One of the terms I have come to learn in the promotional and marketing realm is SWAG, which refers to the free items you get at events from different vendors. SWAG is also short for Swagger used to describe the way someone carries themselves. As I put on my Chuck Taylor Purple Beat Cancer Sneakers I began to see how getting your swag on can determine how people perceive you. Many have admired my sneakers and they have opened up a line of communication that has allowed me to interact with people and share my story. As a result I have attracted many people who want to help me on my mission to plant the seeds of hope and healing for cancer patients, their families, and their friends. As I walked into many businesses I saw people looking at my sneakers and I smiled and many made positive comments and I realized as I shine my light and get my swag on I have the chance to illuminate the world one person at a time. I have come to understand that when you get your swag you must be prepared to instill a philosophy of some will, some won’t, so what, some waiting, next as it is not your job to drag people kicking and screaming to your way of thinking but to simply shine your light bright for others to see thus giving them permission to shine their light. It is when you get your swag on that you can have a great influence on people and thus show the world that service to humanity is the best work of life.
When you decide to take action and get your swag on it is important that when you carry yourself with confidence and begin to assert yourself it is important to understand that not everyone will resonate with the way you do things or your message. Also remember the most successful people in the world were those that were seen as different or a bit out there as their thoughts were not mainstream however those who thought differently and implemented their ideas were the people that changed the world.
As I sat at Starbucks today watching the baristas make many holiday drinks I began to think about making a Christmas Milkshake. I stated to think what would be in The Christmas Milkshake and I thought a dash of candy cane to represent the kindness that Christmas brings out, some heart shaped candies to show the Love of Christmas, some whip cream to exhibit the sweetness of Christmas, some snowflake shaped ice cream to represent the Joy of Christmas, some green gummy bears to show the abundance and happiness of Christmas. In the end it would be blended to illustrate the concepts of peace, love, joy, and prosperity.
After I made The Christmas Milkshake I would make sure there was enough for everyone and I would share it in hopes that the spirit of Christmas would be held in everyone’s heart and that through out the year they would take action to bring peace, love, joy, and prosperity into their personal, professional, and spiritual lives. I would also invite people to come and enjoy The Christmas milkshake while listening to not only upbeat Christmas songs but also to motivational and inspirational music. Imagine the spiritual connections that could be made if we all just sat down and shared a Christmas milkshake. What would you put in your Christmas Milkshake?

One day when the world has a spiritual awakening we will all realize that we are one. We are all made in the image of GOD with a divine purpose and calling and must honor and praise GOD and be of service and value to those we come in contact with so that we can create a world that is full of positivism. We muss start by checking our ego at the door and seek ways to improve the lives of others thus improving our own lives personally, professionally, and spiritually. One day we will see only positive things being reported on the news and people beginning to help one another. This shift can occur if we all begin to subscribe to Don Miguel Ruiz’s Four Agreements.
Imagine if we had these four agreements plastered all over our schools, in our government buildings, and in public places and started a movement to create more positivism in our world. Imagine of we started to look beyond the outer and into the inner and saw people as divine children of GOD and began to interact with people and finding ways to help each other. What if we put all of our preconceived notions and judgments aside and started getting to know people on a cellular level and connecting with positive vibrations. Things would get easier and brighter.
Each day we all have an opportunity to make things easier and brighter our actions can create an avalanche of positivism that leads to hope and healing. each day we wake up we should ask ourselves what can I do to add value to someone else’s life. By helping others and being a lifter you will be lifted. When we realize that times are changing and we must be more loving and compassionate our world will change.
As you move further along your spiritual path remember to keep your flame burning so when your time comes you can go down in a blaze of glory. In an effort to create our glorious life we must be will to set things a blaze and find that fire that creates a blaze of glory. Our first phase in creating that blaze of glory is to take action on our passion and thus move in a positive direction toward success. As you begin to define what success means to you you will feel a fire begin to grow inside of you that when you fan the flames you will have a life filled with glory. As I reflect on my life I can see how all the great things that have happened for me have happened because of the actions taken to glorify GOD and show the world that service to humanity is the best work of life. Over the course of my spiritual journey I have come across many songs that have enhanced the awakening that I am experiencing. This song by unspoken has served as one of my anthems to continue to spread a message of positivism.
I have come to understand that as long as there is a burning ember inside of you it is enough to create an inferno that can not be stopped. Once that fire is started and you understand the purpose behind the fire and you become laser focused there is not anything you can not do. I have learned that when you plan out your work and work your plan and make the adjustments along the way that you emerge victorious. When you choose to go down in a blaze of glory you will see a massive change in your personal, professional, and spiritual life as you begin to change and come alive as you make the mind, body, soul connection. I have found that when I am focused on making a positive impact on the community and detached from the outcomes that I am able to make dreams come true. I have found the best way to create a blaze of glory is to remove emotional connections and not to project your thoughts on any of the issues but instead to allow things to flow. When it is all said and done all that matters is that you lived a life on purpose and did no harm and left the physical world better than you found it. The flame you ignite today will spark a positive shift that will impact many in the future. It is s aid the greatest gift we can give is to plant a tree whose shade we will never enjoy but others will. I have learned over time that what we do for ourselves will die with us but what we do for others will live on long after we are gone.
Gold opened at $1,127.13 today and I started to think about how focused we get on our self worth and came up with the answer tot he question of what are you worth. The answer is I am worth more than GOLD. I started to examine what my response truly meant as it relates to a spiritual awakening and the message I received was simple that you are worthy and you are enough and that GOD knows you are worth more than gold. As I delved more and more into the idea of self worth I began to realize that many people do not value themselves highly enough and thus are struggling with their personal, professional, and spiritual growth. To combat this I suggest that you start believing that you are worth more than gold and that you are deserving of all the greatness coming your way. I have learned that when you create the worth more than gold mindset that you can overcome any adversity that comes your way. Many times all you need to understand is that you are a divine child of GOD and GOD doesn’t make any junk. Begin to process the fact that you are a valuable person and that you have a talent that will serve the world in a great way and you will begin to see great changes in your life as you are worth more than gold.
One of the anthems I have adopted that has helped me to take action is this song by Britt Nicole, Gold. It has helped me to realize just how important it is to value yourself as I have learned if you do not value yourself no one else will.

Affirmations have proven to be a great tool in forming the worth more than gold mindset while staying centered, grounded, and focused.
It is when you expose yourself to the spiritual teachings and embrace the spiritual gifts that you have been given by GOD, The Angels, and The Ascended Masters that you begin to release your attachment to materialistic things and realize that none of your earthly possessions really matters. What really matters is the fact that you can knowingly and authentically state that you are living a life of purpose that is bringing service and value to the world. The other day i heard people bragging about their cars and I thought well you can not eat your car and you can not feed others with your car. I then thought your car could bring to places to get food and buy food for others but at the end of the day that fancy BMW, Bentley, Mercedes, or Lamborghini is going to get you to the same place as my Chevy Cobalt. These same people then started to speak about their fancy homes and their mortgages and I thought wow do you really need a five bedroom home if you are single. Then they all began to complain about the bills that came with the cars and the fancy homes. I again thought if all this materialistic stuff isn’t bringing you happiness maybe you need to expose yourself to what the root of the issues are. In taking action to expose yourself to what the root issues are you will see that it isn’t always about materialistic possessions or your surroundings it is about who you truly are and embracing that person and then exposing yourself more and more peeling away the layers that have led to the blockages that are stopping you from moving forward.
On of the greatest ways to move forward is to consult clergy after you do this self assessment.Once you expose yourself and get naked with yourself you will find it easier to come alive and be of service and value to your community. In removing the fear of what you might find out you will be able to become more and more detached from the concept of being right and start to do the right thing. In exposing yourself you will able to more effectively move in the direction of your dreams. In doing a self assessment you will begin to see what emotions are hindering you and what emotions are helping you. The key is to continue to understand who you are and what is your calling is and to work toward answering that calling.

Many times when I need to expose myself to new messages or new teachings I will purchase some spiritual candles and light them while I sit in prayer and meditation. I will quiet my mind and thus I able to get centered and grounded and receive the messages that are designed for me.
Spiritual Awakening: When A Loss Is Actually A Win!!!
For those of you who follow me on Facebook or have liked my fan page or joined one of my groups you know that I was nominated for a John C. Maxwell Leadership Award. I was honored to be nominated for this prestigious honor in the community service category. When I was notified that I made the top 100 I was elated as my message of service to humanity being the best work of life was being heard. I did not make it to the top 30 which had me thinking is this a loss or a win and I concluded it was a bit of both as i didn’t make the top 30 which can be viewed as a loss but I did gain tremendous insight into areas of my life that need to be improved so this was a win. As I reflected and meditated on the entire experience I realized that in the spiritual awakening process what we may perceive as a set back can actually be a spring board for personal and spiritual development. I have come to learn that there are times in our life when what we perceive as losing is actually winning because setback allow us to have step ups. Sometimes it is as simple as looking at what did I learn from the process? In the case of The John Maxwell Leadership Awards I learned that making a positive impact is important and putting yourself out there in an authentic manner by walking in your truth can be a very cathartic experience. I learned that as long as you are shining your light others will see that and recognize that so you do not have to brag because there are many people who will recognize your greatness. I also learned that when you are following your calling and tapping into your divine guidance system that everything will work out and you win in the end.
Through out the spiritual awakening process you will face many challenges. Many of these challenges will seem like losses when in reality they are lessons to move you forward along your path that will lead you to prosperity and greatness. I remember when I was competing with The Jaycees in The John H. Armbruster Competition which is a resume writing and interview skills competition based on the community service work done with The Jaycees and I didn’t make the call backs the first time out but I went home and practiced and started to do more and more work with my Jaycees Chapter and the next time out I made the finals (callbacks) and I finished #2 and at the end of the year I finished #2 again and missed out on a trip to The U.S. Jaycees National Competition. I could have quit and said okay #2 is good enough but I didn’t as I had a goal to represent The Florida Jaycees on a National Level. I worked very hard and began to tap into my divine guidance system and in 1995 I made it to The U.S. Jaycees National Armbruster Competition. Not only did I make it to the competition I was named one of The Top 5 Jaycees in America. This is another example of when a loss can actually be a win. I learned to persevere and continue to go after a goal so as to grow professionally, personally, and spiritually. Many times on our journey there will be times when we perceive to have lost but in reality we won because we never gave up and we moved forward in a positive direction of our dreams. Many times a loss gives us the motivation to continue to chase our dreams and thus we create a win.
As I was emceeing The Florida Initiative For Suicide Prevention 5k Hugs For Hope event today (5/9/2015) I saw a shirt worn by one of the teams that read Spread The Sunshine. This became the theme as I announced the runners finishing, which then turned into doing shout outs as people would tell me the runner’s name and I would build them up and encourage them. I then had the opportunity to deliver a message of HOPE before giving out the medals. After handing out the medals and waiting for my payment many people came up to me and complimented me on how great my message was. One woman told me that my comment about the two things that matter in life are if you lived your life with joy and if your life brought joy to others moved her to tears. As I arrived at Starbucks I put out my Oracle Cards to see if it would stimulate conversation and help to make connections thus creating a positive shift and encouraging people to spread the sunshine.
Inside all of us is a divine energy that allows us to spread our inner sunshine and thus we can light up the world and make an effective change. As I emceed the event today I challenged the crowd to meet someone they didn’t already know. I then went to Starbucks and put this into practice and I met a record producer and we had a great conversation and he told me to give him a call. When you reach out and spread your sunshine you put out an energy that radiates to others to let them spread their sunshine. In making the mantra I will spread my sunshine into a daily anthem you will begin to see opportunities present themselves that will allow you to grow personally and professionally. It is when we use the lessons of the ascended masters to awaken spiritually that we are able to tap into our inner divine sunshine and answer our calling by taking action to be of service and value to others. In committing to spread the sunshine you put yourself in a position to come alive and help the community. In helping the community you begin to help yourself.

During the spiritual awakening process I have come to realize that we are all magical and mysterious in our own right. I have come to believe that we all can do magic. It may not be the magi is the sense of an illusionist because our magic touches hearts of others and can be felt as we continue to tap into our spirituality and commit to being of value and service. The magical and mystical you can manifest the results you desire in your personal and professional life simply by being your authentic self. The magic happens when you find your purpose and take action which then leads to success. Last night (4/16/2015) I was at Panera Bread for a committee meeting for The American Cancer Society Relay for Life of West Boca Raton waiting for the staff partner to show up. Due to circumstances beyond the control of the staff partner the staff partner wasn’t able to make the meeting. Something told me to take control and run the meeting which I did and it ran effectively. When the meeting ended I made a call to a potential participant and a patron at Panera Bread heard me and came over and asked if we took donations and of course I said yes. She put $5 in the collection canister and we got to talking about how cancer had touched her family. In being my authentic self I attracted a donation. When I arrived home there was a text from one of the committee members complimenting me on the way I ran the meeting. As I laid down to sleep I realized that when you are in alignment with the universe and doing something with purpose being your authentic self without any attachment to the results magic happens. How many times have you realized that it is when you are the magical mystical you that you create results that far exceed your expectations.
In the spiritual awakening process it is important to find those who will join you on your magic carpet ride while you tap into your inner divinity that will allow you to become the magical mystical you that GOD intends you to become. In every action you take remember that you hold the key to make every moment a magical moment. Every encounter you can can help in creating the magical mystical you that attracts the people and things desired to create your best life. Sometimes it is just a matter of inviting people to go on this magic carpet ride with you. In finding people who share your vision and who understand the magical mystical you one can create magic in all you do.
Many times people will say JDOGG It Is Time To Work Your Magic and I’ll think okay I’ll do my best. I emcee many events for charitable causes and there is something magical about captivating an audience and giving them a reason to dig deep into their wallets and purses and make a donation. In be my mystical and magical self I am able to be of service and value and thus find a self of joy and accomplishment knowing that I used my GOD give talents for good. As frequent readers of this blog know I am very involved in The American Cancer Society Relay For Life and I often find opportunities to solicit donations that others don’t even think about. I think this is because I have learned that I can release the fears by facing everything and rising and not worrying about the things that used to hold me back from taking action. It is amazing what happens when you commit to creating magical moments and then you take action and watch the greatness that unfolds.
Sometimes we need a wake up call to remind us that it is necessary to just let things go because GOD has a better plan or solution in store for us. Today (3/16/15) was such the case as I wa sin a pretty bad way after having an up and down weekend as games were cancelled that i was supposed to announce which would have given $200 that would have improved my financial position. With the games being cancelled it did free me up to help with some fundraising for The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of West Boca Raton, which was great and I am now at $2204.61 raised. I should have been very happy but the human worry about cash flow was weighing heavy on my mind and heart as I haven’t had steady employment for over 2 1/2 years and today I started questioning if all I was doing was worth it as many of my activities were not income producing. Then when I got to Walmart and The ATM didn’t work and the lady at customer service was a bit snippity and a customer started giving me a tough time I allowed the ugliness of anger to creep in and was shoved which led me to calling the police. After sitting and waiting for the police and realizing where I was wrong and how I was off and my spiritual side was overtaken by my human side I sat and thought is it really worth it to getting angry. After the police came and I settled myself down I apologized to the Walmart lady and the gentleman I got angry with and left Walmart. I sat in my car in quiet reflection and realized that all the anger in the world wasn’t going to manifest the $200 I would have made and that GOD will provide as he always does and not to be so filled with anger. I hope you don’t have to get the wake up call like I did today but that you can step back and realize everything happens for a reason. I began to realize that this pent up anger has led to many set backs and is one of the areas that I must continue to work on. So from today forward when I feel angry I will do my best to take a deep breathe and realize that nothing god can come from being angry and that it only creates blockages for me and thus stops me from enhancing my personal and professionally and stunts my spiritual growth.
From no on I must realize that being a spiritual person in a material world can create frustration only if I allow myself to get caught up in rigors of the material world. I must understand that there is always a solution and that GOD is powerful beyond materials and that he will provide a better way. In learning that all obstacles that are placed in front of me can be overcome with some inner spiritual work. I must remember the teachings to be grateful for what I have have and not look at what I do not have. I must learn that I can not compare myself to others for we are all divine children of GOD who are unique in our own right. I must continue to understand that each time I get angry it only tales away from all the good I have done for others. When I get angry I must call upon my spiritual police, GOD, Jesus, My Angels, and The Ascended Masters so that I remember that I must use my talent for good and remember the fruits of spirit and the other spiritual teachings so that I am seen as whole and complete.
