Spiritual Awakening: Purple Haze!!!

 As you are aware purple is one of my favorite colors as it represents passion, purpose, and royalty. I often find myself in a purple haze as I awaken more and more spiritually. It is said that what we focus on expands. Well I have been focusing on purple lately as it is the official color of The American Cancer Society. I have found myself designing sneakers in purple to enhance my chosen mission to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. I have even had special jerseys designed to wear at The American Cancer Society Relay For Life Events. I have found that when I am wearing my purple sneakers and purple shirts or shorts with a hint of purple that I feel more centered focused and grounded. As a result my fundraising has become more successful. I have found that I am attracting those who want to help to plant the seeds of hope and healing for cancer  patients, their friends, and their families. I have affectionately named my team, Lederman’s Heroes Walking In Memory of JDOGG’s Mom so that people will understand why I am so relentless in my fundraising efforts. I ahve found that when I am laser focused that I create this purple haze of spirituality that leads to success. As of 3:15 PM on March 30, 2016 I am at $784.83 raised for The American Cancer Society Relay For Life.

I am looking forward to rocking this jersey and letting the power of the universe and spirit take over. I am sure they will draw a lot of attention and start many conversations  leading to more people being more aware of what I am doing to create a purple haze. I am also going to be doing Oracle Card Reading at Relay, which will further expose my spirituality to others and allow them to create their own purple haze that will be filled with answers. As we move forward in a positive direction of our dreams by understanding that being in a purple haze is not a bad thing as we are able to go deep inside and get in tune with our inner divinity. When we allow the power represented by purple to flow through us we begin to achieve things that we never thought possible.

Spiritual Awakening: The Great Buffet Of Life!!!

When the word buffet is mentioned most people think of food and all you can eat. What if I told you there is an endless buffet available to each of us to partake in that will nourish our mind, our body, and our soul. It is the great buffet of life which includes healthy food to fuel our body, knowledge to strengthen our mind, and a divine guidance system to build our soul.  When we begin to partake in the great buffet of life we understand that we are divine children of GOD and in order to praise and connect with GOD we must eat what builds our body up and doesn’t break the body down. It is when we take the action to commit to eating better that we will see major improvements physically and mentally. I know that when I am making better food choices I find myself feeling better and thus I am able to be of more service and value to others. So to start enjoying the great buffet of life I suggest you become aware of what you are putting into body and how it is making you feel.

Spiritual Awakening: Walking On Sunshine!!!

 During what may seem to be the gloomiest of times in our lives we have the ability to awaken spiritually and create a walking on sunshine mindset. It s when we choose to see the good in all that is happening for us that we begin to evolve personally, spiritually, and professionally.  It is a matter of what we choose to focus on that will determine how far we journey on our spiritual path as we continue to create the life we desire.  I used to look an how many people saw my posts about Relay For Life and wondered why they weren’t donating at http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg3 then I shifted to an attitude of gratitude and started to show gratitude for those that did visit the website and donate. It was when I decided that no matter what happens I will have a walking on sunshine attitude and detach from any negative thoughts that enter into my mind. I have learned that those meant to donate will donate and by detaching from the outcome the goal I set will be reached by the action that I take. It is when we change our mindset from limiting beliefs to limitless beliefs that that we begin to get that walking on sunshine feeling that allows us to expand and grow thus making a mind, body, soul connection. In having a walking on sunshine attitude we open up the channels that will lead to us having much peace, love, joy, and prosperity in our lives.  As you awaken in the morning create a walking on sunshine mindset and look at how your day unfolds.

White Selenite Heart | Crystals and Gemstones | PinterestI opened the door yesterday (10/28/2015) and there was a package from my brother and sister-in-law. I was so excited to open it  and read the card and see its contents and there it was a whit selenite heart. I opened the bag which contained the heart  and read all about it and as I held the heart I felt a sense of centering and grounding and love. As I closed my eyes and held this heart and meditated I found my heart opening more and more clearing blockages allowing love to flow through me. It was at that moment that I realized it is when we open our hearts that we are able to give and receive love thus allowing us to make a spiritual connection to GOD creating a oneness consciousness that allows us to excel in everything we do. It is when we open up our heart and detach from the past and release our expectations that we are able to take action and make a positive difference in our lives and in the lives of others. When we make love an anthem of ours by opening our heart we allow ourselves to grow personally, professionally, and spiritually. When we open our heart and become loving and caring in what we do we thrive and manifest the life we desire.

Sometimes it is in the smallest gift and gesture that enables us to absorb love and thus open up our heart to make a positive difference in our life and in the lives of others. Spiritual Awakening: 2016 A Year Of Hope And Healing!!!

Healing and Hope | Counselor Blog As 2015 winds down I look back on the declaration to make it a year of  growth and expansion and I realize that so many great things happened for me in 2015 that lead to personal, professional, and spiritual growth. The highlights for 2015 were numerous as I was The Munford Johnson Community Service Award Winner for The City Of Lauderhill, I was an All Star with my fundraising for Relay For Life, I booked many gigs as an emcee, secured PA Announcing and Voice Over Work, and learned that many times in life I was the person responsible for what happens in my life and the importance of not playing the blame game. I can say that in 2015 I grew personally, professionally, and spiritually by becoming an action and paying more attention to the messages I was receiving from GOD, The Ascended Masters, and my angels. In 2015 I became more aware and awake in relation to what I was doing to manifest certain things in my life. I found that I was more in tune with myself and how my energy was affecting the outcomes of projects I was working on. I learned that by following my calling and making changes that I could come alive and as a result make a positive impact on the community. I learned to detach from outcomes and let go of expectations and simply allow things to unfold as they may. As a result my 2015 has been very good. There are 8 days left in 2015 and now I start to look to 2016. I have  declared 2016 to be a year of hope and healing.

The Hope and Healing CenterIn order to make 2016 a year of hope and healing I understand that I must make a commitment to transform instead of to conform. If I am to hold fast to my dreams I must check the emotions at the door and truly practice the principles of being impeccable  with my word, not taking anything personally, not making judgments, and to always do my best. This will mean taking time out to get in touch with my inner divinity and really implementing the idea of making a mind, body, soul connection. I have already begun to make some changes in my life as I have a personal trainer who is helping me to make a body transformation for me know if we look good and feel good we can do good. I have been very cognizant of what I am eating as I realize that what we put into our body has an effect on what we do and how we do it.  I have learned over time that if you are to truly be hopeful and heal you must peel back all your layers and be truthful with yourself. In getting in touch with who you really are you can make incredible inroads to remove the blockages that in the past were holding you back.  As 2016 approaches I suggest you take inventory on where you are and where you want to be and then take the necessary action steps to move you forward on your spiritual path.

Spiritual Awakening: Spreading Holiday Cheer!!!

 As I evolve in my spiritual development I understand more and more that it is not about the presents but being present with GOD. I have always stated that both Christmas and Hanukkah represent miracles thus showing how we are more similar than different. I have come to understand that the best action to take during Christmas and Hanukkah is to be kind and thus let the kindness spread all year round. The key element to spread holiday cheer is to be thoughtful and compassionate in all you do.  It is important to be mindful not only around Christmas and Hanukkah but all year long so as to create a oneness consciousness that will enhance your personal, professional, and spiritual life.

Today I shopped at Celebrity Sports, located at 1825 North Pine Island Road in Plantation, FL, because I do some marketing for them and I knew I would find some great items for my 2 brothers and my sister-in-law. I went to the register and was given a 20% discount. With the savings I will be able to support The American Cancer Society Relay For Life. Http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg3 is the donation page where you can spread some holiday cheer to those touched by cancer.  In doing my shopping and being joyful while I shopped I have been able to create positivism wherever I go. I have been rewarded in different ways as a result of spreading holiday cheer. The other day i went out to my car and before I got in I looked down and there was a silver dollar by the door. I looked to heaven and thanked my angels, GOD, and Jesus. Through out the day I found myself wishing people Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas and my day seemed to flow better.  The next day i was out and about in the community and someone in line bought me my iced tea and yogurt.  This had me thinking if kindness begets kindness why are more people not spreading holiday cheer? I then began to think how can I better become an ambassador of kindness and spread holiday cheer? The answer was simple continue to be the joyful, loving, compassionate person that I am and allow others to see my actions. I have found that one simple act of kindness can be felt across the world and can positively impact those we come in contact with. It is when we truly make the concept of Hanukkah and Christmas a year round practice that we grow.

 Each time I hear this song I am reminded that it can be a great tool to help us be loving and caring not only around the holidays but at all times.

I like to use this as a tool to spread holiday cheer because you can  not help but sing a long to it and thus create a festive mood wherever you are.

Spiritual Awakening:Presents For Everyone!!!

 

 As I sit down to write this entry I am at my local Starbucks thinking how important it is to have present moment awareness. It is when you become aware and awake that you can be of service and value to all you come in contact with as each interaction can lead us further on our spiritual path as messages come in all shapes and sizes and from many different sources. It is when we detach from all the accouterments that are connected to the material appearance  and we look for the spiritual gifts that we are able to make a mind, body, soul connection that leads to a oneness consciousness making our world a better place. If we realize that yesterday is gone and tomorrow may not come we are able to focus on the present and thus lead a life that is filled with much peace, love, joy, and prosperity.  It is when we plan our work with the help of GOD that we begin to manifest the life that we desire. When we become an action taker and realize that it is GOD’S plan not ours that should take priority we begin to attract all that we need to exceed our goals and thus create abundance and bliss in our life and in the lives of others.  Being in the present and being guided by GOD will serve you well as you continue on your spiritual journey.  As Rihanna states in this song we will never get yesterday back and tomorrow is far away but we have today. Today is a day where you can make positive changes in your life thus creating a positive shift in the lives of others by simply being a present for someone as you live in the present. You can be the one who buys coffee for the person behind you or the one who lets the elderly person in line go in front of you. The greatest gift you can give is kindness to someone who can not repay you. In being kind you create an opening for kindness to flow to you.

 When we realize the best gift to give is the gift of kindness we change the world. It could be a simple gesture or taking a moment to visit http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg4 to make a donation. In being kind and being a cheerful giver you open up channels to receive and you will get a feeling that will lift you up and fuel you to achieve more than you ever thought possible. From Holding a door to holding someone’s hand while they cross the street acts of kindness will shift the collective consciousness of the community thus creating a world that will be filled with love and compassion.

Another great present is the gift of love. If we can not do big thing let us do small things with great love. It is when you find ways to be loving and caring even in the face of adversity you will see that love is the answer and your life will greatly improve.  It is when we are able to hold even the most grating person in a position of love that we are able to cope with the many challenges that are presented in our life. I have learned over time that instead of getting angry to look at things and laugh and hold sacred space for those creating difficulty for they know not what they do.

Spiritual Awakening: Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself!!!

Ice Cube made the  phrase you better check yourself before you wreck yourself a common part of the pop culture vernacular when he introduced it as one of his rap songs. As I watched the craziness of Black Friday unfold today (11/27/2015) I thought come on people you need to check yourself before you wreck yourself. I saw all types of madness as I went to pick up my blood pressure medicine at Walmart as people were driving the wrong way up and down the parking lot, arguing over parking spaces, and then yelling at employees because the 40 TVs that were available were gone. I started to think  about how now more than ever the world need a spiritual awakening.  I pick up my medicine and went to my car and the madness escalated as a man was speeding through the parking lot in his jeep. I took it slow and made it over to Starbucks and found a semblance of order as I settled in to write this blog entry and relax.  As all the madness was happening around me I took deep breaths and stuck to my purpose for the afternoon, which was to write this entry and to promote The American Cancer Society Relay For Life.

My advice to everyone is that when things seem to be going in a negative direction. Think how can I make it a positive, reflect on what you did to positively impact the situation in the past, and then act. As I walked in to pick up my medicine at Walmart I had already decided that regardless of the actions of others I was going to smile and take everything in stride and laugh at all those who have been influenced by coming from a position of lack and I was simply going to be grateful that I had the ability to pick up and pay for my medicine and that I had the opportunity to go to Starbucks and write to further my mission of creating a world with less cancer and more birthdays. I made a conscious decision to not buy into any of the negative energy that may be intruding into my life and that I would remain positive knowing that I was taking action to move in a positive direction toward my dreams. As I watched the madness of Black Friday I thought wouldn’t it be great if these people were exposed to spiritual teachings that show that there is enough for everyone and if GOD wants you to have the 55″ inch TV or other material things he will provide in due time. I found it interesting that people got up and managed to be at Walmart at 5:00 AM and can’t make it to church that starts at 10 AM. It was then that I realized there are action takers and excuse makers. I also realized how the media has managed to manipulate the general public and thus a great need for people to get in touch with their inner divinity.  I thought what of instead of everyone rushing out to Black Friday they rushed out to help feed the homeless not just on Thanksgiving but all year round or instead of spending on material things they all gathered in nature and planted trees and came together to help one another.  What if we stopped focusing on the material things and stated focusing on ways to be of service and value to one another. It is time we check ourselves and leave GREED, GLUTTONY, and SLOTH at the door and start to find ways to bring peace, love, joy, and prosperity into our lives pr we will be wrecking ourselves. It is time to look for ways to spread kindness like visiting http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg3 and making a donation, holding the door open for someone, or letting someone go ahead of you in line.  It is time to stop trying to find happiness through material things and start to find the happiness that resides inside of you.

In many of the spiritual teachings there is one common truth that if you are truly to evolve spiritually you must let anything that no longer serves you go. You must take action to eliminate all things that block you form experiencing peace, love, joy, and prosperity in your life. In many cases it means moving on from jobs and activities that you thought were helping you but in reality were only hindering you. If you are to grow personally, professionally, and spiritually you must be committed to moving forward and not turning back. I have  learned many important lessons over the last few weeks. One of those lessons was to truly research who you associating yourself with so as to avoid being taken advantage of in your personal and professional life. I have learned that if you do not value yourself no one else will and if someone doesn’t value you it is time to say to bad, so sad, don’t let the door hit you where the good lord split you and then do not turn back. I have began to implement Don Miguel Ruiz’s Fifth Agreement and question everything. I have begun to peel back the onion and see things for what they are. I have also come to realize that there are many people who will claim to come from a spiritual base but in reality are only using the guise of spirituality to get over on others. I have also learned that when deciding to move on and not turn back it is goof to consult GOD, The Angels, and The Ascended Masters.

 Whomever you have a spiritual relationship with call it GOD, Jesus, Spirit, Source, Jehovah, or anything else it is important to tap into your inner divinity and not look back once you have committed to let it go and not turn back. If we look forward and commit to living a righteous life and being of service and value we will see some divine changes in our life that will help to create a oneness consciousness that then allows us to shine our light and illuminate the world. Along the way there will be people who are not as evolved as you who will try to use you for your spiritual gifts not understanding that your spiritual gifts have value. There will be those who pretend to appreciate you but in reality they are only using you so it is important to discover this and eliminate these people as they will not be of service to you in your quest to be a global citizen of the world spreading peace, love, joy, and prosperity everywhere you go. Let these types of people go and don’t turn back.

Spiritual Awakening: I Like It On Top!!!

As I awaken more and more through the spiritual awakening process I realize that it is not about rankings but the feeling you have when you see yourself as being on top of the world. A few years ago I was asked JDOGG how is it that year in and year out you are a top ranked fundraiser with Relay For Life? My answer was that because I don’t put being #1 as a goal and I just take action and allow things to flow as they are intended to flow according to GOD’S plan. I stated once that I wanted to be #100 in fundraising because if I raise $2,500 and 99 people are ahead of me that means we impacted more lives and raised more funds for research, education, advocacy, that will save loves. This philosophy has helped me to become more successful in my fundraising activities as I feel on top of the world because I am inspiring and empowering people through my activities and showing them that what the mind can conceive, the heart can believe, you can achieve. I have shifted my thoughts about fundraising from I have to raise money to I get to raise money. As a result I have found more success as I now detach from the outcome and am grateful for any donations I receive. I used to get upset when results weren’t what I expected today I just let things flow and happen and do not put expectations on things and as I let go and let GOD I find myself on top of the world.

It is when you know that GOD is for you and no one can be against you that you can be on top of the world. I was sitting in reflection and meditation on Sunday (11/8/2015) and I realized that since I was 11 years old and hosted my first fundraiser that I possess the ability to be on top of the world. As I came out of the meditation I took a walk around my condo and I saw all the different awards I have amassed as I walk in my truth and show people that service to humanity is the best work of life. I saw my National Armbruster Award from The U.S. Jaycees when I was named one of the top 5 Jaycees in America in 1995 and I realized all the action that was taken and how many lives were impacted. The journey to getting this recognition was very challenging but well worth it. I believe this is where I had my first spiritual awakening as I detached from the overall outcome and realized that if GOD wanted me to gain this recognition GOD would make it so and if not GOD had a better plan for me. I then saw my HOPE Award from The American Cancer Society that I earned in 2008 and realized that I made a difference in the lives of those touched by cancer. In 2014 I was awarded The Community Service Award from S.A.K.E. from The City of Lauderhill. All these awards remind me of the importance of being of service and value while walking my spiritual path thus allowing me to feel as though I am on the top of the world.
