Spiritual Awakening:Stop Majoring In The Minor!
As we embrace the spiritual awakening process we need to stop majoring in the minor and look at the big picture. This week there was made about President Trump not allowing transgenders to enlist for military service. While this is a major issue the truth of the matter is that I really haven’t interacted with many transgenders in my lifetime and when I have I have been kind and compassionate remembering that it is not my place to judge. All over Facebook I saw people getting upset with this and arguing and I thought what our country needs is to stop majoring in the minor and to have a spiritual awakening recognizing that we are all divine children of GOD and we should not be judged by appearance but by our actions. It is time for a dose of spirituality so that we can stop worrying about the small stuff and remember it is all small stuff. The rule of the day needs to be kindness and love in all that you do. The finger pointing and excuse making needs to stop. It is time that we all understand that we a re more alike than we are different. I recommend that you stop watching all the negative news and get out in the community and get to know the people in your community that we stop with the chip on our shoulder and our entitlement attitude and start asking ourselves how do we help others to become more loving and compassionate. The discussions that have come across Facebook with people calling each other names because you have a different point of view does not help to enhance your personal, professional, or spiritual life instead it allows for the negative influences to permeate your thoughts thus stopping you from creating the life you desire. Think about what you are focusing on.
Think about what would happen if you stopped listening to the news and started to go for walks in nature or started to mediate and then took action on something you have been meaning to do but have been putting off because of the doubters, the haters, the naysayers, and your negative self talk. Instead of watching the news what if you took time to visit a children’s hospital or a nursing home and simply interacted with people without discussions of politics and religion but instead with discussion of who they are and how they were contributing to the betterment of the world. What if instead of say oh I wish I could do something about that you found a way to do something about that. The solutions to create a world with peace, love, joy, and prosperity are out there if we stop majoring in the minor. The first step is to realize that we are all divine children of GOD destined to do great things. What if instead of complaining about President Trump and Congress we all got together on the same wave length and started helping one another. Instead of complaining about the mess that the spring breakers made on the beach why not organize a clean up and do what you can to promote recycling. Yelling, screaming, and complaining will not fix the problem positive action will. What if instead of taking out your cell phone to film someone getting beaten up you stepped in and helped until the proper authorities arrived. This week a horrendous video was being circulated of teens watching a man drown begging to question where has our moral compass gone. We must get back to valuing life and showing compassion so that these incidents do not occur. We must stop majoring in the minor by doing the right thing and encouraging others to do the same. We must begin to teach people to respect one another and to be of service and value so that heinous acts like the one described above do not happen. Instead of making excuses and pointing fingers we must learn to get in touch with our inner divinity and show others how to be of service and value to others. We have gotten so caught up in the materialistic things and wanting fame and fortune that we have lost sight of the big picture and that is to be a loving and caring person and to help our fellow human beings and find ways to be a positive force in our community.
It is time to find ways to stop majoring in the minor and find ways to serve. It is time to stop listening to the media and start listening to yourself and following your heart. Think about it if we began to interact with one another and find ways to be of service and value to each other how we could effect positive change in our world. We have a divine guidance system inside of each of that when we follow it we no longer major in the minor and our world becomes a better place. Think about if today you went out and met 5 new people in your community and simply found a way to help them get what they want in doing this you will get what you want.
