Spiritual Awakening:The Spiritual Highway!!!

 

When you decide to take action after your spiritual awakening you will see that you will embark on a journey that will have you driving on  a spiritual highway. Along the high way there will be many exits to get off and many on ramps to get you back on the highway. Each and every exit and on ramp will bring you opportunities to gain knowledge and understanding of your spiritual purpose while here on Earth having a human experience. When you decide to take an exit make sure you stop and truly receive the message that took you off the main highway. As you get off the main highway and you begin to explore the area where you exited keep in mind what question you were seeking an answer to and the answer will be revealed. Your exit from the highway may be short or long depending on how long it takes you to gain understanding and to take action on the answer that you received. Each time we get onto the spiritual highway we are better prepared to navigate the road that lies ahead. ON our trip on the spiritual highway there will be obstacles that slow us down or even prevent us from moving forward in our quest toward making a mind, body, soul connection. When these obstacles enter into our human life we must understand that they are signs from GOD being delivered to us so that we can create the life we desire with GOD’S guidance.

When we get off the highway we will begin to explore and have  decisions to make and many times we must take the road less traveled by as going against the norm makes a world of difference. In taking the road less traveled by we  find ourselves back on the spiritual highway more enlightened and better prepared to answer our calling. Along the spiritual highway we will have opportunities to come alive by being of service and value to the communities that lie along the highway simply by detaching from our desired outcome and simply flowing with the messages that are being delivered form GOD. I remember a time I was in The Philippines serving as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer and the road took me a path that would take me to The Botanical Gardens in San Fernando. Along my path I would encounter many people who found it odd that I would be walking the 5 KM (3.1 miles) to the botanical gardens. Each person I came in contact with gave me a valuable lesson as I walked what became a very spiritual walk filled with much peace and further understanding as to why I became a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer. When I arrive at the top of what I could only describe as a mountain I was parched and my legs were weary. I came across what I would call a concessions stand and I was able to purchase water and continue on my exploration of the botanical gardens. I would take many photos unfortunately as I went to The ATM machine later in the day I forgot my camera and when I went back it was gone so I only have the memories of the vivid sites and the tranquil moments of the botanical gardens and the lessons that came to me that day through the messages from GOD, The Ascended Masters, and my angels. As I sat in reflection that night I realized that along the spiritual highway we will find lessons that help us to evolve personally, professionally, and spiritually.

It was at that moment that I knew my calling was far bigger than I had originally thought and that my mission is to shine GOD’S Light that is inside of me to help plant the seeds of hope and healing. As I completed my sixth month of Peace Corps Service and came home I realized what I received was far greater than anything I could ever give. I realized that this exit off the spiritual highway carried many lessons where I strengthened my belief that the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations and that service to humanity is the best work of life. As I arrived home I began to think how can I apply what I learned in The Philippines to make my community a better place.  It is now 13 years that I have been back in The United States and I have been on and off the spiritual highway and each exit has brought me lessons of attracting peace, love, joy, and prosperity into my life. Each stop along the way has provided insight into why I am here and what my purpose is while here on Earth. I have learned that it is my mission to help others by being my authentic self and striving to be my best self as directed by GOD.

Spiritual Awakening: Grooving On A Sunday Afternoon!!!

As I sat down at Starbucks to write this entry I took a quick look around and it was amazing to see all the people simply grooving on a Sunday Afternoon. There was a group playing Rummy O, a guy working on editing his photography, people reading, and others simply enjoying life.  As I absorbed all this great positive energy I began to think how important it is to be spiritually awake and in tube with your inner divinity so as to attract much peace, joy, love, and prosperity into your life. I began to realize that if you want to manifest happiness and abundance into your life you must exude happiness and come from a place of abundance. So many times we get caught up in the things we can not control that we forget to take charge of what we can control and thus we create blockages that get in the way of grooving not only on a Sunday afternoon but everyday. Now the question is how are we going to awaken spiritually and take control of our lives and let GOD be our guide. The answer is to first embrace the fact that you are a divine child of GOD destined for greatness. After that it is important to make a commitment to yourself to take care of yourself so that you can be of service and value to others. Then after you begin to be of service and value start to release that which no longer serves you. As you continue to follow your path guided by GOD  you will see that when you are connected to GOD you will see great things unfold so make it a priority to praise and honor GOD daily so that you can grove everyday and reach your higher calling.

Spiritual Awakening: Tools To Help You Groove Everyday!!!

I have found that The Serenity Prayer, Positive Affirmations, and The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz  to be excellent tools in assuming an attitude that will allow me to be open to grooving daily.

I have learned that music can be a great way to get into the groove and to vibrate on a higher level that attracts people  to you so that you can manifest the life that you desire.

 

Over the years I have discovered that books such as these and others available by following the Hay House Link on this page are excellent tools to help you get into the groove.

Kindness is a trait that when put into action serves as great tool to groove daily.

 Giving praise and glory to GOD is a fantastic tool to help keep you centered, focused, and grounded so that you can groove everyday and live life to the fullest.

 

 Essential oils and incense are excellent tools to use while clearing your mind so as to groove daily.

Meditation has served as an exceptional tool in releasing that which may be stopping you from grooving daily.

Take a moment to walk in nature and create a sacred space where you can go to communicate with GOD, The Ascended Masters, and The Angels so as to receive the guidance that will allow you to grow personally, professionally, and spiritually as you continue to make the mind, body, and soul connection.

Find spiritual places like The Rice Terraces in the Philippines and take a trip without all the accouterments that we have grown accustom to and simply take in the messages as you get connected to source. Sometimes the greatest tool we have is our ability to detach and disconnect from the human life that we have come to know and get in touch with our divinity.

 

When I find it difficult to get into a groove or I find myself stuck I use the tool of reflection to remind me just how good my life has been and I remember times that brought great joy and a sense of accomplishment into my life like the 6 months from July 2002 – February 2003 when I was a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Buang La Union, Philippines. I look at the photo of the church and the arch and I realize how many lives I touched and how the people in this community changed my life and it gets me into a positive frame of mind knowing that I am capable of great things and if I can not do great things to do small things with great love. It is said that photographs and memories are great tools to help you get into the groove.

Spiritual Awakening: Get Your Swag On!!!

 One of the terms I have  come to learn in the promotional and marketing realm is SWAG, which refers to the free items you get at events from different vendors. SWAG is also short for Swagger used to describe the way someone carries themselves. As I put on my Chuck Taylor Purple Beat Cancer Sneakers I began to see how getting your swag on can determine how people perceive you. Many have admired my sneakers and they have opened up a line of communication that has allowed me to interact with people and share my story. As a result I have attracted many people who want to help me on my mission to plant the seeds of hope and healing for cancer patients, their families, and their friends. As I walked into many businesses I saw people looking at my sneakers and I smiled and many made positive comments and I realized as I shine my light and get my swag on I have the chance to illuminate the world one person at a time. I have come to understand that when you get your swag you must be prepared to instill a philosophy of some will, some won’t, so what, some waiting, next as it is not your job to drag people kicking and screaming to your way of thinking but to simply shine your light bright for others to see thus giving them permission to shine their light. It is when you get your swag on that you can have a great influence on people and thus show the world that service to humanity is the best work of life.

When you decide to take action and get your swag on it is important that when you carry yourself with confidence and begin to assert yourself it is important to understand that not everyone will resonate with the way you do things or your message. Also remember the most successful people in the world were those that were seen as different or a bit out there as their thoughts were not mainstream however those who thought differently and implemented their ideas were the people that changed the world.

Spiritual Awakening: Don’t Fool Yourself!!!

Many times along our spiritual journey we come to a crossroad where we may be fooling ourselves because we have not released our limiting beliefs. The key is to understand that we must not be fooled by our limitless beliefs and we must stop our negative self talk and simply begin to understand that we are divine children of GOD capable of great things. It is when we stop listening to the doubters and the haters and the negative thoughts in our head that we are able to move forward and begin to manifest the life that we desire. How many times have you said I can’t or I’ll try only to find that you kept yourself stuck because you didn’t take action on what you really wanted and you allowed yourself to stop and thus are left with questions like what might have been or what could have been? Let’s change the thoughts from I can’t or I’ll try to I can and I will and see what begins to happen. You might have to be relentless in your pursuit to bring something to fruition however you will find that by being tenacious and driven you will find success. The time is now to plan your work and work your plan and stop fooling yourself. So many times we get so caught up in why something can not work that we never get started to make it work. Some call this stinking thinking and they are right. I have  come to learn that you must ask the universe for what you want and then take the appropriate action to allow the universe to deliver it.

A great example of this is my work with Sinbad Sports. I have a goal to sell 350 autographs and I know that I can not just wish for the people to come I must go out into the community and share this event and do my best to let as many people know about the signing and the store. I have been posting on Facebook and sharing www.sinbadsports.com with people. I have also been sharing the post cards and attending events inviting people to come and have detached from the outcome knowing that I will be successful because I am taking action as directed by GOD and following his message. The great thing about this signing is that a portion of all the autograph sales will be used to help children get back to school clothes and supplies thus fitting into my purpose to show people that service to humanity is the best work of life. In taking action and doing my best I know that I will meet with success. It is important to remember that your attitude will determine your altitude. In not allowing myself to be discouraged by those saying people won’t pay $69 for an autograph and moving forward i am finding people who will pay $69 for an autograph and who will buy other items to get signed when they come to the store. By being in tune with my inner divinity and following my heart I am finding people who will come to the store and purchase autograph tickets and merchandise. In simply sharing information and detaching from the outcome I am finding success. It is when you stop fooling yourself and start believing in yourself you will find success.

Spiritual Awakening: Just Jump!!!

Many times we are hesitant in taking action as we allow all of our doubts and fears to creep into our human experience thus blocking us from our spiritual growth. How many times have you wanted to jump but you made an excuse not to and then as you sat in reflection wondered what might have been or what could have been. When you make taking action part of your spiritual development ritual and you simply jump and allow things to fall as they may you will find that you evolve personally, professionally, and spiritually. It is often said that when one door closes another opens. When that one door closes simply find another door to open and create your own opportunity to embrace your spiritual awakening and manifest the life that you desire. Sometime it is when you go your own way and jump that better things happen thus bringing more peace, love, joy, and prosperity into your life.
 Along our spiritual path we will encounter many people and they all serve some type of purpose for us. In many cases in our life we must simply go our own way until we find those who will lift us, support us, and most importantly respect us. I have recently come to understand that is it better to go where you are celebrated rather than stay somewhere where you are simply tolerated. I have also learned that not everyone will be as eager to jump on you path and that it is not your job to drag them kicking and screaming onto your path but to simply shine your light and to illuminate the world and when they are ready they will come onto your path. As you walk your path you will find doubters and haters that simply have not tapped into the greatness that lies within them and are a bit jealous because you are doing things that they always wanted to do but haven’t. It is believed that the richest place on earth is a cemetery because many valuable assets that were not used by people when they were alive because they bough into the negativity of people telling them they can’t do something. Never allow the thoughts of others to stop you from stepping into your power and assuming the greatness and prosperity that is your birthright.  In the past I would doubt my ability and not go to auditions for public announcer positions now I take the opportunity and make videos while i am at the audition and I allow things to flow as they may. In jumping I have met with much success as I have landed paying gigs with The Legends Football League, The Miami Fury, The South Florida Gold, The Sean Taylor Classic, and other teams and events. I have realized that when you decide to face everything and rise that you create more and more opportunities. When you decide to be a jumper and reach higher you will find that many good things come your way.

Spiritual Awakening: Set The World On Fire!!!

Many times all it takes is a small ember in your heart that burns so deep that it begins to consume you and as a result you take action to shine your light that it sets the world on fire. Looking back on all the times I have been told you can’t do that or you are not good enough by other people and all the times that I believed them I realized that I was creating blockages that were stopping me from moving forward in a positive direction of my dreams. It was when I taped into my inner divinity and decided that I would not allow anyone to ever dictate my level of achievement again that my life began to change. It was on that day that I began to understand that I had some GOD given talent and it was time to use this talent for good.  It was then that I adopted the philosophy of shining my light and illuminating the world. As I continue on my spiritual journey it is my hope that by shining my light I will inspire others to do the same and thus create positivism that not only enriches my life but the lives of others. As I began to listen to GOD, The Angels, and The Ascended Masters I realized that I could set the world on fire with positivism. I knew not everyone would understand where I was coming from as they were not as spiritually evolved as I was and that my positive attitude coupled with a creativity that many have  not seen before my be overwhelming as I do things much differently than what is considered normal in a Western Culture.  I have awakened to that fact that walking to the beat of a different drummer may be viewed as a bit out there and some that are used to the so called societal norms may not be open to receive your way of doing things. At the end of the day I have come to realize that as long as I do no harm and continue to shine my light and set the world on fire that my personal, professional, and spiritual life will be enriched.

When you have the light of lord inside of you and you allow that light to shine bright by using your talents for good you will see how you set the world on fire. When I began my journey of being of service and value to others at age 11 when I ran my first special event, a backyard carnival for The Muscular Dystrophy Association, I realized that if you are your authentic self and you ask for support you will find assistance from those who believe it their responsible to be a lifter. As the years went on I found myself more and more involved in charitable work and in 1989 when I joined The Junior Chamber of Commerce/Jaycees I began to find myself living by the words of their creed and thus becoming more and more spiritually awake thus improving my personal, professional, and spiritual life.

Spiritual Awakening: Break Down The Wall!!!

Break Down the Wall - Digital Echo VideoAs you go through the spiritual awakening process you will find it necessary to break down the walls that are holding you back and simply follow your heart understanding your mind will follow and GOD will sort everything out. It is when we break down the walls of fear and uncertainty that we are able to take action and start moving in the positive direction of our goals and dreams. Today is a great example of breaking down walls for as it is The $1 Million in One Day Challenge for The American Cancer Society Relay For Life. I stopped by Marathon Gas to pick up a canister I had left to find out it had been stolen. The cashier told me oh when I left here last night it was here and it had money in it someone must have taken it. In the past I would have been angry but today I took a deep breath taking solace that whatever money was in the canister would be made up for as people would heed my call to donate. I was correct as I shared the donation page http://main.acsevents.org/goto/jdogg4 on Facebook and 2 people donated bringing my total now to $1603.05 toward a goal of $2500. In breaking down the wall of anger and turning into compassion I was able to focus on the good that will come from the theft of the canister and  that is more people will see my post and support the effort to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. As I took action and made a commitment to live the day by the anthem of stay positive I was able to break down walls of anger and fear and instead seek peace, joy, love, and prosperity. As I was posting the messages asking for donations some people decided to challenge my motives questioning how much The CEO and Staff Members on The American Cancer Society get paid. Instead of being flippant and obnoxious I simply used my knowledge gained over the last 17 years and showed people where the money goes. I have come to understand that in being passionate about a cause that nit everyone will share your passion or even like what you are doing and instead of building up what they are doing they will look to tear you down. This used to really piss me off but know I take it stride and I break down the walls of resistance by remembering that facts tell and stories sell and that not everyone will resonate with my message, however GOD will bring those that share my vision and thus we will break down the wall of resistance and excel.  I have come to understand that if GOD brought me to it GOD will bring me through it and GOD will provide the support desired to break down the walls, overcome the challenges, and face everything and rise.

Spiritual Awakening: Larger Than Life!!!

As you awaken spiritually you will find many times when your actions are truly larger than life as you are touching lives that you do not even know about. When you take action to be of service and value to others you are beginning to see that you positive actions have a ripple effect that change the vibration that you are resonating at and thus you begin to attract the people and resources necessary to move forward in a positive direction of your dream making you larger than life. As you begin to truly embrace the concept that you are a divine child of GOD and that GOD’s plans for you are larger than life you will find yourself more centered, focused, and grounded thus achieving things that you thought were once impossible. When you look at the the word impossible split it up and it say I am possible. When you realize that you are capable of great things you become larger than life. In becoming larger than life by focusing on others and how you can lift them up you expand the realm of kindness and thus create positive changes that make the world a kinder place where people look to be of service and value to each other.

When you reflect back on your life what will be the moments that stand out and made you feel larger than life? Will you be pointing fingers and passing the blame or will you accept the responsibility of your actions and hold yourself accountable? As you evolve through the spiritual awakening process you will find yourself coming alive and becoming larger than life. As you begin to live in the moment you will  clear blockages so that you can become larger than life. Once you clear out the negativity you will find yourself moving forward in a positive direction of your dreams. As you begin to detach from things and remove the emotional baggage that has been holding you back you will see how you can transform not only your life but the lives of others. When we check our EGO at the door and stop Edging God Out and truly celebrate that we are larger than life we are able to have a positive impact in the lives of all those that we come in contact with through out the day. I have stated many times in this blog that it is not about the fancy cars, the expensive designer clothes, or the big house it is about being larger than life by being loving and caring in all that you do. It is when you find your purpose and commit to living a life of purpose that you truly find peace, love, joy, and prosperity. It is when we find ourselves giving that we also receive as we become larger than life.

Spiritual Awakening: Rock Your World!!!

 

When you commit to taking action and getting on your spiritual path you also need to commit to rocking your world. The first step to rocking your world is to look at what is serving you and what is not serving you. Evaluate people and things and ask the question is this serving me and helping me to achieve a greater good. If the answer is no then eliminate that person or thing. Sometime we hold on to people or things and we actually hold ourselves back from reaching the pinnacle of our life. The idea is for you to make your own highlight reel and not worry what others may think. In doing things differently and rocking your world you are going to have detractors and those who don’t understand. The simple fact of life is to flow with that which serves you and allows you to walk in your truth and  enhance your personal, professional, and spiritual life.
When you choose to rock your world and to walk in your truth you will unleash your inner champion. In becoming a champion you will rock your world as you make a mind, body, soul connection thus taping into a divine power that will guide you toward the greatness and prosperity that is your birthright. I have found that when I am focused on shining my light and illuminating the world that nothing can stop me from rocking my world. I have cone to understand that there will be people that do not appreciate your talents and will use their perceived power to block you it is when this happen that I remind myself that  I am a divine child of GOD and GOD has great plans for me.  I also remind myself that at the end of the day all that truly matters is did I live the day in joy and did I bring joy to others. I further remind myself that all I have to do is please myself, walk in my truth by honoring and praising GOD and everything will work out. To be a champion and rock you world stay connected to GOD and his plans are far greater than yours.

Spiritual Awakening: Disappointment Turns To Enlightenment!!!

As the regular readers of this blog know I am very dedicated to helping those touched by cancer through my involvement with Relay For Life. Over the years I have emceed many Relays. This year as The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Boca Raton approached I reached out to The People Lead about being the emcee and was told they had that covered. The day of The Relay arrived and I went to Relay and when asked about doing  announcements was told only the staff partner and The People Lead would be making announcements. I was a bit surprised as well as disappointed as I have been the voice of this Relay for the previous 12 years. I understand that people want to change it up and you want to give  other people a chance, however when you have one of the best at their craft who is passionate about the cause and has raised the kind of money I have raised you find a way to include me. I was very angry and I expressed this to the people lead who was so caught up in her title and having power she didn’t even engage with me. Her answer was people don’t want all that talking they just want to enjoy the event.  After my initial anger and disappointment subsided I had the opportunity to sit quietly and reflect and then I realized that not everyone will appreciate your talents and there will be those that are intimidated because while many talk I do.  I then thought that it doesn’t matter if I emcee or not that I am there to honor my mom, Judith Miller, who was called home to GOD on July 5, 2012 after suffering a massive heart attack while battling non-operable metastatic lung cancer and even though I know I could have  engaged the audience and brought excitement to the event emceeing or even making announcements was not what GOD had in mind for me to do that night.

As I walked the Luminaria lap I had an aha moment which put things into perspective. I received a message from source, I believe it was from my mother telling me that sometimes working quietly behind the scenes serves the great purpose. I am working on releasing my disappointment of not being the emcee as well as not being asked to be part of the committee. This could also be a Message from GOD that he has something much bigger in store for me. The enlightening moment occurred earlier today when I realized that at the end of the day all that matters is  that I was impeccable with my word, didn’t take anything personally, didn’t judge, and always did my best. I also realized that as long as I go where I am honored and respected and not just tolerated that everything will be okay.  I also have come to understand that not everyone will understand my level of commitment and my ways of doing anything. I also learned that instead of dwelling on the disappointment look at the good that came from me not being the emcee like being able to do an oracle card reading and put someone at ease and collect $20 for the cause for doing this, to be able to man a booth and receive donations for The SUJA Juice I had donated, and to have the ability to see Relay For Life from a different perspective.
