Way back when I was in high school this was one of the first albums I owned. I didn’t know the message that would be contatined through Frampton’s songs would influence me in my spiritual awakening. By coming alive and using your gifts you reach heights you never imagined. In his book, The Seeker, The Searcher, The Sacred, Guy Finley speaks of awakenings and when somneon’s spirit is awakened and they are conscious of it great things come. There is evidence all around of of awakenings. This will be one of the topic that the speakers at The Spiritual Entrepreneurs Visionary Awards on 3/24/12 at Unity Church will be discussing.
Robin Williams had a memorable show “Reality What A Concept”
Spiritual Awakening: Spiritual Entrepreneurs Visionary Awards What A Concept
As I began to think about it what I was going to write I remembered Robin Williams doing a routine called Reality What a Concept and thus decided to explain the concept of The Spiritual Entrepreneurs Visionary Awards. It all began when myself, Coach Shantel Springer, Founder of www.gratitudecoaching.com, and Barbara Theodosiou, Founder of The Addict’s Mom, www.theaddictsmomgroup.com sat at a table discussing what we can do to bring Spiritual Entrepreneurs together while also helping the community. Shantel mentioned that Marie O’Riordan, The Irish Barbara Walter’s had mentioned creating an award and presenting it to people during The Power of 3 Workshop and thus The Spiritual Entrepreneurs Visionary Awards were born. The date has been set for 3/24/12 from 9 AM – 4 PM at Unity Church in Pomapno Beach.
Is it buying an honor when colleges spend thousands of dollars hyping their athletes for The Heisman Trophy? Is is buying an honor when The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society base their Man and Women of The Year on the amount of money they brought in? Is it buying an honor when The American Cancer Society requires someoneone to raise $1500 to be recognized as a Star Supporter?
As I was out today collecting donations for The American Cancer Society Relay for Life of West Boca Raton I had some instances where I showed some anger. I started to question my own spirituality and wondered is it okay to show anger? I came to the conclusionn that being angry was coming from inside and as a result of angry feelings that I transferred to other people and realized being angry and showing anger wasn’t going to solve anything thus I recentered myself and realized that it was time to assume the attitude of gratitude.
As I was reading one of the many books I have on personal development I came across the concept of being of service and value. I immediately thought of the Zig Ziglar quote “Help enough people get what they want and you get what you want,” and thus started to think what is the one question we should ask everyday in our spiritual awakening and I came up with How am I being of service and value in my personal and professional life? Think for a minute have you helped someone with their goals, have you encouraged them, have you found a way to help others.
These words will lead you to be of service and value.
This will be my first Thanksgiving without my mother, Judith Miller, as she was called home by GOD on July 5, 2012. I am honoring her and giving thanks for the years she was with us by asking people to visit http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogglederman and to make a donation. My Thanksgiving will be spent with my dad and his significant other at The Kings Buffet.
When Thanksgiving arrives and the sunrises it means turning on the tv and tuning into the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and seeing the joy on all the families gathered to celebrate this day of magic that seems to bring everyone together for the common good. For many it is a time for family and friends while for some it is just another day. After viewing the parade it is off to watch football and share time with my Dad and his significant other, Regina. I strongky believe that the elements of Thanksgiving should be shared on a daily basis. Some ways to do this are:
1: Be grateful for the roof over your head and reach out to help those who may not have this luxury
2: Use the magic words thank you when interacting with everyone
3: Write thank you notes just to acknowledge those who are enhancing your personal and professional life
4: Tak a moment simply to call a client and thank them for their support
Spirituality: Thanksgiving Bringing Joy
Despite rain those that attended the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade enjoyed themselves. This made me think what is it that you enjoy about the parade. For me
1: The bands and the entertainers at center stage
2: The Ballons- My Favorite is still Kermit followed by Snoopy
3: The Broadcasters and The Gentlema that does the Voice Overs
There is something magical about waking up early on Thanksgiving and watching the parade and then taking a moment to reflect of all the good that is happening. This year despite some financial challenges I am grateful for the opoortunity to spend time with my Dad and Gina. The energy of the parade and the joy it creates is is amazing as it propels many of us to assume a position of gratitude and thus reminds us that when we come from gratitude we open ourselves up to receive and give. It is in being grateful on Thanksgiving and through out the year that we can create great things.
Snoppy is one of my favorite characters and somehow I get balanced and centered when I see him in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. On this special day of Thanksgiving may you find balance, joy, abundance, peace, love, and happiness in all that you do and may your light of spirituality shine bright on others.
I am often asked JDOGG when did you realize that spirituality meant stepping into your power. My answer is I have been steeping into my power and honing my spirituality all my life. Some examples include:
. Being on The Skipper Chuck Show after I used my power to raise funds for The Muscular Dystrophy Association
. Winning The John H. Armbruster Award from The U.S. Jaycees as a Top 5 Jaycee in America as a result of stepping into my power to serve as a living example of Jaycees Creed
. Receiving The 2008 Hope Award from The South Palm Beach Unit of The American Cancer Society for my powerful dedication to their mission
. Having Governor Jeb Bush Honor me as a Point Of Light Award Recipient for my dedication to community service.
Dr. Wayne Dyer says when you change your thoughts you change your life. This is so true as we begin to change the way we look at things the things we look at change. Think about how you have expanded and where you are today and continue to grow. Reach down inside and reprogram your thoughts. Some steps to do this include:
1: Letting go of painful feelings by writing forgiveness letters
2: Spending quiet time exploring your inner messages and responding accordingly
3: Reading Books
4: Utilizing Affirmations
5: Doing activities that bring joy into your life, such as using oracle cards, attending spiritualy centered events.

The following is a video I wanted to share with you to help you with your spiritual growth. This week let the divine in you be the shining light as you continue your spiritual growth and expanding your horizons.
It is when you begin to awaken that you truly begin to expand your horizons. One way to expand your horizons is through meditation.many ask how to meditate and there is no right or wrong way. I suggest finding a quiet place and getting comfortable and then quieting the mind and just breathing and allowing the thoughts to just flow in and out.
In answering your calling you will begin to expand your horizons and start to see great things happening in your life. By studying and learning more about your own spirituality you will begin to feel the expansion of your mind, body, soul connnection. As you expand you will begin to see changes and these changes will manifest into goodness happening around you.
Spiritual Awakening: More Tools To Expand Your Horizons
1: As mentioned earlier affirmations and quotes are good tools to expand your horizons
Songs often help to expand your horizons as they change the frequency that you vibrate at:
Many times it is simply doing a random act of senseless kindness that help to expand your horizons.
Sometimes I feel myself taking a walk and just appreciating the nature and realizing that everything is in divine order and thus I expand my horizons by begining to understand universal laws more and more.
It is often that we expand our horizons just by being and allowing things to flow and not reacting just appreciating what we are experienceing.
