Spiritual Awakening: I’ve Got Your Manifestation Right Here!!!

Manifestation Quote In the spiritual awakening process it is importance to understand how what we think about we create. As I sat in meditation this morning (1/30/2015) listening to the Chakra Clearing CD by Doreen Virtue I began to feel a sense of calmness and release come over me as I began to understand that with the help of GOD I could bring my thoughts to fruition. After the meditation I sat and I began to do an introspective search as to the way I was going about things and how things were occurring in my personal and professional life. I started to look at how things I had done were manifesting themselves in my life. I started looking at the energy that I was bringing to the events of my life and I realized that when things were challenging I was too attached to the outcome.  I realized that it is great to take action but you must look at how that action will affect others and how it will be perceived. As many of the frequent visitors to this blog know I am very involved with The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of West Boca Raton and my passion for raising money to help cancer patients, their friends, and their families runs very high.  The other day I received an email about the signing up of 8 new teams for Relay  and in my excitement did a reply to all as I thought that as a committee it is important that we support one another and celebrate each other. I asked everyone to please focus on getting more teams and to support the following fundraiser.

Hurricane Grill Give Back The event lead(chair) left me a very angry  voice mail and a very scathing email. I took many deep breaths and I politely expressed to him why I did what I did and he took it as me usurping his power. So I told him in the future I will let you handle all communication. The lesson I learned here is that many people are driven by EGO and thus get angry and because of this many be holding themselves back.  He did make it a point to tell me he was a millionaire  and had his own successes.  As part of the spiritual awakening process I have learned to not take anything personally, and to always do my best. When I detached from the situation and realized that I was dealing with someone who did not understand the idea that it is not about power and position but it is about everyone working together for the common good of the event so that we have a successful event. The way to avoid this in the future is to understand that EGO is edging god out and while many will profess to be following a GOD like path one must remember that not everyone who goes to church is pious and upstanding. When we detach ourselves from the outcome we are able to become better manifesters. In many cases we must come alive and alleviate the fear of walking in and speaking our truth so as to be of service and value to the community. In a way I manifested this because I want my fundraiser to be successful.

Spiritual Awakening: 2015 A Year Of Growth And Expansion!

At 12:00 AM on January 1, 2015 I declared 2015 as The Year For Growth and Expansion. As we are now 27 days into the year I can say that my spiritual growth and expansion coupled with personal growth and expansion is well under way. I had a chance to re examine the way I was doing things and how I was blocking myself from expanding and growing. As I sat in reflection this morning I thought how many people reading this entry are experiencing the same feelings I am that may be holding them back from becoming an action taker? I then realized that there are certain tools being placed before me to help me in my desire to grow personally, professionally, and spiritually. A great example was the gifts my brother and sister-in-law gave me as the tea helps me to relax along with the candle and the CD that I bought with the gift card they gave me. With the utilization of these 3 I have been able to relax and reflect while making some adjustments to the way I do things and in the last 3 weeks I can say I have noticed changes. I now realize when I am not at my best and can accept that and make adjustments accordingly.  I have begun to be cognizant of what serves me and what does not serve me and as a result have been able to improve my life by continuing to make a mind, body, soul connection. As I have written about detaching from the results I have learned that all I can do is put certain things out their and allow for GOD to bring them to fruition.  I have learned that through the spiritual awakening process there will be those who do not honor commitments and who will let you down. When this happens detach from them and separate yourself from them. A new anthem I have is if that person can not bring joy, happiness, and prosperity to you then it is best to cut the chords and never look back.

 When you decide to grow and expand a key element is to commit to not looking back. So many times we get caught up in the might have been, the could of been, or should have been that we hold ourselves back from the growth and expansion that awaits us.  It is important to not look back but at the same time not to look that far forward so you can be in the moment and allow things to flow to you and from you. If you want to have growth you must seek growth and then help others to grow.If you want to have expansion you must be willing to expand and then help others to expand. I have  found that after I sit in reflection and make an effort to let go that life improves. A great reminder is that everything is in divine order just the way it is meant to be.  To make 2015 a year of growth and expansion I recommend that you eliminate the might of been, could have been, and should have been attitude and accept what is and if you do not like it look to GOD to help you change the situation.

Spiritual Awakening: Going The Distance!!!

As many of you who are regular readers of this blog know I am a big fan of The Rocky Movies my favorite being the 1st one.  The character Rocky showed a desire to go the distance because no one had ever gone the distance against Apollo Ccreed. Rocky had this internal spirit that kept him going. Some would call it a spiritual awakening as through his training his life began to change as he gained a romantic interest in Adrienne and saw far beyond her outer appearance. We all know how the movie ended Rocky went the distance and achieved a goal and that led to the second movie where Rocky was granted a rematch with Apollo and he won.  Rocky shows that following a passion and  taking action leads to success. As we go forward in the spiritual awakening process it is important to make a commitment to go the distance and stay on our path allowing things to unfold as GOD has intended.

 The key in being awake and aware and embracing your spirituality is to know that GOD plans for you are far greater than any plans that you may have in store. GOD wants to prosper you and reward you, however you must commit to going the distance with GOD and allow him to lead you to the promised land. In living a purpose driven life guided by GOD in which you create a oneness consciousness you will see great things unfold in your personal and professional life. In waking up and making a declaration that today is the day the lord hath made and I will rejoice and be glad in it you will set the tone to go the distance in all that you do.  In committing to do things with the end in mind and going the distance you will set in motion all that is necessary to manifest the life you desire.

Spiritual Awakening: The State Of Spirituality!!!

quote of the day sri chinmoyAs I watched The State of The Union Address by President Barack Obama I thought would it not be a better world if we became a nation driven by love and compassion and started to detach from the idea of being right or wrong. Through the spiritual awakening process I have learned that if you are loving and caring and genuine in all you do then the results will fall into to place just as GOD has planned. Today I had a conversation with a colleague who is having a tough time and I told him everything is in divine order just the way it is meant to be.  I suggested he detach from outcomes and just let things flow. In allowing things to flow you will see that the state of spirituality is just the way it is supposed to be. I saw this first hand today as I arrived early for my radio interview to represent the Miami Fury Women’s Tackle Football Team.  I was told of a local sandwich shop, Franky’s and  decided to try it out. I walked from the studio and on the way could locate Franky’s so I stopped to ask a business in the area if they could direct me. The lady didn’t speak English but found someone who did and that person directed me. Upon thanking the person who helped me I gave them my business card. In the past I would have been upset that a business person did not speak English but this time I just took a deep breath and allowed things to flow.  I arrived at Franky’s and was given a great greeting and everyone seemed very friendly. Upon finishing a good sandwich I decided to offer to do a quick testimonial and they recorded it and thanked me with a certificate for a FREE Sub the next time I came by. I gave the certificate to the lady at the radio studio as a way to pay it forward. I did the interview and it went well. I left and some how found my way to I-75 north and made it safely back to my neighborhood. In allowing things to flow and letting GOD guide me I had a productive day.

Iyanla Vanzant quotationIn checking our state of spirituality and allowing GOD to touch our soul we are able to take action and move forward in a positive direction toward our dreams and goals. There will be set back because not everyone’s state of spirituality is in alignment with yours. Once we learn that people will allow their human side to interfere with their spiritual side we are able to not take things so personally. By not taking things personally and acting in the best interest of our spirituality we are able to progress and manifest the life we desire. When we realize that the answer lies with in us through our oneness consciousness we are able to allow things to unfold as GOD had planned. As I sat in reflection yesterday I realized that having the gig for The B.I.G. Summit cancelled on me was a blessing a sit allowed me to do what GOD had planned and that was to enrich lives through my TV Show, The Anything Bucket, which airs on Tuesday at 6:30 PM EST on www.wrpbitv.com. GOD also has plans for me to help cancer patients, their friends, and their families and having The B.I.G. Summit Gig canceled for me allowed me to take my time and to gather my thoughts to do an excellent presentation at The Relay For Life Party. Spiritual Awakening: The Change Of The Tide!!!

Where to Go: La Unions Surfing Locations and Tourist SpotsThe year was 2002 and I was a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Buang La Union, Philippines I was well into my path of self discovery and experiencing a spiritual awakening when I discovered the power of the changing of the tide. I had walked about 5 KM from my host family’s house up the beach stopping at a resort to have a snack when I sat peacefully on the seawall watching the waves ebb and flow when I noticed that one of the banka(fishing) boats was coming in and that the crew would struggle to get it to shore so I jumped of the seawall and met the boat a sit came in and the filipino crew seemed frightened at first as they weren’t used to getting help from a stranger but I told them I can help I am pretty strong I lifted the front of the boat and with a few pulls and help from the crew we  brought the boat to shore. The fishermen paid me with an offering of their catch which I brought to my host family to cook. As I reflect back on this moment I am reminded that GOD will put is where we are meant to be so as to be of service and value to others.  Through out the next several months while I served in The U.S. Peace Corps I would have many encounters that would revolve around the change of the tide.  There would be days when I realized that walking back to the host family’s home would be challenging because of high tide and having to dodge waves. It was in these moments that I learned that  you can either wait  for the high tide to pass or you can adjust accordingly.

san luis del mar resort in bauang la union Many a night while in The Philippines this would be my view on my way from The Regional Rehabilitation Center For Youth where I taught Math, English, and Livelihood Skills to the at-risk youth assigned to the center. I would sit on the chair by the water realizing just how grateful I was as not everyone gets to fulfill a dream of traveling to another country and helping other people excel. As I watched the tide come in an out I began to realize that the water represented a flow of life and at anytime that tide can change.  As I became more and more aware of the power of the tide and the vibrational forces of nature i became more productive as I kept myself centered and grounded.

Spiritual Awakening: R-E-L-A-X: Relax

As the day unfolded today this song stuck in my head. As someone who believes in messages as part of the spiritual awakening process I realized it was a message to share the concept of relaxing and letting things flow because in the end the only one who controls things is GOD. Being an action taker I have found myself trying to force things and this was creating some blockages and making accomplishing certain goals  seem impossible. I decided to sit in a hot bath and light some candles and relax and meditate. As a result I was told that the theme of my day should be to relax and just let things flow. It was when I started to let things flow that I experienced more peace and joy and things seemed to get accomplished. In looking at the things I can control and accepting the things I can’r and understanding that when it is all said and done it is GOD’S plan after all.  The key know is to let GOD direct us on our spiritual path towards growth and enlightenment.  In relaxing and worrying less we open up channels that allow us to receive and thus we mover forward in a positive direction towards our goals and dreams.

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is getting ready to kick ... A perfect example of  relaxing and letting it flow happened recently as I ran a spirit nigh for Relay For Life with Tijuana Flats and hadn’t received the check yet so I inquired and received an email that stated a check for $142.59 was mailed to the address on the w-9 which was nit the address I had given them. Instead of getting angry and pointing blame as I would have done in the past I took a deep breath and called The American Cancer Society and explained calmly the situation and they are looking into it and will credit me and my Relay For Life with the donation. It may take some time to post to http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg2, however I can take solace in knowing that it will post and those touched by cancer will be helped with research, education, advocacy, and services. I have also learned hat sometimes people will not follow directions and not to get made at them but to just let it flow.  I have learned that people will also say they are going to donate and not donate so I shouldn’t get mad instead I should relax and know that in the end GOD will sort everything out.

Spiritual Awakening: A New Year’s Cleanse!!!

 As I awoke today (1/1/2015) it was only fitting that it was raining outside. While some would curse the rain  and complain I took it as a sign of  cleansing to start fresh. As the rain continued to fall I thought about growth and the idea of growing and expanding personally, professionally, and spiritually.  If you are to truly expand you need to shrink first and eliminate that which no longer serves you like the rain eliminates the foliage that has died so a tree can have new life and bear fruit you must eliminate that which mo longer serves you. If you are to expand professionally you must shrink your focus to the things that will help you move forward in a positive direction of your dreams. If you have to many things to offer you may be trying to hard to be good at all of them when you can be great at a few of them. In order to expand spiritually you must shrink your focus to 1 or two principles and then master those so that you can build upon them. If you want to become proficient at meditation pick a few spiritual leaders to follow instead of trying to follow every spiritual leader out there. Pick 2 or three that truly resonate with you and study them and then apply their teachings. Instead of attending every seminar that is offered pick one or two that resonate with you. If you have a library of personal or spiritual development books that you are not using  and that can be handed on to others take a moment to clean out the library and begin to shrink down the collection and begin to apply that which truly resonates with you.

 There are many great tools to help you conduct a cleanse for The New Year. One tool I found is this Tibetan Meditation that will help you get center and focused so that you can achieve the goals that you have set forth for 2015. Each day we have an opportunity to cleanse and remove that which doesn’t serve us. Sometimes it is simply clearing our minds through meditation so that we can make better decisions  that will enhance our personal, professional, and spiritual lives.  I have found that after listening to a meditation like this I am able to evaluate many of the aspects in my life effectively as it relates to people, place, or things. If you know someone is toxic to your well being then make it a point to not associate with that person. If you know certain places are bad triggers for your personal and spiritual well being then do your best not to go to those places. If you have things in your life that are detrimental to your well being do your best to eliminate them.  The key is to understand that sometimes shrinking actually expands us personally, professionally, and spiritually.

Spiritual Awakening: Turning The Page!!!

 As I listened to Bob Seger’s Turn The Page I began to think about spiritual growth and how important it is to turn the page and not to hold onto to the past for too long. In the past and up until now I would fret over things and then I would realize that worry holds no purpose for when it is all said and done the only voice that matters is the voice of GOD. Through Studying The Ascended Masters like Jesus I have learned that all we can do is to perform at our highest level in all that we do and glorify GOD. If we do this as we awaken spiritually we move along our spiritual path and will be led to enlightenment.  In our human existence we run into many challenges for our way of doing things is a bit different that what others perceive to normal.  As a spiritual being having a human existence it is important to turn the page and move ahead in our spiritual development realizing that there will always be those who do not understand us and that it is not our job to drag them kicking and screaming onto our path but rather to shine our light that they will want to come along with us willingly.  As I reflect in 2014 I can take solace in knowing that I did what I felt was right in my heart and that I was directed by GOD to make a positive difference in my life and the lives of others.  I came to the realization that though our society judges success by the material things that one has there is more to life than just the materialistic one must have a spiritual compass that allows them to be in tune with their inner divinity. I have  learned that one must have a sense of purpose in order to find success. I have  learned it is not the what you do that matters but the why. I have learned that not everyone will share the level of passion you have and that sometimes people will say they they want to do something but when it actually comes to doing it  they may not come through.
 When I have difficulty in turning the page and moving on I turn to the teachings of spiritual leaders like Don Miguel Ruiz.  The best gift I was given a few years ago was a gift from my mother, The Four Agreements, by Don Miguel Ruiz.  These teachings have helped me and many others to move positively in the direction of our dreams.

 

the_four_agreements It is when we look at these agreements and implement them that we are able to step into the greatness and accept the prosperity that GOD has for us.

Spiritual Awakening: Let It Go!!!

 As 2014 fades in the rearview mirror and 2015 begins to appear in the windshield I think of the most important lesson learned through the spiritual awakening process in 2014, Let It Go!!! The greatest action we can take is to let go of people and things that no longer serve us.  As difficult as it may be to severe relationships that no longer serve us it is necessary if we are to move forward in a positive direction of our goals and our dreams thus allowing us to develop spiritually. In letting go we release negativity that may have  created blockages in our personal and professional life thus allowing us to be open to receive more positive experiences in our life. Sometimes we must take a serious look at the people we associate with and see how they enhance our life and what they are doing to lift us. In looking at the people we associate with we can see a lot of ourselves and if we see flaws in them we can look at those flaws as a reflection of ourselves and do something to improve our own flaws so that we can continue to evolve spiritually. Recently I had a situation with someone who committed to making a donation to The American Cancer Society Relay For Life and when asked for the donation he got all defensive and told me via the phone it is out of my hands I lodged a formal complaint against you with The American Cancer Society. I told him are you friggin kidding me over $18.70 when you are the one who made the pledge. This is someone who was pointing the blame on me say I don’t like your attitude instead of  seeing where he contributed to the problem. I was upset that he forged a complaint and then thought really I have raised $1564.82 so far for The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of West Boca Raton and have  garnered many accolades over my 15 years of fundraising that they will most likely take it from where it came and we will turn the page and move forward. I know I will more than make up for the $18.70 that this man didn’t donate simply by sharing http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg2  and having people make donations. In bringing it up here for the last time I am able to let go and put my energy into the positive things that people are doing  for The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of West Boca Raton.

Spiritual Awakening: 2015 A Year Of Growth and Expansion!

 If we do not stand for something  we will fall for anything. In the spiritual awakening process it is important to understand that what we focus on grows and expands. If you want love in your life you must stand up for love and be loving and caring in all you do. If you want peace in your life you must be able to curb anger and find peaceful solutions. If you want money in your life you must be willing to allow it to flow freely to you and from you. If you want kindness in your life you must be kind to others.  When you declare that you will take action to grow and expand it is important not to make this just merely a statement but a daily practice. As you awaken spiritually and find that you are making a strong mind, body, soul connection you will observe many fundamental changes that will allow you to grow and expand.  I declared 2014 as The Year Of Transformation and each day I worked toward transforming my life so that I would experience personal growth, spiritual growth, and professional growth. As a result of taking daily action and working positively toward my goals I was able to have success as I touched many lives. Through the spiritual awakening process I was able to understand that money is not the main measure of success despite many people looking at the materialistic possessions as opposed to the spiritual gifts that someone may be bringing to the interaction. If you truly are going to grow and expand you must change the mindset and make a commitment to be of value and service. In 2015 it is important to be more alive, more aware and awake, so that you can have a positive effect on you and your community. If one truly is to grow and expand they must look at their thoughts and their decisions and be willing to detach from the past and not project to the future thus living in the moment. By living in the moment and spreading peace, love, joy, and prosperity wherever you go you will find that you are growing and expanding.  In growing and expanding and working on yourself you will experience the entire gamut of emotions. This is okay as it is okay to be laugh, to cry, to be angry, and to have emotions as long as they do not overtake your present moment awareness.  many times our growth and expansion come as a result of our willingness to let go and let GOD. When we get intune with the inner divinity that lies within all of us we become more aware thus allowing for growth and expansion. Through out the spiritual awakening process we will discover that everything is in divine order just the way GOD intended it to be.

Spiritual Awakening: Tools To Help You Grow And Expand In 2015!!!
 One of the greatest tools that I have discovered in the spiritual awakening process is that of meditation.Last night (12/24/2014) I had a not so friendly encounter with someone who professed to be a Christian but was acting very un-christian like. I got angry and then I sat in meditation and I prayed that GOD would forgive him and put compassion and love in his heart. I was having all types of emotional feelings as I really had no one to share Christmas Eve with and I was a bit sad and frustrated, however I realized that I am not the only one who may be experiencing these feelings.I meditated and turned to my inner divinity and the message I received was to let it go and to go forth and shine my light by offering FREE Hugs at my local Starbuck’s On Christmas Day and to take solace in the knowledge that I am a divine child of GOD and GOD Loves me. In 2015 I plan on using meditation as a tool for growth and expansion.

 

be authentic The greatest tool you have is the courage to be yourself and let your light shine. If you are like me and have a zest for life let it come out and don’t care what others may think for those that are meant to resonate with you and your message will get it and thus they will be attracted to you.  If you put yourself out there and stand for peace, love, joy, and prosperity you will encounter haters and that is okay because it means you are doing something right. Don’t  take it personally continue to shine your light and work toward growing and expanding. Remember at the end of the day the only one to please is GOD. When you honor and praise GOD by being true to yourself you will be rewarded.

 

Love › love 240Show love and be caring in all you do and you will see a massive shift in the way you are perceived. Seek the answers through scriptures and you will experience a growth and expansion like you never imagined.
