Spiritual Awakening: What Is At The End of Your Rainbow?
Forget food trends eat the rainbow. This post was inspired by Becca Tebon, The F.I.T. Preneurs, who was on Get Motivated Withe Jonathan JDOGG Lederman, which is heard on Monday from 7-8 PM EDT at www.blogtalkradio.com/hrafnstongradio, and made the statement about to be healthy you want to eat the rainbow. I then began to comtemplate what is at the end of the rainbow and I determined it was not just a pot of gold but a pot also filled with better health and wellness. Being in good health and having good physical and mental wellness are an integral part in expanding the mind, body, and soul connection. The following is a guide to help you eat the rainbow.
Eating healthier and making better choices will lead to your pot of gold as studies have shown that healthier people tend to make more money than unhealthy people.
I have often said it is when we look at the world with love and put our love glasses on that great things happen. What are you doing to put your love glasses on? I have this ritual in the morning where I look in the mirror and I say I love me and today I will show love to others. Sometimes it is difficult as people come into my life through the day that can be challenging, it is at those times when I take a deep breath and do my best to be loving.

I listen to Janet Lee Kraft’s Love is The Highest Way and I am reminded that we should be loving and caring in all that we do. As you shift to love many great things begin to unwind and you begin to see things in a different light. The light of love begins to open more doors and create a better life. There are many ways to spread love.

Spiritual Awakening:Oscar Pistorious, Gabby Douglas Inspiring The World
OscarPistorius became the first amputee track athlete to compete in the Olympics & he advanced to the 400-meter semifinals after finishing second in his heat. His triumphant story continues to inspire the world. He was treated like a child with 2 legs growing up his mother would tell his brother put on your sneakers and Osccar put on your legs and if your brother climbs a tree you climb the tree. I have found Oscar’s story to be one of inspiration showing people that regardless of obstacles you can overcome and achieve greatness.
How many times have you been told you can not do something or have you allowed your negative self talk to get in the way? For Oscar Pistorious his taking of action and training to become a top athlete despite the obstacle of being a double amputee holds a message of hope and achieveent for all as we continue to step into our greatness. Their is something very spiritual about watching this man compete as you can feel the energy he brings to life come through the TV. The positive vibes that he gives off enhances all those who watch. So the next time you think you can not do something think of Oscar and all he has overcome and go for it.
Gabby Douglas’s journey to the Team Gymnastics Gold and The Olympic All Around Gold was paved with much sacrifice as she moved from her mother’s home across country to DesMoines, Iowa to train. Her mother a single mom made many sacrifices so Gabby could train to become an Olympian. Her older sister encouraged her not to quit the sport when she wanted to walk away. Gabby stuck with it and in London performed exquistely to capture 2 gold medals. Gabby’s comments after winning The Women’s All Around only solidifies the idea that we are guided by a higher being. What is your higher calling and what sacrifices will you make to be a shining light of hope to others.

Spiritual Awakening:What Are You Wishing and Hoping For?
Today I celebrate my 47th year on this earth and it is my first birthday without my mother, who passed on July 5, 2012. I have been asked today what I want and I have answered very simply for people to click on LOVE DONATIONS on this page and make a small donation to honor my mother’s memory as that would be the greatest gift that anyone could give me this year as I would be able to send the donations in memory of my mother to the two designated charities and say wow we had an awesome virtual ceebration where people who wished for a world with less cancer and more birthdays took action and made a positive impact on the lives of others.
Rose Royce expresses the idea of wishing on a star. It is when you take your wish and take action steps that you begin to see it unfold in front of you and many times it will amaze you when you see where your wishes and hopes take you. In my life there have been people who have tried to squander my dreams, I have since used the next button and moved on understanding that there are those who are dreamweavers and those who are dream stealers. Who are you surrounding yourself with?
Spiderman had Peter Parker, Batman had Bruce Wayne, and Superman had Clark Kent. Each character illustrates a transformation from who they were perceived to be to who they could become. How do you use your alter ego to transform yourself and create the spiritual well being that you seek. At times we may become conflicted because of our alter ego or the duality we feel we must face as we are affected by the thoughts and beliefs of our childhood and the fear of being a bit different than what is perceived as normal. We often ask ourselves what role must I play? How must I act in this situation because of fear. many times we create an alter ego to compensate for our short comings and we begin to discover who we truly are and we do some deep introspection and discover that we are who source desires us to be. We all play a role in this and despite our duality at times we become the shining lights of hope for others.
I have stated many time that by being an action taken and fololwing your anthem that you will have an awakening and see how source strikes again. This was evidenced this week as I attended a dinner at The Victory Christian Center in Boca Raton as part of The Celebrate Recovery Program. I was invited by my friend Dale, who I had seen in a while and it was time to catch up and share as we both had just experienced the passing of someone close, for me it was my mother for her her brother. She had told me I was covered, meaning that my meal was free, however when I arrived I took $3 and put it into the donation basket. The evening ended and I didn’t even think about the $3 I donated until yesterday (7/26/12) as I was leaving a client and had just received my check for services rendered when her husband handed me $30. I started to remember the passages that speak about when you give it is returned ten fold. This is what inspired this post Source Strikes Again. Spiritual Awakening: How To Connect With Source?
Many times we are destined for a calling that source has given us all the tools to pursue and bring to fruition, however we may not be connected or open to receive at that time and as a result we put up road blocks instead of making the connection with source. Some may call it the God Connection, The Jesus Connection, The Source Connection, The Buddha Connection, or something else. The key is that you tap into this amazing power that is inside of you that the world is in desire of. The question now is How To Connect With Source? There are many ways.
As I listened to the song Circle of Life from the movie, The Lion King, I was reminded about some of the occurances over the last several weeks, which have reminded me to cherish each moment and to enhance people’s lives by simply being a positive force for them to turn to. The last 4 weeks have been a true awakening with the passing of Kathy Dedek, my mother, and the mudslide that took Dr. Lynn Migdal’s home in British Columbia along with her ex-husband passing as a result, her two daughters are still missing and we hold out hope that they will be found alive.
As I sat and questioned GOD the answer came as it is the circle of life. As I began to meditate on this I began to realize that we come into this world as dust and we leave this earth as dust. The circle of life is an easy concept to grasp however the questions many as we live our lives as spiritual beings having a human experience. Many times it just takes a moment of introspection to understand how we are all intertwined in the universe and that the circle of life does not end in the passing of someone it continues for them in the spiritual world, where they can be of service to those left behind. The signs that I have seen in the last 10 days since my mother’s passing have shown me that she is okay and doing things from the other side. Her legacy of sharing and caring liveson in my deeds an each day I find a way to hold a sacred space for her in my mind and my heart. She may not be with me physicallly, however the signs that I have encountered truly show me that she is looking out for me.

Spiritual Awaening: Removing Emotional Baggage
Before we begin to remove emotional baggage we must first define what emotional baggage is.
Emotional baggage can be defined as ‘Painful memories, mistrust and hurt carried around from past sexual or emotional rejection’.[1]
It is an image of ‘a big sack that you carry around with you at all times…[with] every disappointment, trauma, and wrong that you’ve ever experienced….This image, the metaphor of emotional baggage, has penetrated our culture’.[2]
What emotional baggage are you carrying? Well it is now time to unpack and only keep the things in you bag that will serve you and help you become a better person personally and professionally.
It is time gto throw that suitcase away and release the emotional baggage that may be holding you back. We all have had pain for some it is physical, some mental, and for some both. The events of our life that we couldn’t control can no longer be allowed to control us. What ever the painful memory is it is time to find a way to let it go for when you let it go and release your emotional baggage you can move forward. Many times we hold onto to things emotionally and we find ourselves in a rut because we have associated all these negative emotions with the situation. It is time to become an action taker and do something to remove the emotional baggage. It can be as easy as adopting a new song to help you get over the situation and remove the emotional baggage. Spiritual Awakening: A Mother’s Love
As I turned to leave my mother, who is in ICU after suffering a heart attack she said I Love You. I could see that it hurt her just to talk. Over the last 3 years my mom has been through a lot from being diagnosed with non-operable metastatic lung cancer and beating that to yesterday( 6/28) having a heart attack. As I left I started to recall all the time my mother has been there for me and began to let go of some of the baggage that I held about times and circumstances that no longer serve me. As I unlocked my car with tears rolling down my face I felt a cleansing happening and my tears subsided as I realized how lucky I am to have my mother still of this earth and as I focused on her loving me and being grateful for that my day began to improve and my worries subsided. This gave me the inspiration to write this blog entry and to help others to appreciate their mother’s love and to help mother’s realize that we are always your kid and we will always love you. For those whose mother may not be of this earth anymore I remind you that you carry her love in your heart and can communicate with her anytime you wish just by opening up your heart and speaking to her as she is your angel.

Spiritual Awakening: Here Is Your Change?
As I was making calls for a client today (6/27/12) I began to hear all the exceuses and many of the lack words that I have been avoiding and catching myself when I find myself using them. On one occassion I decided to tell the person you want change here is your change as I could tell that the thing holding them back was their thought process. I wasn’t argumentive I stated if they wer truly serious about making a change then the way they communicated needed to change. The person said thing like I am above average to which I said let’s try having you say I am great at what I do and people pay me top dollar for my services. I have found when you make this small change you and truly believe this that you begin to attract the clients and obtain the bookings that you have been seeking. It is when you change your verbage that you can truly change the outcome to the one you desired.
Brett Hart of the WWE used to have his catch phrase, I am the best there is, the best that was, and the best there ever will be. One of the first changes one can make to improve their circumstances is to adopt this philosophy for it is when you believe that you are the best at what you do and you carry yourself as such that others will do the same. The change starts to come when you start to believe and you make changes to fit this new belief.
