Spiritual Awakening: Don’t Conform Transform!

  I declared 2016 as a year of transformation and  came up with the tag line Don’t Conform Transform. I am not saying go out and break rules and put others in danger rather to find ways to do things differently and to transform your personal,professional, and spiritual life while being of service and value to others. When you commit to transforming and not conforming you will have your detractors as you are doing things that they wouldn’t do. When you do something that a very small percentage of the population would do and the majority is being constrained by the so called social norms you are going to have those who will not get what you are doing and try to get you to stop. This happens when you take action that makes you stand out and gets results. Do not let those trying to stop you convince you to stop doing things your way.

 I have adopted the song I Did It My Way by Frank Sinatra as an anthem through out my spiritual awakening as I have done things my way. True there were times when doing it my way rubbed people the wrong way because they didn’t understand that at the end of the day there are two entities to please ourselves and GOD.  When we do things our way we are going to encounter detractors, naysayers, and haters who just do not understand your methodology and who will be the first to condemn instead of encourage. Unfortunately many of these people are in positions of perceived power and allow that power to go to their heads and when someone comes along that does something different they freak out and try to hold you back not understanding that there are several ways to get the desired results and no one way is superior to the other. The key is do it your way and begin to transform instead of conforming. It is when you break the shackles of doubt, fear, and expected outcomes that you begin to see improvement in your life.

When we break free and let go and let GOD we begin to move forward in the positive direction of our dreams. When we remember that if GOD brought us to it GOD will bring us through it. When we do things as directed by GOD we are rewarded. Many times doing things based on the principle that I am a divine Child of GOD and GOD doesn’t make any junk brings on some detractors as they haven’t learned the principle to love themselves. Many have not come to understand that in order to create a oneness consciousness we must realize we are more alike than different.  I have always done things a bit differently and had a different perspective on life. As a result I have been able to do things on my own terms and  find success. Success to me is making a positive impact on the lives of people I come in contact with through out the day. I have learned that the way I carry myself and the way I do things will not always resonate with everyone but those that I resonate with will have their lives enhanced in some way.

We often stop ourselves from transforming because we worry about what other people will think and we forget that we are earth for a purpose. On many occasions I have been questioned on how I do things and I have said that I do not have to justify my actions to you for in the end we will all be judged by GOD. You can imagine how my attitude of stepping into my power can create some challenges because many people are set int he way they would do things and are so driven by ego that they have edged GOD out they they fail to see that there are more ways to do things and sometimes doing things different and non conforming  leads to more success because you have transformed instead of conformed.

Even the scriptures instruct us to not conform and to follow GOD. If you begin to live a life of purpose and directed by GOD you will begin to find more peace, love, joy, and prosperity.

 

It will those of us who question the so called norms of society and do things differently that will change our world. We will have our share of detractors and we must remember that it is not our job to drag them kicking and screaming onto the path  it is our job to shine our light and illuminate our world. Spiritual Awakening: The Great Buffet Of Life!!!

When the word buffet is mentioned most people think of food and all you can eat. What if I told you there is an endless buffet available to each of us to partake in that will nourish our mind, our body, and our soul. It is the great buffet of life which includes healthy food to fuel our body, knowledge to strengthen our mind, and a divine guidance system to build our soul.  When we begin to partake in the great buffet of life we understand that we are divine children of GOD and in order to praise and connect with GOD we must eat what builds our body up and doesn’t break the body down. It is when we take the action to commit to eating better that we will see major improvements physically and mentally. I know that when I am making better food choices I find myself feeling better and thus I am able to be of more service and value to others. So to start enjoying the great buffet of life I suggest you become aware of what you are putting into body and how it is making you feel.

Spiritual Awakening: Finding The Way!!!

 Sometimes while we are traveling on our spiritual journey we may lose our way and forget our purpose and thus we become disconnected with GOD and we get knocked down. Life is going to hit us hard at times and it is in these times that we must dust ourselves off and get back up again by realizing that if GOD brought us to it GOD will bring us through it. It is when we fall that we must take action to get back up and use the challenge as a learning opportunity. In getting knocked down we should land on our back because if we can look up we can get up. In getting up and becoming reconnected we will see things differently and do things differently to provide for a better outcome.
When we feel like we have been defeated that is when we must reach down deep inside and connect with our inner divinity and stand in our power knowing that GOD wants us to be great and prosperous. In the face of adversity we have a chance to change and to come alive and become stronger physically, mentally, and spiritually. We have the power to change and the opportunities to reach heights in our personal, professional, and spiritual lives that at one time we could only imagine. When we leave our expectations at the door and detach from outs we begin to face everything and rise. By standing up and stepping into our power we begin to move forward in the positive direction of our dreams. It is when we eliminate the false evidence appearing real that we are able to rise to a level of accomplishment that only a few will ever achieve. Over the years I have learned that it is not how many times you get knocked down but how many times you get back up.

Spiritual Awakening: I Got Your Limits Right Here!!!

 As many of my regular readers know I have a bit of a New York Edge about me as I spent 4 1/2 years at Hofstra University in Long Island NY, and I developed an attitude of I can do anything and you will not get in my way. I would often answers people I got your limits right here you gotta a problem with that. One of the things that I learned was that those who said it can’y be done were coming from a position of fear instead of abundance. I have often done things differently than others and many don’t understand. I was recently called on the carpet by The American Cancer Society for actions that I took to raise money for The Sunrise Relay For Life. I have done well so far with my methods and raised $768 toward a goal of $1000. My Donation Page is http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg4. I was told that a few patrons at Legends complained about me going table to table to collect donations. I had obtained permission from The GM and in a matter of a 1/2 hour collected $34 and was able to share Relay For Life literature with many people. I had one lady give me a hug and thank me for giving her the 1-800-acs-2345 number. Of course the executive director didn’t bring this up and focused on the patron that complained. I simply took a deep breath and realized that she didn’t understand that when you go table to table with the permission of a GM you will have some people who complain heck there are some people who will complain about anything. She said you should have arranged to set up a table and allowed people to come to you. As I have been doing fundraising for over 35 years I have found that having a table is not the most effective way to fundraise. I have found the most effective way is to go person to person with literature and make the ask. Some will complain and some will give that is simply the nature of what goes with fundraising.  It was at this point that I thought I GOT YOUR LIMITS RIGHT HERE!!! I didn’t verbalize this as I realized that taking the conversation any further would be like wrestling a pig in the mud you both would get dirty but the pig would enjoy it. I have learned that when working with organizations there will be people who come from a position of lack and those who come from a position of abundance. I have also come to understand that many people have limiting beliefs and tell you why you can’t do something and focus on why it can not be done instead of finding a way to do it. I have come to learn that if someone is going to get upset because I asked them for a donation it is about them and has nothing to with me. When you take action and declare I got your limits right here you will encounter those who will doubt you, try to block you, and limit you. When you encounter these people all you can do is listen, take a deep breath, and then pray that one day they will go from limiting beliefs to limitless beliefs. I have learned that when you have limitless beliefs nothing can stop you.

When you find others who are willing to tell the world I got your limits right here embrace them and become a lifter so as to build dreams together. The key is to find the people who share in your vision and understand that we are all limitless and that we have talents that when used for the betterment of the world the world is improved as well as our personal, professional, and spiritual lives. When you believe that nothing is going to stop you you will become limitless. When we are determined to move forward in a positive direction of our dreams nothing is going to stop you and nothing will break your stride.

Spiritual Awakening: Ease On Down The Road!!!

Today’s entry is inspired by the idea that sometimes you have to simply unburden yourself of worry and simply ease on down the road to truly experience a spiritual awakening. In the last few weeks I have been fundraising for The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Sunrise, FL I was doing what the messages from GOD were telling me to do and acting with love in my heart. Doing this created some challenges as some people will find something to complain about and not understand that complaining only brings negativity into their life.  GOD likes a cheerful giver and rewards those who work to be of service and value to others.  I have learned over time that it is necessary to simply take a deep breath, process the information, and ease on down the road. I have come to understand that not everyone is going to resonate and positively react to your message. Since my spiritual awakening I have come in contact with many people that simply do not understand the greater good and are quick to point fingers and blame others. They are so into complaining that they loose the opportunities to enhance their personal, professional, and spiritual life.  It is important to understand that while you journey along your spiritual path and continue to evolve into a better person that there will be those who try to stop you. When you encounter these people it is vital that you ease on down the road.

 

As you ease on down the road  you will find that the road is long and winding and there will be some speed bumps along the way and some curves to straighten out that are messages from GOD.  These messages will come in all forms as you ease on down the road so be alert and prepared to act on the messages. Remember when you hit a speed bump to slow down and take a breath and see what the next step is that GOD has planned for you. In the trials and tribulations that we face are lessons and from these lessons we grow personally, professionally, and spiritually. When we slow down and realize that if GOD brought us to it GOD will bring us through it. When we ease on down the road and we let go and let GOD we find that we attract more peace, love, joy, and prosperity into our lives. When we are of service and value and come straight from the heart we are going to encounter  those that will not understand us. It is in these situations that we must understand that when it is all said and doe and we stand for judgement the only thing that will matter is that you honored and praised GOD through your actions to leave the world a little better than you found it. It is when you can face things with out anger and understand the perspective from where others are coming from that you can better solve the challenge and ease on down the road. In life there will be times when you must release the people, places, and things that no longer serve you and simply ease on down the road.

Spiritual Awakening:Becoming A Hero!!!

 

In the trials and tribulations of our society today many are holding out for a hero when the true hero lies within all of us.  I was sitting in meditation the other day and I asked how can I get in touch with my inner hero? The answer came as part of another spiritual awakening stating to continue to just do what you to be of service and value to others and detach from the outcomes. As I came out of the meditation I began to write in my gratitude journal and I began to realize that for most of my life I was focusing on the out comes and was focusing on the wrong things instead of being grateful for the opportunity to be of service and value. As I continue to awaken spiritually I realize just how things can change when we simply stop focusing on results and start looking at the impact we can make because we all have the opportunity to be a hero.

Though Shane Falco was a fictional character in the movie, The Replacements, he taught us a lesson that we can all be heroes if just for one day. Each day that we awaken we should thank GOD for another opportunity to make a difference in our life and the lives of others. Through all that we do we should set the intention to leave people we come in contact with enriched in some way as that is what a hero does. A Hero does not seek recognition a hero simply does what is right without expectation of recognition.  A hero simple acts with grace and humility and does what is considered righteous by others. A hero doesn’t work for the applause or the accolades a hero is directed by GOD and understand the concept that you live to serve and by serving you live. I have learned through all my years of showing people that service to humanity is the best work of life that what I do for myself will die with me but what I do for others will live long after I am gone. I have learned that it is not about the big house, the fancy car, or the designer clothes but it is about how I was of service and value to others that truly matters. You have read it at this blog before about my feelings of when I am in a position to buy the Mercedes Benz that I am taking that money purchasing a modest car and then taking some of the money for my investments and then with the rest I am going to select charities to help. If each day we can be a hero to just one person we can touch lives and make a positive shift in our society that leads to hope and healing.

many are waiting on a hero so now is the time to look deep inside and find a way to step into your power to be a hero to someone everyday. Some times it is the smallest acts of kindness dome with great love that makes you a hero in the eyes of others. I posted a request for donations for The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Boca Raton encouraging people to visit http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg4 and one of the donors wrote a comment that you are one of the heroes. My heart filled with much warmth as I realized that my involvement in Relay is  making a difference in people’s lives. I have come to realize that it is not about the plaques as the metal tarnishes and the wood rots but the memories they last forever.  As you go about your daily activities find a way to unleash your inner hero.

In a quest to become a hero  we must look back and realize that in the end when we face judgement day all that will matter is that we played the role of a hero to someone. When we evaluate our lives and we can positively answer did you live a life of joy and did you bring joy to others we can say we were heroes. When the final light is lit in your honor will your candle show that you were a hero?

Spiritual Awakening: Making Magical Love!!!

 Through out your spiritual journey it is important to remember that you can do magic because of the love you have inside of you to give to the world. Through some trials and tribulations this week one common theme and message kept appearing in front of me and that is love. It was when I went deep inside and taped into my inner divinity that I was able to awaken and take action by being driven by a force known as love. When I made the conscious decision to do everything from a position of love I found that things became clearer and easier to understand. It is when we decide to make a magical love that we begin to manifest the life that we desire. It is when we love and appreciate what we have instead of wanting what we don’t have that we are able to tap into our own love channel and provide programming that spreads the idea of love to the world. It is when we begin to love ourselves that we radiate a vibration that attracts love.  I have discovered over time that love is the answer and that when you exude love in all you do everything works out.

The greatest growth happens when you are loving and caring in all that you do as you are then able to shine your light and illuminate the world. When you wake up and show gratitude and love for where you are in your life you will see that you are just where GOD intended you to be. In showing Love to GOD you will see rewards that you never imagined. As I sat in meditation I asked GOD to help me be more loving and caring and to help me wipe out my anger and any negativity that I was bringing to situations and when I cam out of the meditation I found myself more centered and grounded and focused on love.  In deciding to make magical love I have been able to achieve many great things and see the progress that I making in my personal, professional, and spiritual life.  Love has become the word I see first in all those Facebook word searches. As a result of seeking to express love I have been able to book more guests for my TV Show, The Anything Bucket, which airs on www.wrpbitv.com. I have been able to raise more money for The American Cancer Society Relay For Life Of Sunrise, FL and The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Boca Raton as a result of detaching from results and just being grateful for any donations at The Sunrise Relay Donation Page, http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg3, and donations at The Boca Raton Donation Page, http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg4. In showing gratitude and love I have come to understand more and more the idea that if GOD brought me to it GOD will bring me through it. I have come to realize that at the end of the day it is not about the fancy car, the big house, or the expensive designer clothes it is about the love you gave and the legacy of hope and healing that you leave for others.  It is when we do small things with great love that we make the world a better place.

Spiritual Awakening: A River of Hope!!!

Sometime when you are on your spiritual path you will find challenges that come in many forms. When these challenges arise it is important to find a body of water to just sit quietly by and pray. I have such a place and I call it The River Of Hope. There is something very magical and spiritual about just watching the water and remembering that when we cleanse our mind, body, and soul of negativity and replace it with positivism that we begin to transform. It is through our transformation that we create a oneness consciousness and thus grow personally, professionally and personally. I have learned through my spiritual journey that there will be things that I do not understand but if GOD brought me to it GOD will bring me through it. I have also come to understand that the spiritual path may have some bumps along the way but when I am cleansed and doing things to honor and praise GOD these bumps are smoothed out. We are all going to have some set backs where we question our spirituality. It is at these times that we go to the river to get rejuvenated and to re-energize the divine life force that allows us to share peace, love, joy, and prosperity. It is when we cleanse and remove that which no longer serves us that we become more evolved and thus we can be of more service and value to others. In finding ways to be of value and service we attract all the resources necessary to create and manifest the life we desire.

When we are bathed in the spirit of GOD we come to understand that if GOD is for us who can be against us. The enemy will through many obstacles in your way to try to shake you however when you are strong in your faith and divinely connected no one can stop you.  I am reminded of a day last year when I was out collecting donations for The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Boca Raton when I put the collection canister in one hand and my Bible in the other. I walked into a restaurant to ask for a donation the man behind the counter asked me what book I was reading I said The Bible he said you have a weapon there I must donate he then told everyone in the restaurant to make a donation. That day was one of my most successful days collecting and taught me that when you are connected to GOD good things happen.  Later that day I stopped for dinner and found a small park with a picnic are over looking a body of water so I stopped and as I ate I prayed and praised GOD thanking him for all the good he is doing in my life. At the end of last year my fundraising total for The 2015 American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Boca Raton was $2557. Now everyday I pray that GOD will direct me and allow me to use my talents for good. As a result even the biggest challenges seem small.

When I am facing challenges and need some reassurance I turn to the scriptures and I am reminded that I am a divine child of GOD as you are as well and that GOD wants to increase the love in my life so that I can give more love and share that love for the betterment of others. I have often stated that service to humanity is the best work of life and this is so true as the more you give the more you receive.

 When we pray at the river and seek ways to be more loving and compassionate we begin to grow in all that we do and as a result our personal, professional, and spiritual life is enhanced. As you travel to your river of hope know that if you seek you will be answered and if you ask it shall be given. In today’s hustle and bustle society take a moment to go to the river and pray.

If you can not get to a river remember that you are 90% water and that you are the river of hope and you can provide a reservoir for those seeking to grow in mind, body, and spirit. Allow your river to flow and you will create much hope and healing as you take action in becoming more aware and awake. It is when we allow the water to flow freely that we make the world a better place. May your river flow freely. Namaste!!!

Spiritual Awakening: Do You!!!

 I have stated many times that at the end of the day all that matters is that you were true to yourself and honored GOD through your actions. This week I was tested a little when I did something that many would find unconventional as I reached out to a sponsor of The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Sunrise, FL to be a guest on my TV Show, The Anything Bucket, which airs on www.wrpbitv.com on Tuesday at 6:30 PM. I thought as a business owner he would have like the fact that I reached out to him, BOY was I wrong he didn’t call me instead he called the Fundraising Lead for this Relay and complained. The Fundraising Lead then wrote to me and said I couldn’t solicit sponsors to be on my show. In me doing me I wrote back to her explaining that I had every right to invite people to be on my TV Show and that if the gentleman had an issue he should have called me. I was upset so I decided to take a few minutes and breathe and then meditate. The message I received in mediation was to do you. I have also come to realize that all you can do is do you and let others do themselves.

As I came out of mediation I remembered this teaching and realized that by me doing me I will encounter many that simply do not understand. I have always done things unconventionally and have had much success and thus as I evolve more and more in my personal, professional, and spiritual life I understand that not everyone is going to resonate with me and be a lifter.  I have come to understand that when dealing with people on project you must understand where they are coming from and allow them to do themselves while you do you. I have come to realize that it is when you follow your heart and honor GOD and do you that everything work out in the end.

Spiritual Awakening: A Peaceful Easy Feeling!!!

As you continue on your spiritual journey and awaken more and more you will find that when you are centered and grounded that you will have a peaceful easy feeling come over you. I have found that to achieve that peaceful easy feeling you must be willing to take action and do some work on yourself. I have earned that you must spend time with those who lift you and encourage you and to go places where you are celebrated not tolerated.  It is when you take action that you can awaken spiritually and better understand the concept of creating a oneness consciousness by making a mind, body, soul connection. As you go where you are celebrated it is important to celebrate others.  When you are being celebrated make it a point to celebrate others. I have always taught to remember to be kind to the people you meet on the way up as they are the same people you will meet on the way down. It is important to act out of peace, love, and kindness.

It is when we come together for the common good that we create magic and this magi shows up in the form of peace. If we are truly to accomplish Peace on Earth we must first become peaceful. In detaching from outcomes and expectations and doing all things with great love we create a peaceful easy feeling and the world around us is improved. When I was a child there was a song Peace, Love, and Happiness which I first heard while watching The Skipper Chuck Show and it has become a part of my life. each day when I awake I ask GOD to help me in my endeavors to help empower and inspire others and to allow me to be peaceful and loving in all I do. Through out the day there are challenges as some people who you meet for the first time are quick to judge and sometimes say things that are hurtful. Such was the case today when a so called professional told me my work was meaningless. I took a deep breath told him I was sorry that he felt that way. I realized that by leaving and taking and taking the high road I could maintain my peace and go about my mission of creating a world with less cancer and more birthdays. I took a deep breath when I left and paused to recapture a peaceful easy feeling. As I moved forward with my task I encountered more friendly people who were happy to help. In focusing on the positive encounters and slowly letting go of the one bad encounter I was able to find more peaceful easy feelings.

 As poignant today as when it was first released this is a song I turn to so as to remind me that it is important to create a positive loving world for all. It is through our peaceful actions guide by our inner divinity that we are able to create peaceful easy feelings.  One fact of life remains and that is that we were not just put here to amass material things we were put here to be of service and value to each other. Take a look deep inside to connect with you inner divine guidance system and then follow your heart and you will create more peaceful easy feelings.
