Spiritual Awakening: Hey Barack, Mitt, and Lance Tell The Truth!!!!
As I warched the news today and saw the story of Lance Armstrong I thought wow all the good he may have done is now tarnished because of him not telling the truth from the get go. Then I watched the political ads where Mitt and Barack continue to put each other down instead of building themselves up. I then turned off the TV and prepared for the day by writing in my gratitude journal, reading Mary Morrissey’s Miracle Minute, reading Rev. Dr. Dee Adio-Moses’ Onesness Consciousness, and reading a random verse from the bible. As I arrived at my clubhouse I received a message to write about the importance of being truthful in everything you do and especially as you explore your spirituality.
Think about it if Lance Armstrong would have said while I was battling cancer I found a drug that made me a better cyclist and I kept using it as I was out to be number 1 because it would mean more money and exposure instead of him denying everything. Now he has to come clean and his reputation takes a big hit and how many people will now think twice about supporting The Livestrong Foundations.
What if Mitt and Barack laid out their plans with the best case scenerio, the worst case scenerio, and the most likely case scenerio and began speaking their truth instead of making statements and then having to back track. I believe more people would repsect the process if more truth was being told.
When you tell the truth and you are your truth your life becomes easier as you do not have to manipulate the situation. I am reminded of a situation when I wrecked the tape deck in my mom’s car I told her exactly what happened, she was angry but we worked it out. It is owning up to your transgressions that truly allows you to evolve and become a greater person. Take action and step into your truth by being truthful with yourself if you are unhappy state you are unhappy and then find ways to step into your truth to be happy. When you live in truth your burdens are eased and you will find that life becomes more joyous.
Spiritual Awakening: Arnel Pineda And Other Inspirational Lessons
I chose to highlight Arnel Pineda today as he shows us all the power of spirituality and using our talents to improve our life and the lives of others. When you read Arnel’s full biography at wikipedia you learn of the hardships he faced and how he never lost faith and kept doing what he loved to do. Being passionate and taking action will often lead to success. I found hos story to be inspirational and it is my hope that when things are challenging on your spiritual path that you will take his story and others shared here to help you face these challenges and continue on your path.

Videos of The Zoo performing cover songs by Journey, Survivor, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Air Supply, The Eagles, Kenny Loggins, Stryper and other popular acts from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, began appearing on YouTube.com in February 2007. On June 28, 2007,[8]Neal Schon of Journey contacted Noel Gomez, a longtime fan and friend of Pineda who uploaded many of these videos, to ask for Pineda’s contact information. Schon sent an e-mail to Pineda inviting him to audition for Journey. Pineda initially dismissed the e-mail as a hoax, but after being persuaded by Gomez, he finally replied to Schon’s e-mail. Ten minutes later, Pineda received a phone call from Schon.[9] On August 12,[10] Pineda, along with his manager Bert de Leon, flew to Marin County, just north of San Francisco, for a two-day audition.[11][12] The star-struck Pineda was welcomed warmly but he described the audition as “nerve-wracking, tense”.[13] On December 5, 2007, Pineda was announced as the lead singer of Journey. Many times I am asked JDOGG How do you create synergy? My answer is always that you create synergy by being in alignment with your inner self that allows the authentic to come out. The idea of synergy truly can transcend your personal and professional life as you begin to find projects and relationships that fit your core beliefs and resonate with you helping to make the mind, body, soul connection. Synergistic relationships are developed over time as you begin to be of service and value to others. You begin to attract people into your life who can assist you and in return will be assisted. An example of this occurred on 10/16/12 as I was announcing The Lauderhill Broncos Youth Football Game as I went from the press box to the concessions area and was greeted by an official who wanted my business card for a possible emcee engagement. The universe will conspire to deliver synery to you the moment you take action.

This post was inspired by an encounter I had on Friday 10/12/12 as I was collecting donations for The American Cancer Society Relay for Life of West Boca Raton, when I shared the reason why I was doing Relay and was told by the owner of the business I have many extra dollars but not for that. I stated you know it is upsetting that you couldn’t spare a dollar to help me honor my mother’s memory through my participation in Relay for Life. At that point a young man came to the counter very agitated yelling that that man gives more to charity than anyone else and you are offending me. I stated sorry wished him Namaste and left all the while thinking if you have to brag about your giving you are giving for the wrong reason then I remembered Jackie DeShanon’s song What The World Needs Now and started to sing that song and decided my next blog entry would be about healing the world with love.
So let’s begin and get ourselves in a frame of mind to show love and be an expression of love in all that we do. Finding the place where there is room to grow is a very importantt aspect of our path to heal the world with love. The growth starts within when your realize that you are a divine creation of GOD and you begin to recognize that and see that in others. Love is something we are all capable of giving all it takes is a desire to smile and be loving in all situations. At times this may be challenging as those you interact with may not understand the philosophy of being loving and caring in all you do or they may not be as passionate as you are in your various missions. I have often stated that when we realize the difference as to the way things should be and the way things are we can work toward the ways they should be.
Spiritual Awakening: Are Your Actions Speaking Louder Than Words?
This blog entry was inspired by the BEEGEES Song Words. I listened to the lyrics and realized that many times it is not our words that do the speaking but our actions. This led me to ask the question are your actions speaking louder than your words? When you become an action taker and act upon your words that is when you begin to experience and create the life that you want. How many times in the last month have you said I am going to do something and you put it off amd began to make excuses for not taking action? When you say you are going to do something it is important to take action steps to make it happen and to stay committed. There will be up and downs, however when the project is complete you will experience a joy knowing that your actions spoke louder than your words.
Goethe a German Poet is often creddited with the following quote. It is when you take action that good things begin to unfold. It is when you come alive and awake that you heed your calling and find that your actions speak louder than your words.

I have read Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven Life and use it as a reference to help me stay focused on the endeavors that I have undertaken. I have discovered through out the years that my purpose is to help others be it with improving their business or enhancing their personal life. I often ask myslef Am I Living My Purpose? Am I do all I can do to help others get what they want so I will get what I want? I have been living my purpose over the last few years as evidenced by my work with The American Cancer Society Relay For Life, as I believe in the concept of creating a world with less cancer and more birthdays. On February 23-24, 2013 I will be part of The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of West Boca Raton at Loggers Run Middle School. This is waht led me to write this entry today as I ask are you living your purpose?
The question is how do I find my purpose and how do I live my life on purpose? First you must look inside and find what makes you come alive and then find a way to integrate that into your life. Secondly you must block out those who say you can not do it and find the confidence to follow your purpose. And thirdly it is imperative that you continue to nourish your mind, body, and soul by learning and feeding your purpose. Everyday that youa re awake is another day to live your purpose. There will be messages that lead you to your purpose. It is importantant that you take action on that message and follow your passion so you can live on purpose.
Spiritual Awakening: Making The Change-Honoring Gandhi
I found this video by MC Yogi honoring Mahatma Gandhi who would have been 147 years old yesterday (10/2/12). I think of the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and his fortitude to stand on his principles and have an entire nation follow. In honoring Gandhi and make a decision to be principled in spirit you are moving further on your spiritual path so that you can also change the world. You have a power inside of you to make changes in yourself that will change others and thus one by one the world is changed.
Gandhi’s message of finding your power inside gives us insight into the way our spirit works. When we take action to find the power inside of us we begin to find all of our inner talents and when we develop the talents and use them for the power of good good things begin to happen. We begin to have an awakening and thus by being conscious and awake we are able to move in a positive direction to change ourselves and to change others.
Spiritual Awakening: Slow Down And Enjoy The Moment
Today’s blog entry was inspired by this Simon and Garfunkel song Feeling Groovy as I began to realize how important it is to slow down and enjoy the moment. It is very importnat to be an action taker and to move forward in a positive direction with all that you, however you also must realize that there comes a time to slow down and relish the moment. Imagine finding out that you were selected to be part of a book, you write your chapter and then you wonder what is next instead of taking it in and writing in your gratitude journal that today I am grateful for the opportunity to share with others to help them excel. Many times we get so caught up in the what is next that we forget what we have done.
It is when we are relaxed and that we take time to reflect the moments that we achieved greatness that we truly can move forward. What moments of greatness have you not had a time to celebrate as you kept wondering what is next. The idea is take time to celebrate and cherish the moment before you move on the the next thing.
Spiritual Awakening: Yom Kippur The Value of Atonement
I found the following definition of Yom Kippur. I have mixed emotions about the idea paying for a ticket for the right that I already have to sitti in temple all day so what I do is I begin my fast fron sundown to sundown and commune with GOD by reading my bible outside if it is nice and realizing that I have made some tresspasses and then I look for the lessons in those tresspasses. If the weather is not nice I find a quiet place in my condo and sit and commune with GOD seeking foregiveness for my tresspasses. This year I will be attending The Yizkor Service, the mourning of the passing of your loved ones and I will be lighting a Yarzheit Candle in memory of my mother, Judith Miller. As I Prepare for the holiday I begin to understand the value of atonement or what I like to describe it as a tune-up.
This video is the inspiration behind this blog entry today. As I bit into a chocolate covered apple from Edible Arrangements I took a moment to really enjoy. I looked out the window and the sun was bright with some rain coming down the lake and the palm trees brought a smile to my face. I began to think how many times do we go through a day without dipping the apple, not in a literal sense but it a figurative sense. Taking a moment to dip the apple and being appreciative for the joys and sweetness that come into our lives daily helps to make the mind, body, soul connection. Each day we can stimulate our mind by reading, we can enhance our body through exercise, we can add joy tot he soul by assuming an attitude of gratitude. We can truly dip our apple and enjoy the sweetness of our spiritual journey.
I found this video to be very entertaining and it brought a smile to my face and made me realize that it was time to reflect and follow messages that were being sent from GOD. As we enter anew year on The Jewish Calendar remember that you can make a positive difference in your life and the lives of those around you by continuing your spiritual development. You have a chance to be an action taker and to set in motion positive events when you take time to dip your apple. When you have your awakening you will realize that there is a greater power than you that will lead you in the direction you were meant to go.
What actions are you taking to be inscribed into the book of life. One great way to dip your apple is to help others in their charitable causes. If things have not been going the way you want you can make a change by dipping your apple and finding the joys to celebrate. You have the opportunity to come alive and help others to come alive by being a beacon of hope to them. Community service is one way to give back and to lead the life that GOD has designed for you and to insure that you are inscribed into the book of life.
As we usher in The Jewish New Year let us be reminded that we have a power inside of us to help others and to make a positive impact in our lives and the lives we come on contact with.
It is when we dipour apple and take time for a quiet and peacful moment that we often find the greatest joy. It is when we go deep inside ourselves that we truly discover how great we are. In many cases it is when we put on reflective music and just allow ourselves to be that we realize how good life is. The sun shine bright, the water ripples in the lake, the palm trees sway in the wind and the messages begin to come in to appreciate what we have and to show gratitude for what has been provided. Though there will be trials and tribulations that will build our character it is important to dip your apple.
