Spiritual Awakening: Striking A Nerve!!!
When you walk in truth and righteousness sometimes you will strike a nerve with others that may not be as spiritually awakened or as aware as you are. In the ever changing spiritual awakening and growth process you will encounter people who simply do not resonate with your message. It is times when you are taking action that you are bound to strike a nerve. When you strike a nerve the best thing you can do is back off and simply ask GOD to bless the person whose nerve you struck in hopes that they won’t react similarly when the situation arise again. Most of the people I encounter are nice and understanding however there are those who I seem to strike a nerve with as I am passionate about what I do to be a lifter and help others. The truth is that not everyone is ready to be lifted however those that are ready will be presented to you and will be open to receive your message as they become awakened and decide to be on a path to improve their personal, professional, and spiritual life.
When you strike a nerve and someone gets their ire up all you can do is say I am sorry I have seemed to have offended you and simply walk a way because being confrontational is like wrestling a pig in the mud you both get dirty but the pig enjoys it. You may want to help but if the person you are helping is not ready to accept your help then all efforts are futile and it is time to move on. Remember as I have written many times before it is not your job to bring people kicking and screaming onto the path it is your job to shine your light bright and to illuminate the world so that when people are ready to get on the path you can be their guide. Spiritual Awakening: Finding Joy!!!
People have asked me JDOGG how do you continue to find joy after losing your job on Friday, being in a Dunkin Donuts that was robbed on Friday, and all the other things that you have been through in your life. I answer very simply by being grateful for the experiences and understanding that if GOD brought me to it GOD will bring me through it. If I commit to serve GOD with love and joy in my heart GOD will deliver love and joy into my heart. When I stay connected to GOD I am able to find joy and comfort. Through this connection I am able to give praise to GOD and show gratitude thus creating a life filled with much peace, love, joy, and prosperity. I have come to learn through the spiritual awakening process that it is when we are connected spiritually that we can create a better human existence.
In giving praise to GOD I have been able to find joy despite some of the obstacles that have come into my life. I have come to understand that GOD will not put anything on your plate that you can not handle. I have also come to learn that GOD will put people in your life that may create some adversity so as to teach you lessons so that you can move forward in a positive direction of your dreams. It is when we give the glory to GOD that we are able to receive glory here on earth. It is through praise and acknowledgement of GOD that we can check our ego at the door and stop edging GOD out. It is when we are connected to GOD that we find joy.
We may have some sadness that our weeping washes away so as to make room for the joy that GOD will give us. It is when we go very deep inside and tap into our inner divinity that we are able to let go and let god and thus find joy that then leads to abundance. It is important to find out what makes you happy and what also pleases GOD and then to take action to follow whatever it is that brings joy into your life and also pleases GOD. Read More→
Spiritual Awakening: Weathering The Storm!!!
As I sit at Starbucks the chatter is all about The impending storm, Hurricane Matthew. The stores in the area have been ravaged of bread, water, and other staples. The gas stations are out of gas. I say wow so many people acting out of fear in an effort to weather a storm. I take a moment to reflect and realize that if GOD brought me to it GOD will bring me through it. I look at the worst case scenario, the best case scenario, and the most likely case scenario and then decide to release it all to GOD, The Ascended Masters, and The Angels. As the storm approaches I began to think about how many figurative storms I have experienced and any storms that I am currently experiencing and how important it is to tap into my inner divinity and go with my divine guidance system.
On of my storms is that I am have a tendency to hold things in and then explode with anger. This was the case this week at work as I have been giving The Owner of the store where I work ideas about improving his business and was told by another employee that I wasn’t doing my job right as I sold a piece of memorabilia that was retailing for $749.99 for $600 as we were doing a sale and this was authorized by the owner who after I sold the piece raised the price and sold a similar piece for $900. Instead of saying good job and telling me in the future check with him he had an employee point this out and the employee didn’t even acknowledge my sale and instead started to criticize me and that is when my human side got in the way of my spiritual side and I exploded. This anger stayed with me until I went to pick up merchandise to bring to the store I work at from another location and when I finally went face to face with the employee it got really heated. I then realized that being angry and letting this consume me was like wrestling a pig in the mud as you both get dirty but the pig enjoys it. It was at this time that I decided that I can not fight the windmills and be like Don Quixote and to go back to the teachings of the spiritual leaders who have taught me these four agreements. Spiritual Awakening: One More Day!!!
The news broke on Sunday morning of the passing of Jose Fernandez and 2 others in a boating accident. The world lost 3 young individuals who were being of service and value through their various platforms. An entire community mourned and looked for answers. This news left many asking fro just one more day to sped time with their loved ones who have been called home to GOD. Later in the day the news broke that Arnold Palmer had passed ad again many were saddened. As I sat in reflection of this news I began to realize that life is precious and that every moment should be cherished. Each day someone who s in your life is here on earth you should make it a point to acknowledge them and lift them so that you are not left wishing for one more day.
As I did my best to wrap my head around the passing of Jose Fernandez I began to look back on the passing of another one of my favorite baseball players, Thurman Munson, who passed on my 14th Birthday on August 2,1979. I started to understand that this is a circle of life and when GOD feels you have served your purpose here on earth he will call you home to his kingdom. As I watched the memorial for Jose Fernandez while I was working at Sinbad Sports I was in a quandary as to whether or not it was right to make money off of the tragedy of losing someone. I began to understand that it was the nature of the business that I was in and realized that with people purchasing jerseys and memorabilia it would help them through the grieving process. As I began to sell T he JoseFernandez items I realized that with each sale I was able to give a little bit of compassion to the lives of those that were impacted by Jose Fernandez. I was also reminded that I had a responsibility to be a shining light of hope and healing to those I came in contact with so that peace, love, joy, and understanding became the theme of the day. each day families across the world have to deal with the passing of those that have passed and when the passing is sudden it shakes the very core of their spirituality. It is at these times that we must realize that everything that occurs happens for a reason and the only one who truly knows why is GOD. When the passing of those that we admire come we must make sure that we carry on their legacy by bringing bliss and prosperity wherever we go. We can learn from Jose Fernandez to be joyful and grateful. We can learn from Thurman to be loving and compassionate. We can learn from those who have gone before us to be loving in all we do. It is through the trials and tribulations that we grow personally, professionally, and spiritually. Read More→
Spiritual Awakening: Rising Above!!!
As I witnessed many of the events unfolding this week I began to see a lot of hate being spewed by so many people and I thought back to a campaign done by The WWE, Rise Above Hate. When we make a conscious decision through our spiritual awakening to rise above and hold a special place for everyone even those who have wronged us we can start an avalanche of positivism that leads to a world filled with peace, love, joy, and prosperity. When we decide to let go of issues and begin to understand that we are more alike than we are different we can rise above by helping people to become better personally, professionally, and spiritually. It is when we decide to take action becoming a vessel filled with hope, compassion, and love that we will shine a bright light and illuminate the world.
Yesterday was The International Day of Peace. I believe peace day should be every day and we should do everything that we can to preserve the sanctity of life. We should make it a point everyday to rise above all challenges that are blocking us from becoming peaceful and compassionate beings. We should be looking for ways to be of service and value to others daily. Each day in order to rise above we should be looking for ways to be kind to one another. Each day is an opportunity to grow and make a positive difference in our lives and in the lives of others. I suggest that we begin to focus on the positive and to begin to encourage people to assume an attitude of gratitude. If we are truly going to rise above we need to start with being grateful. Spiritual Awakening: A Time For Hope And Healing!!!
As I left work on Friday I was stopped at a red light when my car was rear ended. I got out of the car and the guy that hit me said pull over there and I’ll give you my information. Well without thinking I moved my car. The guy left the scene of the accident. I called the police but when told that they couldn’t do much without a tag number I decided not to file a report. As I drove home I prayed that this person would not hurt anyone else or any property. I kept thinking now is a time for hope and healing and to start a movement where people do the right thing. When I arrived home I went to Youtube and played this Matthew West Song. I asked GOD for more peace, love, joy, and prosperity in my life. I asked that GOD also keep me connected to my inner divinity so that I can stay on a path that leads to hope and healing. Over the weekend I worked at Sinbad Sports and decided to make every encounter a positive one. I shared with customers why I was limping a bit and a little slow on the up take and they were very understanding. I could have decided to be mad at the world because of what transpired on Friday but I decided to let go and let GOD. As a result had 2 good days. I then decided to recommit to praying every day and to remind myself that I am a divine child of GOD and if GOD brought me to it GOD will bring me through it. In deciding to take action to be a vessel that represents hope and healing I have been able to move forward in a positive direction of my dreams. I have come to understand that by be a living message of hope and healing I can have a positive effect on the lives of those that I come in contact with and as a result of shining my light I have the ability to allow others to shine their light and before we know it we are illuminating the world. Spiritual Awakening: A Change Of Scenery!!!
As I reflected back on my experience as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in The Philippines and a very insightful trip to The Botanical Garden in La Union I realized that as we awaken spiritually we must change our scenery from time to time. I remember the day I ventured to the Botanical Garden it was extremely hot and the walk from the center of San Fernando was about 6 KM( 4 miles). I was alone but along the way I was able to stop and engage with some of the local Filipinos and they all said the same thing it is a long walk here is some tubig (water). I took the water and drank it and as I walked I realized just how lucky I was to have the opportunity to do something that showed that the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations. I arrived at The Botanical Garden and as I walked the garden grounds and saw some great sites I sat on the bench pictured here and really began to understand that if I want to things to change I had to change. As I rode in the jeepney down the mountain all I could think of was how a change of scenery can positively affect your attitude. It was at that point that I realized that sometimes all it takes is a change of scenery to change the way things are going in your life. I finished my service with the Peace Corps in February 2003 and here it is 13 1/2 years later that I find myself using this lesson to enhance my personal, professional, and spiritual life.
Where I live now we have a big lake and in some areas around the lake there are benches to sit and just enjoy being out in nature. On days when it is clear and I get off work early or have a day off I will find myself walking around the lake and then sitting on a bench and sitting in quiet reflection or talking with GOD. Sometimes I find myself speaking with my mom who was called home to GOD on July 5, 2012. When reflecting or communicating with GOD, my mom, and other angels I find myself getting a new way of looking at things. I have found that when doing this I am able to release the negative feelings that create blockages and hold me back from evolving and creating the life I want. Read More→
Spiritual Awakening: The Tongue Of Danger!!!
As I grow spiritually and become more and more awake I realize that sometimes being bold and speaking up creates some issues as you may be speaking with a tongue of danger. Such was the case this week when a gentleman came into the store where I was working and I shared with him about our discount on a specific item. He answered me with”You are not speaking my language and I don’t give a shit.” I wasn’t to happy so I asked him to calm his attitude he said to his companion I guess we are not welcomed here. I said you are welcomed here but please treat me with the respect I deserve. He left and on his way out I said can you say dickhead I knew you could. I thought I said it low enough but for those who know me even when I whisper my voice carries. He heard this and he totally went off threatening to call the Better Business Bureau. I know I was a bit out of line with my attitude and there is no excuse for me calling him a name. As I reflected back on the situation I realized that I had spoken with a tongue of danger creating malice instead of love. I realized that my human existence had interfered with my spiritual existence and that I must stop speaking with a tongue of danger and instead and begin to speak with a tongue that exudes compassion and love. In being aware of what happens when we speak with a tongue of danger we can take action to refrain from being hurtful and callous toward one another and instead be kind and loving. As I sat in meditations and recited the serenity prayer and read scriptures I realized that there will be times when you must hold back your tongue and refrain from using the tongue of danger.
In understanding that GOD is a forgiving GOD I asked that he forgive me and help me to speak with a tongue of peace, love, joy, and prosperity instead of a tongue of danger. I asked GOD to guide me in my daily life when I deal with issues that come up in my personal, professional, and spiritual life. I have come to understand that each situation is a situation that GOD has created to help me to evolve spiritually so that I can become an enlightened being who will shine a bright light of hope and healing so as to illuminate the world. Spiritual Awakening: Born To Be Alive!!!
What a feeling it is to know that you were born to be alive and to be an action taker who inspires others to step into their power and shine their light to illuminate the world. As you awaken spiritually you will experience feelings that help to attract more peace, love, joy, and prosperity into your life. As you take action to pursue your purpose you will face challenges and by overcoming those challenges you will become stronger personally, professionally, and spiritually. As you begin to follow your passion and take action you will find success. As you come more and more alive by tapping into your inner divinity you will find that bliss and abundance begin to come naturally to you. When you begin to tune into the messages that are being transmitted to you through various frequencies you will see that your days begin to unfold just as you desired them to. Today I was guided by GOD to wear my Count Your Blessings Not Your Problems Shirt and I bumped into a friend at the polling place who kind of scoffed at the shirt while a total stranger took pictures and share them on social media. In knowing that I had just touched someone’s life I had a joyful feeling as I knew that I was doing the right thing. In awakening and answering a calling we can all affect change by coming alive and committing to be of service and value to the community. We can release all of the negativity in our life by realizing that we were born to be alive and to serve as a catalyst of positivism. Read More→
Spiritual Awakening: Making The Switch!!!
As I begin to become more and more aware and awake through the spiritual awakening process I realize how important it is to take action and make the switch. This was very evident when on 8/19/2016 I decided to switch mobile phone carriers from Verizon to T-Mobile. I am currently in the process of finalizing this process and I have gained some excellent spiritual lessons. One lesson was that one must be patient and when things are not going well or as planned to step back take a breath and know that everything will work out. I have also learned that the attitude you bring to the process determines the outcome. In taking action and consulting the ascended masters making a switch and taking action was made that much easier. In the past I would have made every excuse not to switch and not to take action as I was coming from a position of lack. With this switch I came from a position of abundance and realized that this change would be a great benefit to me. How many times have you been hesitant to make a switch and didn’t take action leaving you to ask what might have been or what could have been. as I continue to work with my new phone I realize that change is good. It is through the awakening process that you will be able to make switching things up easier so that you continue to evolve in your personal, professional, and spiritual life.
Through the switching of carriers I have learned that you must be willing to detach and let go and allow GOD to direct you. In letting go and letting GOD you create the ability to be open to change by receiving and acting upon the messages from GOD, The Ascended Masters, and The Angels. It is being accepting of change that you remove blockages that may be holding you back from becoming the best person you can become. In accepting change and not being attached to outcome you will be able to expand mentally, physically, and spiritually. In making changes you will begin to attract peace, love, joy, and prosperity into your life. Read More→
