spiritual awakening process it is a challenge at times to want everything done fast and efficiently.  This desire is one of the conflicts we deal with in understanding that we are spiritual beings having a human experience.  I have come to understand that we can not force the outcome of the situation simply by trying to speed it up for GOD isn’t done with us yet. In understanding that GOD is watching over us and being patient we can progress.  I heard a story the other day about a young man that said to GOD you made me late for work to which GOD replied had I not made the traffic light red and made you stop you would have been hit and killed by a drunk driver coming through that intersection. He looked up to heaven and said “Thank You God for having my back,” so the next time you are in a rush take a moment to slow down and breathe and understand that GOD is watching out for you.

 In understanding that GOD is for us and he wants us to be patient as all good things come to those who wait we are able to make progress in our personal and professional lives while we make a mind, body, soul connection.  I remember waiting on line the other day at Starbucks and I was a bit upset as I really wanted to get my drink and snack and get to work on my blog entry, however I took a breathe and started to talk to the people behind me about what I was doing and asked what they were doing and we exchanged business cards and they made a donation to my Relay For Life. By stepping back and being patient I was able to make progress in getting closer to my goal or raising $1500 to help those affected by cancer.

When we begin to make patience a part of our everyday life we begin to grow personally and professionally thus being able to be of service and value to others while staying positive enabling us to create a better world one person at a time.

You may chase time but you can not change time.

Spiritual Awakening: Hope, Healing, and Heroes!!!

 During the spiritual awakening process many times we may find ourselves holding out for a hero when all the time this hero lies with us. So many times we are along the path seeking hope and healing and we continue to hold out for that hero to come along and rescue us only to understand that that hope in healing comes from our becoming one with GOD and becoming our own hero.  We become heroes the minute we decide to take action to walk in our truth and shine our light bright knowing that all the answers are inside of us and contained within our own divinity. The heroic acts of others may fuel us and inspire us, however it is standing for our beliefs and being of service and value that truly makes us a hero.

 David Bowie has created what has become an anthem for many reminding us that we can be heroes. In many cases it is through our own spiritual awakening that we awaken others be it through art, music, poetry, our community service, or simple showing kindness. You can be a hero simple by supporting a cause or keeping your word and living a righteous life. In my life I have found that I have a gift for writing and when I share this gift through my poetry I not only enrich the lives of others but I also enhance my own life. In my writing it is my desire to provide hope and healing to those who read it and to be seen as a hero in their life.

Hope has become a theme of mine as evidenced by my involvement with The American Cancer Society Relay For Life. Shortly after Hurricane Katrina I wrote the following poem as I wanted to give hope to those who were affected by this devastating life occurrence. I then wrote Hope Prevails II to illustrate more of what was happening in the world.

Spiritual Awakening: The Facts Of Life!!!

 

 Today’s blog entry was inspired by The TV Show The Facts Of Life. As I watched the intro and listened to the lyrics I began to think how each character relates to a spiritual awakening lesson and how each one character gave us some tips that we can apply on our journey to spiritual enlightenment.  We all had a Ms. Garrett in our lives at one time. The person who we could confide in and the person that was there to lift us up when we were down and encourage us to keep going when things seemed bleak.  My Ms. Garrett was my mother, who passed on July 5, 2012. My mom played a big role in my spiritual awakening and even though she is no longer on earth in her human form her presence is felt daily through many messages that I receive. Who was your Ms. Garrett.

 There was Joe who was the tomboy tough outer exterior with a kind and caring interior who illustrated the ideal that even though we may seem tough on the outside we may have some inner conflicts to resolve as we achieve a spiritual awakening. There was Blair the spoiled rich girl who had no cares until she realized that everyone was in the situation together and thus taught us about inner connectivity and we reminded us that we are one. There was Trudy who was the young one trying to fit in and discover who she was showing us all that we are all seeking our purpose.  There was Natalie the bubbly girl who was masking some issues reminding us that in order to have a spiritual awakening and to be spiritually enlightened we must face our issues and come to a resolution of accepting who we are and not being afraid to be our true, authentic, and transparent self.

Spiritual Awakening: Doing A Time Warp!!!

 

   When that spiritual awakening occurs and you begin to realize that it is when you use your time in a wise manner that you enrich your personal and professional you begin your journey to understand time. In understanding that everyone is given the same amount of time each day to use and those that use it in a productive manner tend to find a spiritual bliss that leads to a spiritual awakening and an expansion of the mind, body, soul connection. As I listened to Al Stewart’s Time Passages I came to the realization that each day one should seek time to reflect and thus see where they had success and where they should seek improvement.  It is the use of our time that we begin to discover how to better use our spiritual gifts and thus improve our personal and professional life while also enhancing the lives of others. A great thing to do in the morning is to write down the statement Today I Will Make Time to_____________. BY doing this you set an intention and thus put out the vibes to the universe of what you desire to do and as a result when you take the time to do what you made time to do you expand in spirituality and thus grow personally and professionally. It is in the making of time to do something that you enjoy that you show the universe that you value yourself and thus others will value you.  It is in the taking of action to do for yourself that you set in motion the circumstances necessary to further your personal and spiritual growth.

 In the movie Dirty Dancing the viewer learns that it is in taking the time to care for another and time to practice that leads to a stronger relationship. When we take time to pursue our goals and our dreams we put ourselves on a path to enlightenment that leads to the spiritual awakening which leads to having a peaceful and joyous life. If you plan your work and work your plan and adjust as needed you find success as you grow personally and spiritually. It is finding a way to have the tine of your life that you find peace, love, joy, and prosperity. It is in the making of time to co-create and support others that your creations come to fruition and you receive support.

Spiritual Awakening: Bob Dylan Sparks Change!!!!

Inspired by Bob Dylan’s songs Times They Are Changing and The Answer is Blowing in the Wind while  I sat at Starbucks in Plantation, FL I got up took a walk outside and realized just how things are changing and that stepping outside to listen to nature and slow down for a moment how clear the answers come through.  I asked a question about affecting change and then I sat down to receive the answer and it came with several messages like write about it, make a change in your life, and then spark others to change.  Bob Dylan influenced many to make positive changes and recognized that change is always occurring around us and that the answers are also all around us. When you make a positive change in your life such as eliminating negative people and your own negative thoughts you begin to see things in a better light and then the answers you are seeking become clearer. Sometimes making a change is hard as you feel you are doing the right thing when in reality you are holding yourself back and thus need a spark for change. What or who is sparking a change in you?

Spiritual Awakening: Here Is Your Change?

 Today’s blog post was inspired by David Bowie’s Song Changes in which he realizes that a person can change over time but that person can not change time.

Spiritual Awakening: Here Is Your Change?

As I was making calls for a client today (6/27/12) I began to hear all the exceuses and many of the lack words that I have been avoiding and catching myself when I find myself using them. On one occassion I decided to tell the person you want change here is your change as I could tell that the thing holding them back was their thought process. I wasn’t argumentive I stated if they wer truly serious about making a change then the way they communicated needed to change. The person said thing like I am above average to which I said let’s try having you say I am great at what I do and people pay me top dollar for my services. I have found when you make this small change you and truly believe this that you begin to attract the clients and obtain the bookings that you have been seeking. It is when you change your verbage that you can truly change the outcome to the one you desired.

 Brett Hart of the WWE used to have his catch phrase, I am the best there is, the best that was, and the best there ever will be. One of the first changes one can make to improve their circumstances is to adopt this philosophy for it is when you believe that you are the best at what you do and you carry yourself as such that others will do the same.  The change starts to come when you start to believe and you make changes to fit this new belief.

Spiritual Awakening: What is Your Calling?

 Spiritual Awakening: What Is Your Calling?

A question I am often asked is JDOGG, How do I find my calling? I answer with by seeing what is bringing you joy in your life and bringing joy to others. In finding your calling their may be challenges like the one I had this month where I took a job at a local bowling center and after 10 days was let go and told that I wasn’t meeting the owners expectations. I took this as a sign that GOD had a better plan for me. After I clocked out and told a few people the phone rang and it was another bowling center seeking a volunteer coach. I took this as God’s way of telling me that I was not meant to be behind the counter of a bowling center handing out shoes, and ringing people up for their bowling, but that I was meant to use my gift and coach and thus create joy for myself and others. Eachtime I have left a job or been asked to leave a job I have realized it is one more brick on the path to finding my calling.

 Finding your calling is an everyday path that we walk as we continue to look at how we are spending our day. One way to find your calling is to track your day and make notes about the things that you are doing and the feelings they evoke.
